Nice map! I liked it. Admittedly, the health and armor regen right at the end before the elevator was unnecessary - still, the mod was nice to play and well-balanced. Great work!

This was basically a fan remake of We've Got Hostiles. Really good, and I liked the part with the marine ambush and the music playing, although he should have looped it or something because it cut out about a fifth of the way through the fight. All in all, good mod!

This was great, but there was one big problem. When I got to the scientist in the security office, he stood up and then disappeared. This pretty much soft locked me. Other than that, the mod was great.

This map is awesome, it may not be artistically superior. But the music choice is awesome, the combat mechanics are with it. And of course there's actually moments for you to collect your thoughts instead of fighting 3 million marines. Well done!

Wonderful map! The aesthetics were well done and the combat was just right. My only issue was with that checkpoint at the last fight. It dropped me in front of a grenade and a HECU at sniffing distance. I just tried again and put a save in a better place, so not too big of an issue. :resmile:

Cool stuff, I liked the little jump scare and the back tracking, reminded me of the place just before rocket silo.

My only minor issue was a checkpoint that happens during the last battle as I walked through the metal container it auto save just as I was getting blasted by a shotgun and 50.cal and the game quickly replaced the previous checkpoints with me getting blasted so I had to replay a small chunk of the map to get back.

Other than that, the enemies in that last section were a little overwhelming at first but once I mapped out the nearby pickups I got through just fine.

great map, maybe a bit too spread out, and i did encounter some lighting errors probably like how Perogi reported. Liked the nice vent section, but I feel there was a drought of enemies

Pretty solid map, just a few technical issues with fullbright crates and a missing texture behind the warehouse pillar.

Even though this map has its flaws, I really liked it. You had some pretty smart ideas gameplay wise. The map could use some more sound to build up an atmosphere, and a bit more detail in some areas would be great. But overall great map. Keep up the good work.

Thank you for playing my map, I'm glad you enjoyed it! I guess that must be a problem with the latest Black Mesa update. Weird, since it didn't show up when I played the map recently, but then again, it's probably because my potato laptop can't run with dynamic lights and CSM :p I'll see what I can do about it when/if I update the map, maybe it'll just go away after a recompile, but it doesn't look like it should affect gameplay too much.

Fairly short but well designed and fun to play map. Could have done with a bit more detailing and sound but the exploring and combat encounters were enjoyable. Definitely worth a play.

The map should be working correctly now as of the 1.5 Definitive Edition update (november 25th 2020). If you had any issues with the map previously, now would be an excellent time to give it another shot :steamhappy:

I just gave it another retry, now on the beta. I can confirm that fixes the scientist and also fixes some dialogues being broken in the first run. It all works in beta!

Still, a fun map! Better the second time!

The Black Mesa workshop is known to be very broken at the moment, however it seems like they will be fixing a lot of it in the 1.5 Definitive Edition. I haven't yet tried out the beta, but this map might work better in the beta if you're willing to test it.

Great map! Unfortunately, even with instructions, the scientist still seems to get stuck in the security room. I'm not sure if it could be related to an update, but I did follow the instructions to manually copy the custom content.

Maybe it would be a good idea to include some kind of automatic override for cutscene failure, just in case?

Short but pretty good! Maybe I would have added a few more zombies or vortigaunts in the small corridors but the level overall was very well desgined.

It's a problem with the Black Mesa workshop. Custom scripts aren't loaded through the workshop. It seems to affect other maps as well. In order to play this map, you have to manually set up a "custom" folder and install the map manually. See the linked guide at the top of the description on how to do that.

Strange. It works for me when running just from the VPKs downloaded via the workshop in the custom folder and no local files otherwise. Did you copy "accesspoint_dir.vpk" and "accesspoint_000.vpk" into the custom folder as well?

Allright. It seems like custom scenes aren't properly supported for workshop mods at the moment, which is a shame :steamsad:. As a workaround, you'll have to move the VPK files from the workshop folder (SteamApps/workshop/content/362890/2161275016) to a custom folder in order for the scenes to be loaded properly. I'll update the description with this information as well. For now, just set up a custom folder and copy the mod there and try playing the map again.

Just finished to play your map, it was very nice, with a very cool final battle. Scientist did nothing for me too (i don't have any other map/mod installed atm) so i had to noclip, but not so disappointing. I was expected to fight with a tank or an heli at the end, but for me it's a solid 4/5 stars. Congrats for your good job

Fresh install of Black Mesa - No other Mod/Workshop item installed and the Scientist does nothing. Disappointing :(
