I know this hasn't been updated in a couple of years, but I noticed that the Psi PCS still doesn't seem to be usable by anyone other than the vanilla psi operative class. Is there an existing workaround for this?

I assume the Amp Boosters wouldn't show up if I have the No More Psi Amps Mod installed?

The items are not showing up in the build item menu because of the psioffense item category not being added by the mod. Put this in XComGameData.ini to fix it:

[XComGame.X2ItemTemplateManager]
+BuildItemMiscCategories="psioffense"

I can't unlock the booster/whip even after doing all of the research either. Has anyone fixed this problem?

I don't know if anyone has figured out what the issue is, but I'm also experiencing the problem of the Booster and Whip not showing up to be built even after the research said it was unlocked

This seems to be working great. Just one thing: Psi PCSes say they boost "Will", but they actually boost Psi Offence. Not sure what's up with that or if there's a way to fix it.

In either case, thanks for the mod.

Same. Don't have Amp Booster or Whip showing up. Probably some kind of mod conflict.

Just noticed that I don't have the Amp Booster either.

I'm using Prototype Armory, but that from my experience with other should only affect the costs if something isn't set right. And it's a single build item to begin with. So that's probably not it

Yeah sadly the booster or amp is not appearing with shen, even thought it says it's been unlocked in the research

bit late here, but i also don't have the amp booster or neuro whip show up. i don't use PGO (either 1 or 2), so that's not the issue. there's probably a conflict somewhere though.

You should be able to build the Amp Booster after you do the sectoid autopsy and research Psionics. Neuro Whip is unlocked to build after the Gatekeeper autopsy and have researched Psionics. And you should be able to build them in Shen's workshop.

I've played with this mod for about 3 campaigns, and things went smoothly, but I can't seem to find the Amp Booster or Whip after researching them. The Psi PCSs are the only part of this mod that show up. Could it possibly conflict with Proving Ground Overhaul V2?

It's not LW2, just the classes and perks mod. If this mod adjusts the exact same drop tables as another mod (i.e. they both do a -loottable and a +loottable to replace it with a new one), will it be compatible or will the changes cancel out and make one or the other's items not drop? edit: nvm, looks like LW2 classes and perks adds its own Psi PCSs, I'll just uncomment Cut Content Psi's PCS loottable changes. Thanks for the psi items, looking forward to trying them out.

Also, while browsing the code I found what might be some typos. In X2Item_CutContentPsionics.uc, the Amp Booster has an ability added to it called NewAmpBooster and the Neurowhip has an ability added to it called NewNeurowhip. However, in both the localization and X2Ability_CutContentPsionics.uc file, the abilities are just called "AmpBooster" and "Neurowhip" respectively. I haven't really had a chance to test this mod out in-game yet so I'm not sure what kind of problem this mismatch could be causing (if it even is causing one).

@Ypherh, with the workaround I added to grant a hard Psi bonus per PCS level, the PCSs should work on any soldier now.

@Ypherh, he answers that in the description. The RPGO soldiers are not ever flagged as legit Psi as they aren't trained in the Lab, so these Psi PCS don't work on them. This has been a thing for as long as GrimyLoot has been around, since that's where these came from.

Looking forward to the Highlander update that fixes that.

does not make sense to unlock Psi boosters in the base game if you have no Psi soldiers because psionics is not yet unlocked.

@Latis psi offense increases your success rate of psi abilities based on "psi VS Will" success chances (mainly mind-related abilities)
