It definitely needs to be added to vanilla, I absolutely hate not knowing whether my farm or base design will fit in it, but something to note, the dummies placement blocking range is slightly smaller than the flingo's. (with geometric placement having the flingos in the center of a tile you can place berry bushes on the edge of the tile with the dummy, but not with the real one)

this mod is a neat idea and looks as though it should be in the game with all the detail it has, you did a good job making it

uh oh, I just noticed the dummy can be placed in places that the real one won't. I want to use this just as a QOL mod, and thus only planning, which means this should be fixed! For others who want it as a gameplay-altering mod (adding parts to upgrade it to a real one) I don't know if this is intentional, to allow flingomatics to be build in more places, or if it won't succeed or otherwise can result in bugs or glitches!

Awesome. Love the idea of log with a note stuck to it.

This is under "all_clients_require_mod" but in-game I saw it's a server mod. Is this categorization correct?

Glad to hear everything worked out ok. I was afraid when you hammered it down it for some reason it wouldnt refund and would be mad at me. Thank you for using my mod.

ye, I have to hammer it down and rebuild the real Ice flingo since both me and my friend were confused about why we can't put the gears in when everything else is perfectly fine XD (we have used this mod for months now)

@Theobeo20vn When I tried it out it still works for me. Does only the old ones not work, or the new ones you build not work as well? If the new ones work then just knock the old one down, you should get the materials back.

Also you have "Right-Click" to "repair" in order to add gear rather than "Left-Click" to "give" like the others.

leme know if it still bugs out

also, your dummy doesn't require alchemy engine, which means you can craft ice flingomatic without it.

@Scriturs its not a hud. its a building. So, while it is perhaps possible i think to have a client mod that does something like this, it would be very different from what im doing. In the future i or someone else might try to make it happen but its not as simple as "making a client version of this mod"

Since it is just appearance, an illusion, hud, could you create a client version? which shows only the range and the space that ice occupies.

btw... srry if i read as picky or pushy, but this idea is really cool to implement in other things...

if you maybe want ¿can you make this same thing...but for farms and pig houses? (dont worry about making the art) like, i would love to pre-build "place-holders" for farms/pig houses and flingos, and slowly build them.


Btw, back in the day there used to be a Dont starve solo mod called "BASE PLAN" that was supper cool (it was ghost place-holders for structures)...until the modder stopped updating it and the game upgrading render it obsolette... i dunno if the code for that mod could help you somehow

I love the concept! It would be nigh perfect if it used the same building components that the Portal Paraphernalia and the Hermit Crab's house uses, instead of just examining it.

gg, but we all out here just building the flingo anyways.
Would be better in the nothing world, as all those resources would take ages to collect.
