Coolest spy jacket

It'd be really cool if there was a cosmetic paint with the color of this jacket, so you can paint different Spy hats to match it.

Still makes the Spy a little top heavy. I know it's in the game, but it kind of clashes horribly with the default skin, and worse with a mountain of hats. The render that included what I believe are the Breakneck Baggies actually shows how good the item is, but alone it carries too much visual weight..
Maybe we could see an update with another style that uses the Spy's default, muted palette someday? I want to love this item because it's clever, and fits the Spy's character, but it just doesn't work on it's own yet, imo.

Fits with spy's aesthetic. The color is questionable though.

the item looks alright but it ruins the spy's design, spy was supposed to have a distinct color but this just changes it to the red other classes use, now you wouldn't even recognise a spy around a corner and just assume it's another class

Congrats on this getting in-game. Although I wish some matching pants were made or added to make a full one-piece set like the Lurker's leathers.

Giving Spy a velvet outfit instead of standard pinstripe is a really interesting concept but I will say it's kinda "clashy" in it's current state.

I agree with Knusperfrosch. The jacket is supposed to be tacky imo. It mimics a cigarette carton. The tie is a cigarette. Lore-wise, it ssays it is obtained (in the Tf2 Universe) by mailing in the code located on the backs of 50,000 "Mannborough" Cigarette Cartons. It is a promotional item designed by a company. It is very tacky, and that's the point.

As for paintability, maybe instead of making the white shirt paintable, make the lower half of the tie (below the golden stripe) paintable? I feel the shirt should stay white.

I really like that the tie's coloration is cigarette-themed, that's a clever touch.

I agree with other commenters that the BLU version's pants match up better with the colour of the suit jacket than the RED version's pants, but since the Spy's pants can't be altered there's nothing to be done. It's not that big of a deal, IMO. The pants match the balaclava.

I think that makes it even better, because deep-down, Spy is incredibly tacky. He just affects this air of the suave gentleman. But we're talking about a guy who also snorts when he laughs, whose voicelines taunting other classes are just as schoolyard-childish as Scout's voicelines, and who wears camera-beards and silly hats from Mann Co.

Spy desperately wants to be this famous James Bond gentleman spy figure, but really he isn't; as we've seen in the comics, there are mercenary teams employed by the Administrator and Gray Mann who were far more famous than the "Team Fortress". The Admin once called our mercs "18 total idiots" (in the secret files from the Doomsday map) who are convenient for her to keep the war between Blutarch and Redmond running for years. Yet they prevail somehow, often by dumb luck.

Well, as a Medic main, I will hate getting blood on this Spy's suit.
But hey, needs must. (shoots Spy in head with crossbow and steals his jacket)
