There will be a real internal combustion plant
Comrade Sky  [author] 23 Dec, 2022 @ 1:03pm
did they add combined heating and power plants?
Master Roshi 23 Dec, 2022 @ 8:51am
Do you plan an additional heat output for the gas powerplant?
Comrade Sky  [author] 25 Jun, 2021 @ 2:46pm
It works just as well as any other power plant. Make sure it has engineers or it won't work.

and with full worker still low

the power plant seen it dosent work i build 3 of them and conect the fuel line they Power generation effectiveness is pretty low

You can do that pretty easily, but there isn't really a good place for it, and this seems pretty well balanced. You might want to use a comb from another creator here. I added it to the Power & heat collection.

Could you add another HV connection?

@Comrade Sky: It's another mod i mean https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2299072550

All large coolstores from the workshop requires the placement of a power plant beside it, because no coolstore has any HV connections.

Your power plant fit perfectly to feed these coolstores directly. But for my gameplay to save fuel for gas stations, I prefer bitumen for these power plant, which unfortinuately doesn't exist as mod in this size in the workshop. That's why I ask for a bitumen version of your plant. ;)
Comrade Sky  [author] 30 Jan, 2021 @ 9:10am
What do you mean by coolstore?

"There are no HV connections"
2 HV connections (up to 36 MW).
5 MV connections (up to 11.75 MW)

@Comrade Sky: yes, you right. The production per person is a bit lower, but the plant is overall a bit more stable. That's what I mean.

But anyway, I think I will make a separate mod with a bitumen power plant, I use your plant now mainly for the big modern coolstore, because there are no HV connections and you need to place a whole power plant besite it, this is so ridiculous :steamhappy:

I think it's time for natural gas in the game ;)

If you have just 10 engineers and 15 workers, it will also produce less power. You should only need 11 or 12 for full production, IIRC. You can very easily adjust this in the config file if you would like.

I don't know if I'll have time to do that. I would also like ships that run on bitumen since it is similar to heavy fuel oil.

Tested this mod for the first time, the Idea is very nice. I wish there is also the same plant using Bitumen (as a replacement for heavy old). The only problem i recognized was the very low work force which caused a voltage drop from time to time. I reccomend for that to raise workert to 25 people or 30, the amount of engineers seems to be good.

TOP Comrade Sky

I have added geothermal heating and power. I am adding it as a separate item and creating a collection.
Vimes 19 Jul, 2020 @ 1:45am
Great that you are considering adding to your gas heating plants, thanks for that consideration.

Thanks for telling me about the small gas heating plant. These are most useful, using an alternative source of power gives us good choices.

Many thanks.

Cannot wait for Gas Heating!
Burning coal all the time is costly imo and you need a chunk of infrastructure to serve it.
Imo Gas/Fuel is easier at the beginning due to the mod with the small Refinery. (Also Bitumen is making a profit)
Comrade Sky  [author] 18 Jul, 2020 @ 4:36am
Vimes, I plan to add more gas heating plants, but a I have a small one that produces 95 m3 of heat on the site already.

Great idea and thanks for sharing.
Look forward to you being bale to add lit windows, when you are able to. Love how the city looks at night.
Sometimes I wish that modders are able to only light some windows and not all, when they are making places to live.
I do like the aged texture look that some modders seem to be able to create, the weathered look fits well with this game.
Great idea to use fuel, just so happens that my refinery producing fuel is next to my growing industrial area.

A fuel fed heating plant would also be useful, not requesting :)

Looks good, i will give it a spin.
I liker your considerations about balancing it!
