(In much the same way as other items that get skipped)
If I were to include the vest (for the purposes of LW changing it) then I would also need to include all the other items that also get skipped over for various reasons, so I would say this one is on LWotC to update the display as it adds changes that should be shown (crit defense)
You can look at the vest here https://www.ufopaedia.org/index.php?title=Equipment_(LWOTC)
Unfortunately I have no idea what that could be.
Either mod is fine, but obviously not both together. This mod (core collection edition) has slightly better/cleaner code and was remade from the ground up with help from Iridar. It does not do all the 'extra things' the original does (read the mod descriptions) . Personally I still use the original.
Both mods work fine alongside CBAC. If you are not seeing the extra passive icons for items in the lower left passives corner then it is possible another mod is interfering.
There was only one such mod that I knew of ( Armor & Vest Config ) but I long since thought I'd dealt with that particular issue.
What is the difference? Also, the aforementioned mod does not work for me. I should note I use [WOTC] Cost-Based Ability Colors. Do you think that could be the conflict, and may this mod work instead? :)
Also actually makes it worthwhile to spend the time to compose those messages ;)
I mean it does state in the mods description if you are adding to mod vests you need to go and find the mod ability and add ability to the config, but it doesn't really mention that by itself the mod replaces the base game abilities with it's own versions, or that it removes any/all previous abilities the vest/armor had !
Didnt know Armor and vest config was invasive , its a shame because theres no other mod (that i know of) with that level of item customization .
'StasisVestBonus'
'ScorchCircuits'
'HazmatVestBonus'
and I never noticed that mod does that, that's really invasive of any other mod that adds abilities to any armor or vest, and would seriously effect modded vests
The passive icons this mod provides for vest items dont appear if the Armor and Vest config mod edits them . so for example i put Hazmat vest on my soldier he got the immunity buff but the icon didnt appear .
sorry if all that was weirdly worded ,but this doesnt bother me since ive edited a few of the vest to function differently but i thought i report it just in case someone else asks about icons not appearing.
In related news, check out Iridars Gremlin Scouting Protocol which achieves a cool similar effect to what you mention :)
