As was mentioned earlier, the name of the tower is Orthanc. The valley of Isengard is where Orthanc is located. I could not possibly put a tower named Isengard into my game. All praise be to Tolkien. :D

Does they actually appear on the map?
John Browns Body 9 May, 2014 @ 9:47pm
welsh, they're not saying there were thre palantiri, its saying there were three fortresses, and this one had a palantir (also a lord of the rings nerd. Where are my silmarils bruh)
Welsh Emperor 3 May, 2014 @ 11:59am
Don't know if anybody has pointed this out yet but gondor had four Palantiri one in Minas Anor later know as Minas Tirith one in Minas Ithil later Know as Minas Morgul and the master Palantiri in Osgiliath at the time the capital of Gondor. In Arnor there was three one in annuminas one in Amon sul and one in Elostirion. By the time of The War of the Ring only 4 survived the Anor stone, the Ithil stone, the Orthanc stone and the Elostirion stone. (im a Lord of the Rings nerd)

AaDoOMat 25 Jan, 2014 @ 3:19am

regalmanemperor  [author] 23 Jan, 2014 @ 11:09pm
yeah, I will do it after barad dur, rivendell and meduseld
Silverfishv9 23 Jan, 2014 @ 6:42pm
Now do Dur'gal dur or however that's witten.
regalmanemperor  [author] 22 Jan, 2014 @ 4:38pm
I wouldve but now it includes the fortress of isengard as now it gives a production bonus to match the movies uruk hai forges
kwh2000 22 Jan, 2014 @ 4:20pm
Can you rename it Orthanc please? If not its ok.
MuffBat 22 Jan, 2014 @ 1:11pm
Oh cool! Thanks! :D
regalmanemperor  [author] 21 Jan, 2014 @ 4:48pm
can be played with GK, not sure about vanilla, can be played with BNW
Sgt. Hawkin 21 Jan, 2014 @ 4:46pm
what are the requirements to play this mod?
regalmanemperor  [author] 21 Jan, 2014 @ 12:54pm
ok bonus has been changed
MuffBat 20 Jan, 2014 @ 10:18pm
It giving more science doesnt make sence to me. What about it reducing military unit build time? Makes more sence to me given that an entire army came from that place in the movies.
regalmanemperor  [author] 20 Jan, 2014 @ 4:35pm
did you read the full description?
it just gives a great scientist and a bonus which is even less than the library's bonus
Roah KenOh 20 Jan, 2014 @ 3:43pm
so OP! Who the fuck wastes their time with such wonders?
Miath 20 Jan, 2014 @ 6:43am
You mean the God he turned his back on, Wuptrooper?
Nein, Louis. In the books the bombs at the battle of the Hornburg were magically charged and torch was not applied. Saruman didn't invent gunpowder, it literally doesn't exist.
As an afterthought, I don't hate this so you know, Regal, think it's great. Just was curious to your reasoning and it's apt.
regalmanemperor  [author] 20 Jan, 2014 @ 5:39am
I would give uruks, if i took permission from someone who had made a lotr mod or make them myself when I learn how to
Predator. 20 Jan, 2014 @ 5:15am
Perhaps a hobnailed boot infantry production building would be better, think of all the Orcs that were produced there in the war.
Chapstick 20 Jan, 2014 @ 3:29am
If you build this wonder, do you eventually gain hobbits from it? Ya'know, since
They're taking the hobbits to Isengard? =P
regalmanemperor  [author] 19 Jan, 2014 @ 5:39pm
kinda
i mean look at all the wizards with their magic
and yeah, he is one with the palantir and his straight hair :D
Majestät 19 Jan, 2014 @ 5:36pm
And...... The Great Scientist is Saruman? :D
regalmanemperor  [author] 19 Jan, 2014 @ 5:21pm
yeah, but after reading the books after watching the movies
I thought maybe it would be better if this was a place of magic (research).
Koosalagoopagoop 19 Jan, 2014 @ 5:13pm
You would think this would be a production building. lol
regalmanemperor  [author] 19 Jan, 2014 @ 4:30pm
yeah, thanks for clearing that up
Black Coffee 19 Jan, 2014 @ 4:24pm
@Bikini that was for regal's benefit
regalmanemperor  [author] 19 Jan, 2014 @ 4:06pm
that was fun to watch
Black Coffee 19 Jan, 2014 @ 2:36pm
The "They're taking the Hobbits to Isengard" is a meme. Don't ask questions. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uE-1RPDqJAY
Sardonic 19 Jan, 2014 @ 1:30pm
So this is where they are taking the hobbits...
regalmanemperor  [author] 19 Jan, 2014 @ 11:04am
it doesnt make sense, its random, doesnt need to be said
just like, "my mommy is taking me to disneyland," for a disneyland wonder
I do have a quote that is suitable: "In the moonlight, the Ring of Isengard looked like a graveyard of unquiet dead. For the ground trembled."
Quick Drinky McStinky 19 Jan, 2014 @ 11:00am
WTF? why is the quote not: "We're taking the hobbits to Isengard. To Isengard-gard-gard"
regalmanemperor  [author] 19 Jan, 2014 @ 9:42am
so I think the science bonus should be reduced to 15%
Dreamcaster 19 Jan, 2014 @ 9:33am
A little Overpowered. Make the choice of "full science research" even more powerfull than before, it 's even more unfair.
regalmanemperor  [author] 19 Jan, 2014 @ 8:51am
its a wonder
compare it to the great library that comes an era before
Maquabra 19 Jan, 2014 @ 8:37am
Grossly overpowered and gamebreaking.
Also, as it has already been mentioned, graphics you use present only a portion of the fortress, namely it's tower Orthanc.

@TheAstronomicon: Saruman, like all "wizards", was an artificer who worked with the Valar as their aids. Only later there were sent to Middle-earth as advisors and... keepers, for a lack of a better description.
regalmanemperor  [author] 19 Jan, 2014 @ 7:31am
well, I mean Isengard is(was) the place of the 5 wizards
Barad dur and Dor guldur would be production focused, as they had no other use
Verwarde man 19 Jan, 2014 @ 7:11am
I like he mod, but wouldent it be more logical if the wonder was production focused instead of science? I mean saruman's god spirit of wathever is a smith or something, and in the movie there were all kinds of forges beneath the surface.
Louis XIV 19 Jan, 2014 @ 6:35am
Amazing idea, by the way :)
Louis XIV 19 Jan, 2014 @ 6:34am
Sarouman invented gunpowder in some way, so technically, yes, Isengard could -and should- be a science wonder.
aMAYESingNATHAN 19 Jan, 2014 @ 6:11am
If you meant the actual tower itself it's called Orthanc, sorry to be pedantic
The_Ludd 19 Jan, 2014 @ 1:22am
this is awsome
Iysava 19 Jan, 2014 @ 12:39am
cheering you with each new release! :)
regalmanemperor  [author] 19 Jan, 2014 @ 12:38am
well, magic was the way to progress in LOTR
thats why the elves had the edge, because they had lots of toys
science is the way to progress in civ 5
Miath 19 Jan, 2014 @ 12:20am
How do you figure it relates to science production out of academic curiosity? Saruman of the Many Colors wasn't precisely the great innovator that the 2000's movies made him out to be.
