@pyromaniac777 Thanks for the offer. I have stepped away from modding for some time now, but I would like to get back into it once I'm in the right frame of mind.

The Medallion of Chaqua as it stands won't be ported, I have designs that I created some time back for a complete rework.

I'd be happy to help you port this to WH3, I just need some guidance. Perhaps there is some grunt work that could speed up the process? All I really know how to do is alter tables but I'd love to help

For Those whos don't know which tech tree benefit these units

Skink Cohort (Poison Bombardiers) - Skink Tech tree [isn't it obvious?]
Medalion Guard - Temple Guard Tech tree
Razordon Belchers (acidic vomit stream) - Ancient Salamander

@greyTiger Medallion might not be applying correctly to blessed units. At least tier 1 for Tehenhauin didn't apply to Blessed Chameleon Skinks. Might be worth a quick check vs all blessed units. Nice work and mod.

Changing the way the game functions can be difficult through lua scripts. I'm afraid most of my mods come down to stat boosts with a coat or two of paint at the moment. Hopefully I can find ways to expand upon things in game three.

I disagree with adding negatives; I also disagree with adding positives. I'd rather it actually change the way you use units - more like adding versatility. The game honestly has way too many +stat buffs already.

This mod is neat, but it mostly just feels like a reskinned tech tree. I don't think that's bad, it just doesn't do anything very interesting that lord/hero/tech tree buffs dont already do.

Thanks for the feedback Vaxar Kun. I do intend to create a Warhammer 3 version but it will be a much more involved mechanic like my newer mods. It will as you said have cost / reward choices instead of the straight upgrade.

Not sure if you're are planning any updates still or want to port this to WH3 eventually, but here's some feedback:

Overall, i like the mod. it gives some uniqueness to the lizardmen. However, i think there should be some negatives as well. Right now it's only positives, and the first bonus is applied by default, which gives an advantage early game.

In your skaven mods while it's possible to get updates first turn it costs food, in which case it's a tough call to make. Here, however, there is no question to ask - just play and get bonuses that'll outperform the AI.

Have you considered adding some sort of negatives? Either make the updates cost money or have some really debuffs for other units?


Also, it's not mentioned here, but it appears to be safe compatible i just removed it after camapign.

For purposes of tech/ lord skills, which are medallion guards classified as, saurus warriors or temple guard?

I believe they count to his factions settlement count.

Crap. Sorry Juggling a lot of things at the moment. I took a look at the mod and units. I intend to revisit this mod when my Bretonnia mod is complete, and I will look at integrating with submods other lizardmen mods such as the Red Host.

Cost issue fixed. Will only affect games where you have not yet unlocked the tier 5 upgrades though.

I'll fix the cost issue. Afraid I won't be switching around the UI other than that. It's due for an major overhaul in the future though so I'll keep those things in mind.

Oxy's level 5 currently makes troglodons more expensive instead of less.

Pretty cool mod otherwise, although I would be happier if the full list of bonuses were able to be read in advance, and if the button to exit the Medallion window was in the top corner instead of down the bottom.

I have played through with Oxyotl and do not encounter the issue with the missing upgrade choice. Message pops up and upgrade is available that turn.

As Amazon from the Extended mod with OvN are "lizardmen", the medalion is present on their campaign ; may be you could add some kind of check to remove it for them.

Same thing again. Reached level 3, message pops up: next turn there's no choice, also the UI says "level 4". (18 settlements atm)

Update: a message telling that an upgrade was available popped up like 20 turns ago (level 2, yet they were all greyed out). Just now, another message popped up saying it was time to upgrade it (still level 2), and now I can in fact choose one.

The lord buttons should be enabled on the next turn. A message should popup indicating an upgrade is available.

Hi man. Playing as Oxyotl, since level 1 I have a buff to skink's armor and speed, but I noticed that the Lords in the Medallion UI are greyed out. I am at the 2nd level currently infact, and received no chance to select a bonus.

That sounds like the UI Modding Framework mod is not installed or enabled. It is needed to display the screen related to the button. Once that has been enabled and is above this mod in your load order it should open the screen.

I know how utterly broad this is but what kinds of mods would interfere with this, I can recruit the units and see the icon in the lower right hand corner but when I click on it the interface doesnt come up.

The UI Modding Framework has now been updated. I have tested it with this mod and the freeze and crash no longer occurs. Please make sure you are using the latest version of the framework mod to prevent crashes.

There is a issue with the UI Modding Framework that my mods are based on which occurs when closing the panels. I have informed the author of that mod of the issue and a way to fix it but we now have to wait for them to update their mod I'm afraid.

I use the "Lizardmen Unit Pack" mod and it already has an Ancient Razordon there but it's range-focused, and yours being melee-focused is a nice contrast to that, nice job!
