I asked my friend to download this mod, and then install it into the game's mod file to solve this problem。

1) are you sure you are subscribed, it seems stupid to ask, but I had issues with "subscribed mods" not showing on my subscribed list.

Then

2)Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\downloads
and check if there is a folder named "600480" that Megaquariums ID. You see a folder it means that the download is in "wait"/paused. Restart Steam to kickstart it.

If not

3) Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\600480\2172591293
"600480" is Megaquarium and "2172591293" this mod ID. Copy paste the folder to Documents\My Games\Megaquarium\Mods. As a temporary fix, Steam will fix the issue by itself later. Took me 3 days to fix a download error like this one with a game called Stellaris.

I deleted this mod in the files, but after I resubscribed to it, the mod doesn't work in the game, and I can't even find it in the files.

I have tested and had no issues. The textures are indeed on the uploaded mod. Steam probably made a mess (happens), try deleting everything on the mod folder. Don't worry Steam always check your subscriptions when you launch the game, deleted/ missing modders will be re-installed automatically.

Usually is auto activated when you sub to it. Otherwise you need to go to "mods" in the game main menu, check the mod and then click on the reload game button. The game will then reload with mod enabled.
