If this isn't working then you have a mod that hasn't removed the general taisho from the unit land stats table.

Bulletproof means that muskets do not ignore unit's amour as they usually would. Bulletproof unit will be much less vulnerable to muskets

What bulletproof does exactly ? I see only 7 armor on unit info .

My share after experience:
1. You must subs from skill tree , trait , promiton , retainer to make sure it will work .
2. Warrios really makes the general very strong in battle, be careful with the enemy side, and now the light cavalry is no longer the opponent of the general warrios.
3. I think skill tree should have weapon switching when in 5 or 6 star champion, I have seen general warrios with light cavalry can be great but for yari cavalry it is still weaker. If a general is level 5 when the skill tree reaches "champion", it will unlock nagigata for the general. It will be stronger than the lower General and confidently confront yari cav

If it is that mod then you would need to delete the general line from that mod. Which is really easy to do.

Okay so I'm about 90% sure it's the ultimate immersive mod that's your problem. He's got it split in 2 parts, try to disable both and test it out.

I tested it out and they both work together. My stats only effect the vanilla katana generals. He has Kisho training on all his generals. You can tell if my mod is working by looking at your vs cavalry bonus on your general. If it's showing as 8 then it will have all the effects listed in this mod. His Naginata, bow and musket generals all have kisho training, fast climb walls and horse speed. He does not have on foot speed, both mass increases, melee ignores armor and bulletproof. So if you have generals without kisho training it's probably coming from another mod other than these two.

so after i change it to zFourstrider_bodyguard.it still above zzz_recruitable_generals i open the game a try to see if it work but it dont so change it to a_recruitable_generals now zFourstrider_bodyguard is below it but it still doesnt work

Go to your data folder. Program filesx86 > steam > steamapps > common > Total war Shogun 2 > Data

You'll see a .pack file named Fourstrider_bodyguard. Right click on it and rename it to zFourstrider_bodyguard.

When you launch steam it'll probably redownload so you'll have to uncheck the one withy the z in front of it. Good luck! Let me know if that works.

In the meantime you can try adding a z at the beginning of my bodyguard mod and it should overwrite that mods stats. As long as it's below that other mod on the mod list.

i just try ur mod but it dont really work on my starting general and general that i enlist they cant deploy outside the zone so im assume the other doesnt work too, but when i recruit general using the mod i mention below the general do have kisho training so it working for them but not the starting general and the one i enlist

I was going to separate them by clan. Like Chosokabe general's get bows and Otomo general's get muskets but decided against it because I like to use my generals as katana cavalry. The only way to have one faction with multiple types of general's is to make them recruitable from a building which changes the game too much for me. To get it like Rome 2 would require scripts, if possible at all. That is not something I'm able to do.

I may remove spotting distance after a playthrough to see how it effects gameplay.
