Will you be porting these to SSE?
DragonFire 18 Apr, 2016 @ 2:31pm
FYI. Last time I used this mod and had dragonsouls i couldnt do the dawnguard quest of getting turned into a vampire lord.
Whatsapp Ruby 10 Apr, 2016 @ 9:08am
you may want to find your mod's location in the skyrim files and make the second step for uninstalling delete that file.
Zangetsu 1 Feb, 2016 @ 2:50am
maybe im stupid but how do i get it to download after subscribing?
zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz 1 Nov, 2015 @ 8:44am
Does this have anything to do with my armor rating lowering every time i beat a dragon?
Reyda 9 Jul, 2015 @ 4:15pm
Wow, this mod seems way less recognized than it should be, but if anyone does ever look at this again, I downloaded the old version then imported it in to MO (Mod Organizer) it solves the problems Elianora talks about, and the load order doesnt change unless you change it (or until LOOT adds it in to their masterlist :P)
Blakeyrat  [author] 30 Oct, 2014 @ 10:40am
NMM (Nexus Mod Manager) and Steam Workshop are completely different things. They don't conflict with each other, AFAIK, so you can use both simultaneously.

If using the launcher that *ships with the game* screws up your load order, you are doing some serious ju-ju I do not understand.

In any case, I'm not putting this mod on Skyrim Nexus. As I said before, if you want to develop a similar mod to this one, you're completely welcome to it. Then you can post it where ever you like.
Xetaxheb 30 Oct, 2014 @ 12:34am
@Blakeyrat
Dragon soul relinquishment is the only mod I know of that does things like this, though you directly spend souls on stats.

The reason I won't use steam workshop is running the launcher fucks up my load orders and things. NMM is garbage and I will never use it, I don't know if it has workshop-download-functionality without the launcher but it doesn't matter.

I respect that you want to keep it on here exclusively but I won't be using it as such.
RexJayden 10 Oct, 2014 @ 8:55pm
Elianora brings up some good points. Shame this mod has to stay here only. Thanks for the response to our query Blakeyrat. :Antipho::Bucco::Dossenus:
Elianora 3 Oct, 2014 @ 2:57pm
I've always used this mod since it was out. It's not about NMM. Nexus site can be used fine without it. It's about Steam's bullshit "forced updates for mods, that can break people's save games", the lack of version control, and the freely running ripped and stolen content that Valve doesn't give a shit about.

I removed my mods from the Workshop and got raged at by dozens of people for "destroying their save games", because when I hid my mod, Steam disabled the mods from people's games and they didn't even notice, thanks to Steam's automation. And they had no clue how to backup and restore mods. Needless to say, anything they had stored inside my house mods, were gone.

So while I love and respect this mod, I have no love for the the platform it's offered on.

I'm quite happy using Nexus with filters on so I don't have to see the pervert content.
Blakeyrat  [author] 3 Oct, 2014 @ 11:51am
Sorry I didn't mean to seem grumpy. Honestly it hasn't been asked ever, as far as I can recall, until the last couple days.

Steam Workshop is compatble with the Nexus Mod Manager client, so I don't really see the point of uploading the mod to another site, where it'd sit beside "super naked elf chicks big boobs++". If you want to use it alongside Nexus mods, just... do that?
Elianora 3 Oct, 2014 @ 11:43am
You should mention it on the description so people like me don't constantly bother you about it ;) It's not easy going through 15 pages of comments just to see this addressed.

Sorry for being a pain in the ass. ;)
Blakeyrat  [author] 3 Oct, 2014 @ 9:44am
This mod is never going to be on the Nexus, please stop asking.

If you want to make your own version of the mod, which isn't difficult at all, you can upload it to whatever sites you want. IIRC, there's already a very similar mod on the Nexus from a few months back, I don't remember its name though.
Elianora 3 Oct, 2014 @ 3:58am
If you had this on Nexus, you could have the old one and the new one side by side.

If you don't want to go to Nexus, can I upload this there, because it's a wonderful mod but not many Nexus users even use the Workshop, and are missing out.
RexJayden 29 Sep, 2014 @ 12:27pm
Blakeyrat, any chance this mod can make its way over to the Nexus? :falkwreath::KneelingBow::riften:
Chihiro Cyrille 22 Sep, 2014 @ 2:42pm
after 40 souls you should get 75% resistance to Diseases and poisons
Greenish 11 Jul, 2014 @ 2:30pm
Many thanks for the nearly instantaneous response and fix.
Blakeyrat  [author] 11 Jul, 2014 @ 1:01pm
@Greenish: Ok, all fixed now. It was actually a bug in Creation Kit (natch!). When you use the "Package" command, the .bsa file doesn't go into the folder you browse to, but instead goes into the root Skyrim folder. That's why I ended up packaging the wrong .bsa.
Blakeyrat  [author] 11 Jul, 2014 @ 12:43pm
@Greenish: Yup, you're right sorry. The correct .esp ended up in the bundle, but the wrong .pex script file was included. I'll fix it and update the URL in a few minutes.
Blakeyrat  [author] 11 Jul, 2014 @ 12:37pm
@Greenish: Sorry, I might have screwed up the packaging. Let me actually spend a bit QAing it this time. :)
Greenish 11 Jul, 2014 @ 12:36pm
Not sure if I did something wrong but it seems like the version on Dropbox works the same as the one in the Workshop.
Blakeyrat  [author] 10 Jul, 2014 @ 6:10pm
Yeah, give me a little while and I'll put the old version on DropBox or somewhere.
Blakeyrat  [author] 10 Jul, 2014 @ 5:36pm
@Wasabi: I don't know what that mod does, so I can't answer.

What this mod looks for is dragon souls you've absorbed but not spend on unlocking Words of Power. Whatever that number is, that's what this mod looks at.
Executioner 19 May, 2014 @ 10:52am
how about adding a permanent night vision power after x amount of dragon souls absorbed?
rodbaker82 19 Apr, 2014 @ 9:29am
Only thing I would like is a readout of the cuurent stat boost as you absorb more souls. Other than that I love this and the speed mod.
Blckreaper 7 Apr, 2014 @ 5:40pm
perfect mod lol i love being op but all in all im not op with all the mods that enhanced gameplay it doesnt ruine the gameplay im happy i have this works well with over lord badnits with greta swords coming after you that 2 shots you/./playing on legendary difficulty have 800 health 1k magocka and 1234stamina and i still get one shoted lol... good mod
Blakeyrat  [author] 23 Mar, 2014 @ 5:02pm
@Mathball31: As far as I'm concerned, this mod is done. You're welcome to make your own mod based on the same idea.
Mathball31 23 Mar, 2014 @ 3:50pm
Can you make the improvement rates customizable? I like the concept, but I don't want it to be overpowered.
Blakeyrat  [author] 22 Mar, 2014 @ 9:45am
@athesentinal: I don't mind at all.
kurtrhinehart 22 Mar, 2014 @ 4:48am
This mod I love-apart fromt the excellent visual effects it also makes good sense that you draw both power and knowledge from the dragons you slay, but a cut off period also makes sense. Like Captain America-enhanced to the very peak of mortal capability.
I am thinking about writing a fanfiction story, hope you won't mind if I choose to work this effect into the story at some point?

Kurt Rhinehart.
Blakeyrat  [author] 22 Feb, 2014 @ 10:33am
@starknight1997: if you want the source code so you can modify it, just let me know.
Deltabob 22 Feb, 2014 @ 6:09am
While I like the health, magicka and stamina bonuses I would like a version without the damage bonus because even at high level it can be a little op.
Voidborn 17 Nov, 2013 @ 11:45am
Ohh np about the dmg, I think that it was bugging because of a mod for the vampire lord form. It seems like the damage stacks every time i go out of vampire lord form, so with just a necklace with +12% in one handed I got about 600 dmg with an iron sword with just a few souls. :)
Voidborn 17 Nov, 2013 @ 6:57am
Can you please make one without the damage? Otherwise from the OP dmg :D this is a really nice mod, thanks for creating it!
Elianora 13 Nov, 2013 @ 12:37pm
I thought this mod wasn't working anymore, but I had just maxed out my 50 dragon souls. Lol. It's my must-have mod for making dragon slaying worthwhile. Thanks for this!
Voidborn 28 Oct, 2013 @ 11:20am
Ok. Thanks anyway, This mod really ads a nice part of absorbing souls.
Blakeyrat  [author] 28 Oct, 2013 @ 10:17am
@Voidcube I believe it's only weapon damage. I'd have to dig into the source code to know for sure, and I'm at work right now.
Voidborn 27 Oct, 2013 @ 11:51pm
Does the attack damage affect every source of damage, including magic? And if so, does it affect the Equilibrium spell?
When I entered my world it seemed like I got a few stacks of the Dovakhiin power immedeatly, I think my carrying capacity raised by about 250. I got no problems with that :D Just wanted to tell you about it.
Blakeyrat  [author] 27 Oct, 2013 @ 6:07pm
@Takeru Kuniyoshi: No. If I had it to do over again, I could write the code to be more friendly to going over 50 souls, but as-is it's difficult to change. And in any case, the 50 souls power level is already pretty ridiculous.

You're welcome to make a new mod based on this idea if you want.
Kuniyoshi 27 Oct, 2013 @ 5:14pm
Is there an easy way to disable the 50 souls cap, so you can pretty much get infinite hp/mp etc..?
Voidborn 27 Oct, 2013 @ 1:52am
Okay thanks :) Here we go...
Blakeyrat  [author] 26 Oct, 2013 @ 6:45pm
@Voidcube: It should, but it'll skip directly to the number of dragon souls you have now (which means you won't see a progression, you'll just instantly see the benefits)

Like all mods, I can't guarantee anything. Make a backup of your save file before you give it a try. I've made every effort to make it as compatible as possible.
Voidborn 26 Oct, 2013 @ 5:32pm
This looks awesome, but will it work properly if I play with a character I'm like 50 on? Cause when I tried other mods I had to cheat through every quest cause they wouldn't update :(
DGreatGrandpa 11 Aug, 2013 @ 10:54am
sorry, wasnt trying to pick it apart. its way beyond me or anything i could every do, i was just curious. thankyou for at least replying
Blakeyrat  [author] 10 Aug, 2013 @ 11:16pm
@legendarydgreat: feel free to make your own version with whatever values you like.
DGreatGrandpa 10 Aug, 2013 @ 11:09pm
is there anyway to lower some of the affects? love the idea, but seems like it would get overpowered...
been looking for just this kind of thing, just a little curious though
Punchline 20 Jul, 2013 @ 10:12pm
A fantastic mod! Works fine for me with no issues. Loving the gradual power boost and that little extra something killing a dragon yields.
Parri 22 Jun, 2013 @ 8:34am
Thanks for the reply. Downloaded the mod and it's great!
Blakeyrat  [author] 21 Jun, 2013 @ 5:29pm
@Parrius: Video runs fine for me. It's 1080p 60 FPS, although God knows how YouTube recompresses it after you upload.

The effect looks different in first-person than it does in third-person, but that applies to pretty much every shader effect Skyrim has.
Parri 21 Jun, 2013 @ 3:19pm
The video seems to be a little bit choppy. The shader effect is the temporary red glow on the character, right? Because the flake things floating off the dragon and the fire on it seem a little different on my screen.
