If using the launcher that *ships with the game* screws up your load order, you are doing some serious ju-ju I do not understand.
In any case, I'm not putting this mod on Skyrim Nexus. As I said before, if you want to develop a similar mod to this one, you're completely welcome to it. Then you can post it where ever you like.
Dragon soul relinquishment is the only mod I know of that does things like this, though you directly spend souls on stats.
The reason I won't use steam workshop is running the launcher fucks up my load orders and things. NMM is garbage and I will never use it, I don't know if it has workshop-download-functionality without the launcher but it doesn't matter.
I respect that you want to keep it on here exclusively but I won't be using it as such.
I removed my mods from the Workshop and got raged at by dozens of people for "destroying their save games", because when I hid my mod, Steam disabled the mods from people's games and they didn't even notice, thanks to Steam's automation. And they had no clue how to backup and restore mods. Needless to say, anything they had stored inside my house mods, were gone.
So while I love and respect this mod, I have no love for the the platform it's offered on.
I'm quite happy using Nexus with filters on so I don't have to see the pervert content.
Steam Workshop is compatble with the Nexus Mod Manager client, so I don't really see the point of uploading the mod to another site, where it'd sit beside "super naked elf chicks big boobs++". If you want to use it alongside Nexus mods, just... do that?
Sorry for being a pain in the ass. ;)
If you want to make your own version of the mod, which isn't difficult at all, you can upload it to whatever sites you want. IIRC, there's already a very similar mod on the Nexus from a few months back, I don't remember its name though.
If you don't want to go to Nexus, can I upload this there, because it's a wonderful mod but not many Nexus users even use the Workshop, and are missing out.
What this mod looks for is dragon souls you've absorbed but not spend on unlocking Words of Power. Whatever that number is, that's what this mod looks at.
I am thinking about writing a fanfiction story, hope you won't mind if I choose to work this effect into the story at some point?
Kurt Rhinehart.
When I entered my world it seemed like I got a few stacks of the Dovakhiin power immedeatly, I think my carrying capacity raised by about 250. I got no problems with that :D Just wanted to tell you about it.
You're welcome to make a new mod based on this idea if you want.
Like all mods, I can't guarantee anything. Make a backup of your save file before you give it a try. I've made every effort to make it as compatible as possible.
been looking for just this kind of thing, just a little curious though
The effect looks different in first-person than it does in third-person, but that applies to pretty much every shader effect Skyrim has.
