Straight up just doesn't work. Ran the mod as the only mod I had active, and while it was 12 TPY there were no seasonal effects for any seasons.

Hello Necroburn, there's currently a recurring issue in the first year of the campaign & the first year of every decade in game. Once a new year comes the problem will fix itself.

@k22a1c Thank you for reporting this! I'm also aware of this issue, though I don't think there's anything I can do to fix it, based on my experience, this happens for the first year every decade, but the other 9 years is perfectly normal.

EDIT: it comes back on the 2nd turn but then it overlaps two turns at that point and the bonuses don't start until 1 turn before summer. It just goes from there.

I noticed that all the messages pop up and show the season including on the top right on the 2nd turn. Spring and summer overlap 1 turn but then it fixes it self t but nothing happens for winter. No message and nothing on the toolbar. It comes back on the 2nd turn of spring though. A bit strange. I tried looking at the files in Pack File Manager but I am not seeing anything that could cause it.

Ok, at the bottom's a ling to a mega folder containing a turn 2 save (right when the spring buff shows up for the player) and a zip file of the 2 mods you'll likely need to load it. I have 3 more but they are very minor and I checked to make sure none of them edit the same files/values. Hope it helps!

I hope it's reproducable and not just a quirk at my end =/ I can send you a save if you like, the issue though is that you'd need all the same mods in order to successfully load in given that there are non-vanilla units present.

Oh, it might be that the weather effects in battles do appear, I wasn't really paying attention to that. But the seasonal faction-wide buffs/debuffs definitely don't appear for them in my game. I was specifically watching for things such as town growth and unit replenishment that you can directly see as an enemy faction and they didn't change for them, while they did for me. Only after that did I go checking into the save data if the buffs actually were present and confirmed they werent. I'll keep playing to see if it sorts out after changing to a new year, I just don't like the idea of having this kind of advantage over them '^^. Might take a while, but I'll report back after another 12 turns are up.

Hmm, that's interesting, thank you for bringing this into my attention. As far as I know, this mod is compatible with all mods. And for my campaigns, the AI gets the same debuffs and buffs from the weather, I don't use saveparser but I check the province details, movement speed, and unit stats to make sure that it also applies to the AI. It shouldn't be a problem if you don't see it as a status effect, as long as you can actually see the effects being given to the AI it should be fine, since the way this mod works it's based on the TPY and season of the game.

I started a new game with this mod installed and while the event (and buff) do show up for me, they're not present for AI clans. Went through 2 season changes, checking their status each turn and none of them had it (used saveparser to check their CAMPAIGN_EFFECT_BUNDLES).
Not sure if it matters but I'm running expanded japan by uanime5 and Jaki's Unique Factions alongside this. Any idea what might be the cause?

Yes, the AI also receive the buffs and debuffs associated with the different seasons

Hello! Occasionally the seasons can get off sync when you have other mods enabled, but it'll fix itself after one in game year.

soooo when i start new campaign the mod did work for the first 3 season then it stop working when winter come and next year the effect also doesnt show up anymore, maybe because it confict with other mod?

OK, thanks for that. No, it doesn't really ruin anything, just aware of it, that's all. In fact, it is more in keeping with the real seasons rather than those set by the 12tpy mod, which are 2 months out of sync from reality. I'll just keep going, thanks.

@vivela12gb Yeah I also noticed that, there's really not much I can do, unless I make the first season of the game completely void of the seasonal effects (like in the FOTS DLC). This problem also reoccurs once every 10 years :P, hopefully it doesn't ruin the immersion too much!

I love the effects but it seems to slip out of sync with the game seasons. In my current game, spring didn't start until March one year but then summer started in May and the two seasons' icons were showing together at the top right. It's a little bit erratic at the moment but I will carry on as I love the idea of the mod.

Thanks for replying so quickly. Yes, I have the FOTS DLC. I don't think I have any other mods affecting events except the 12TPY mod. I'll have to check the others to see if there is a possible clash but most of the ones I use just affect the castles and forts. Mods load in alphabetical order in the mod manager so I'm not sure how to change the load order.

I think I know the issue, do you have the FOTS DLC? Because for this mod to work you need the FOTS DLC. Sorry, I forgot to add that as a requirement.

Thanks for attempting to fix this mod. However, there is still a problem. It now appears in the mod manager but when I enable it, the game asks for which version of DirectX I want, v9 or v11. Whichever I choose, the game will not open. When I disable the mod, the game starts OK. I really want this mod but, for me, it is still not working.
