@surbur The way this radar works is that it shows the targets in lime green. The same color as the map in it's regular setting. So the microcontroller shows the targets but you can't see it because it's the same color as the map. Either change the color in the LUA script or switch the modular map main module it's settings to normal map.

For some reason targets dont show up. The radar detects the targets but it still doesnt seem to draw them onto the map. Dunno if its me or the game or the MC.

Been long overdue:
Updated to module to work with advanced radars added in update v1.2.29.
Won't work with old radars (i.e. sonar) anymore.

Is there a version if this that can be used for the huge RADAR? Because it could be so useful for SAR and weapons like you can spot stuff 50KM away and dispatch a helicopter or drop a GPS guide weapon from far ranges. Anyways thank for this and let me know if there is one.

hey, this thing is absolutely fantastic but i have a question. on the screenshots for it, i noticed that there are multiple different radars that look like they are from multiple vehicles. does this mean that i can see the radar range of other vehicles as well as my own? again, thank you for uploading

The composite input on the controller is for data from the Modular Map Main Module. You'll have to "unpack" a signal from a huge Radar (the big disk) and use multiple different Radar modules.

Great MC thanks man - quick question, do you know is this is still working since the v1 release? Was working perfectly for me before, but since the v1 release the radar module doesnt work. Wondered if its just me or anyone else have this issue?

Is there anyway to increase the resolution of the map on a display so it's not quite so pixelated?

So do you want me to have a compass on the same cordinates as the radar? Spinning to make the radar detect when the point on the map is hovering over on top of it. How would you hook everything up?

You're supposed to use an actual radar.
Have you wired everything up correctly? Are GPS X and GPS Y correct? Is the module recieving it's composite signal from the main module? Is the main module wired correctly? Have you tried moving the map screen over the radar's position?

If you mean a decorative bar rotating to look like a bar-radar by "makeshift radar", then, depending on whether you are using a velocity pivot or a compact velocity pivot, use the velocity pivot's current rotation output divided by 2 as the radar yaw.
If you're using a compact velocity pivot, you can e.g. hide a (large) velocity pivot somewhere, have it rotate at the same speed and use it's ouput.
You could also e.g. use a ping-pong counter (divided by 2), but then the radar will change rotation directen when it reaches the rearward position. (And it won't be "parallel" to the decorative bar)
You can also use the up/down counter inside a microcontroller and have it count up and reset at 0.5 (e.g. with a greater-than gate) back to -0.5. (Also not "parallel".)
You could even mount a compass sensor to the decorative radar and subtract that from your ship's compass. That should also get you the value for radar yaw.

So what number should I give the radar If I want my radar to stay solid while my "makeshift radar" spins? Or is it just simpler to spin the radar + compass and not give the radar any yaw input?

The radar and the compass have to be on the same pivot.
You can get the radar yaw. The radar yaw is the value you input into the radar yaw input on the radar. There is no radar yaw output, but the radar yaw input is the same as the theoretical radar yaw output. You know that you can send the signal from a single output to multiple inputs, right?

You take the ship's compass bearing, with the compass fixed to the ship facing forward, subtract the radar yaw value (that you also send to the radar in order to turn it) from it and then input the result into the controller.
The radar yaw input on the radar itself is value between -0.5 and 0.5, where -0.5 turns the radar 180° to the left and 0.5 turns the radar 180° to the right.

Want to use the internal spin. radar yaw is an input if im right. Also tried using an spin block MC. This is ruined by the ship compass bearing. So the radar doesnt spin if the ship doesnt. But if I have the ship compass spin. Then still the object in front of the radar will be detected only.
