Mr.Nuke this mod seems a bit half-baked to say the least. my lg is also crying for the god emperor to put him in a dreadnaught already for how bad its issues has.

@CommanderShepard153 @RustyDios It doesn't appear to work with I’m the Commander Here Mod. At least it doesn't for me. Would be cool if it did but I get that this was posted quite some time ago.

having an issue related to this or another APA mod slowing my performance drastically. Between every move in tactical every thing slows down and the log reads as follows during the lock-up

Found an interesting finesse interaction. Having Relentless + Finesse, you get your relentless refund on kill if its your first attack, overriding the finesse refund. But if you melee first without kill, you get your finesse refund, 2nd melee is kill + relentless refund, then you can go in for a 3rd standard action.

@MrCloista and @RustyDios Hey, any idea if this or the Proficiency classes in general are compatible with “I’m the Commander Here?” Author of that mod never tested so he’s not sure, so just wondering if you guys knew before I booted the game up

Hmm.. I recently had a case of this exact same thing with the AML (in regards to Deadputs Militia Plus Mod, which had a dependency added and then removed ... AML still had the 'not needed' entry in its settings.json file)

If you are 100% certain you have all the dependencies and this is an AML glitch, I would start by checking that file :)

It will work for the classes listed in the first post of the discussion post that details what classes it affects.

It should work mid-campaign, but might only work for newly promoted soldiers, otherwise you may need to rebuild the soldier for it to take effect.

FYI: I have become aware that Shiremct has added a new perk to Marine's for a single reload of the sawedoff shotgun. I compared it with this plugin's implementation (using Bstar's perks) and decided it would be a nerf if I changed it to shire's new implementation, so this mod will remain unchanged for the forseeable future.

@123Nick @Krathemor @4rrakis Update: Sanity checked and Trimmed XComClassData.ini (courtesy of RustyDios) - the mod now doesn't touch any part of the class trees except the Random Ability Decks.

infact, this mod doesn't touch ANY of the soldier ranks, only thing it touches is the reward decks.

@krathemor that should only be happening if you have something else that unlocks the brigadier rank, this mod doesn't touch that.

I was having an issue where this mod was not overwriting the ClassData properly and was resulting in my soldiers having the 8th tier "Brigadier" rank which had copies of their squaddie rank perks. I've encountered that before when the ranks aren't formatted properly, so I just copy-pasted the RandomAbilityDecks portion into the main Proficiency Class mod. I'm not sure it's necessary to delete everything else and then replace it, just changing that seems to have worked for me.

@123nick I did not look at your .ini, but keep in mind that changes only effect future soldiers, not the ones that already are in your barracks.

Hey, im trying too change up the perks available too each class, by changing the ini file, but it isnt working- the classes remain as their default, unmodified from base proficiencies (or the base of what this mod does, i cant tell).

I don't play LWotC (I'm one of the testers for Covert Infiltration, so that's my stratgy mod of choice), so it's not planned, but if Proficiency Classes work with lwotc this should work with them.

Hey there! Love the mod. My only critique is perhaps that Finesse is extremely powerful on Assault Infantry and that maybe the ability point cost should be set to 25, like other high power AWC abilities. Since Proficiency classes sets its other AWC skills to cost either 10, 15, 20, or 25, maybe the new ones you've added should be adjusted accordingly? Just a thought. Either way, I greatly enjoy the mod!

At the moment it doesn't touch Templar. shiremct will eventually release a Templar Proficiency class, and when he does, I will add Templar to this mod so it has the same amount of TC perks (assuming he doesn't give them the same amount natively). I am also toying with releasing my own Templar rebalance that is designed to work with the Proficiency classes in the interim also.

Im pretty sure you can use a templar rebalance mod with this mod since proficiency class pack doesn't touch templar. So it should be automatically compatible im assuming.

It will be be a default part of the pack, but as it's all config edits anyway it would be easy to disable it by just commenting it out.

are all the proficiency mods mandatory? I do have all the current ones, but I am pretty happy with the templar mods I already have, so when proficiency class templar come out, I most likely would not want it.

I OPTC'd it in, yes. It doesn't show up until the sawedoff actually needs to reload though. Will update discussion.

Did you give Sawn Off Shotguns the ability to reload by themselves? Cause I dunno if the other abilities that give extra charges of "Reload Sawn Off" work without it. Also there was a little formatting error in the Tech Specialist's section. Love the mod though!
