this mod is basically just a config edit, nothing too fancy.

you might be interested in something like this one:

afaik, anything that makes it past that mod's exclusions still uses the vanilla config for explode chance, so the two should be fully compatible.

also if they could only explode from regular shots when the guns have the "missed shots do damage", so it would be like rather than killing the purifier, the xcom crew accidentally ignited the their combustible.

a new question i didnt ask before (i guess its also a suggestion to make the mod more interesting, or maybe turn it into another mod :P):

could changing settings in your mod allow making purifiers unable to explode, unless specific actions are used? ie to make them only explode with grenades or rockets, but never with shots from sharpshooters (unless they use special incendiary ammunition) , and stuff like that.

i dont know how to mod. I just wanted to share the idea.

explosions don't destroy corpses (unless you have that mod) and the purifier's explosion doesn't explode their own loot anyway.

in relation to the previous comment, would it be possible to freeze one with a grenade to get their corpse for research?

that's not available in config, would have to be changed OPTC. Boundir likely has a mod that can do that.

although, sectoids prolly do not have the appropriate animations for that, so it might look terrible.

Has always annoyed me that it is like a round roulette whether he explodes or not.

I have a quick question on another subject.
I am trying to change the category of the sectoid so that he counts as a humaoid and can be hit by Justige. Do you have any idea where I can find the entry?

Ah yes because I'm tired of them only exploding when I melee and never when I shoot during reveal. Seriously, if they're gonna explode make it consistent!
