Hey there, been using your mod for years, it's one of my favorites in the workshop! Just wanted to report that something may have broken recently. Whenever I start a new game, I get the following error:

Error in Script (Global):
chunk_0: (679, 11-67): Expected string argument to JSON.decode(), got HTML?

After the first round, the clean-up script breaks, the turn order gets messed up, and the game can't proceed. Is it something on my end? Thanks for looking into it!

Okay I removed those colors now.

Yea the script doesn't support teal, brown or rewinding

Pressing undo breaks the lobby and one has to reload form the start.
There are colors between the player zones which one can click but they break the lobby as well.

@Miss Valeria You can't see the cards shuffling around they just teleport, if you play with decks where the images have different aspect ratios, sometimes you can see what deck a specific card is from face down

Someone I play with can see the cards shuffling around before the reveal, I personally can't, how's this possible ?

Yea the steam api key is out of date, I replaced it with a new one but need to get cell to update the mod

Also the game announces multiple winners, while as far as I understand once someone reaches 30+ the person with most points wins, not all who have 30+.

I don't think it randomises picking the first player, it turns on turns and will give it to whichever player is at the top of the tabletop sim turn order which can be changed in options turns. I think by default it's white as the highest priority.

Like I'd honestly for now just spawn and roll a dice or something if you want it randomised then click on that players name and click pass turn to the respective player.

Amazing mod!
One question, how is the first player determined in the mod?
When we started playing I did the first story, and then it gave the turn to me, but I'm not sure what decided that.

If I ever have the time to work on this again I'll keep it in mind to have some way of seeing how many cards are left in the deck. It does make sense, the main reason the deck is hidden is to prevent people not using the buttons to draw the cards since that's the only way the script knows who owns what cards and thus can do the scoring. But adding a counter or something would be possible.

it'd be unrealistic to get through all the cards in one game, I didn't realise the original game had that in the rules but the tabletop versions have always had score counters that go up to 30. The mod shows a message when someone hits 30 declaring them the winner, though dosen't reset the scores in case people want to play on. It's simplest to just restart the mod to start a new game.

At one point I was thinking about adding more cards and having a way for people to select what specific decks they wanted to play with before the game actually starts, which would give a better idea of how many cards are in the deck.

The rules say you play until all the cards are gone but.. considering it has all the expansions, that takes a long while! And you can't see how many cards are left. Could we get a card counter? And maybe an option to set "play until someone gets X score"?
Love the mod though! We're having a blast!

Its the point icons and avatars, they overlap and get mixed up also. Next time I jump on with mates ill try redownload it and see if that fixes the issue. Sounds like its an issue on my end though, cheers for the replies.

When you say token images do you mean the numbered vote squares, or the star icon, or the player avatars? I've just now loaded it and got other people in the lobby turned of caching and it all seems to load and move fine as it did before. So it's hard to know why it dosen't work for you. Are you sure you're loading the workshop version and not just an old save?

Player token images are not showing up on the board. Also the storyteller card does not appear to the left of the cards during the scoring phase.

That is an error with steam, when we grab the profile pics for the score board. Nothing we can do about it, and it shouldn't break anything.

The scores are automatically tallied below where the players' images are. It's all scripted. Just follow the instructions on the right of the screen.

Great mod with a incredibly handy script! Maybe even better to pay than irl.
Only thing that could be better is the resolution of the cards. Is there a way to increase it myself?

hmm, that's strange. The buttons disappearing is a known bug in Tabletop Sim, for the host all scripts may stop working and all buttons disappear in all mods until the host restarts Tabletop. It's an annoying bug for the host. The deck disappearing seems weird since the deck is already not interactable and is hidden in the table from the start, so not sure what you mean here. Cards not loading in Tabletop again is a Tabletop issue with some people seeing blank cards until they reconnect. It may be because there are 800+ cards to load. Did you get any error messages when you were playing? If not then these issues are Tabletop Sim bugs.

Tried this with 8 players last night, was pretty buggy overall, we had various issues even after reloading multiple times. Buttons disappearing, the deck disappearing, and cards not having images. We ended up making it work without scripts.

Hi, I'm trying to use this mod but it gives me this error:

It appears when i press the Reveal button.

It took my party a while to figure out that 'reveal' shuffles the cards behind the scenes. We couldn't figure out how the Score button would work otherwise with the storyteller always putting their card in slot 1 (super obvious without the shuffle). Great mod once we got the hang of it! A small mention of Reveal shuffling the cards would make it perfect.

Okay, so like I just said, the update completely broke this mod and I think I know what has happened. There is a huge bug with intersecting scripting zones, causing scripts to break in those zones. I've submitted a bug report and we can all just hope they fix it ASAP! This is a very crucial bug to fix for sooooooo many scripted mods. Like I said, the quick fix is to enable the beta branch to play on the old version until a patch comes.

Hi everyone, this new tabletoip update has completely broken my mod..... I have no idea where to even begin. This update is a disaster to so many scripted mods. The temp fix is to enable to beta branch in steam to roll back your game to the previous version. But this is a temp fix.

hello! thanks to your game its awesome but there is a question
its worked perfect at first time i opened it but it can't be use at second time
it said :load image failed unsupported format:UNKNOWN supported formats: jpg png webm mp4 mov rawt unity3d
and then something go wrong when i press score button its said : Error in script(global)function<buttonscore>chunk_3:(511,37-76):attempt to index a nil value

and the only way to use it again is to delete all the Dixit(scriped)'s relative profile
if i do that its can be use perfect again but will crash in the second time i open it

to test it yourself just put a bunch of cards down in all the slots and click reveal to see that they shuffle

It has not worked for me yet, but so far I've only tried single player and 2-player to get familiar with the game/script. Maybe I've just had bad luck so far.

The reveal button should randomize the cards while it flips them over. Otherwise the cards are just in the same spot and everyone knows which one is the story teller's
