Hmm, right, I remember now that I had posted that my players were complaining about them not being crafted in inventory anymore. I'll check the SS Smithy.

Only the simple wood one is player inventory and its the only engram. "Signs craftable in Smithies, Replicators, Argents, Beavers and Thorny Dragons."

As for too many in area, see configs. Mod definitely works fine.

Something with these appears to have broken in my server. For some reason all signs disappeared from the engram menu, and the only one that is there, can't be placed because it claims there's too many in the area. I haven't played for about a year and boot up a fresh clean server with new install and all so. I dunno what's going on. All the settings are from my previously working server too.

@Axel-of-Atheara I add my stuff to the smithy and to the S+(and S+ variant mods) smithy. Anything more than this would require specifically adding into additions for every mod...not something Im willing to do.

Apparently, there is an incompatibility with Automated Ark. Only the basic wooden sign will show up in the smithicator. Any chance that you could fix this?

They all have scribbles. Should be 8 signs. See mod desc for spawn codes. 1 is craftable in player inventory, all are craftable in smithy/etc.

For some reason, I'm only seeing the one basic wooden sign. Do All of the signs have 'scribbles' in their name or just the one?

@Axel-of-Atheara What like, adobe signs or something? No. In all likelyhood, this is a finished mod. It shouldn't ever break and it's fully functional with all the options I could dream up lol.

THANK YOU for this mod! I always hated how signs were so unreadable, and this is a godsend. It is so nice to actually be able to see what my signs say now.

@Secho The simple wooden one is inventory crafted as well as being crafted along with all the others inside Smithies, Replicators, Argents, Beavers and Thorny Dragons...which apparently I forgot to add to the mod description.

Just wanted to check given the comments from April....

We have to craft this at a bench of some sort (S+/SS Station as an example) not from inventory but otherwise it's working... correct?

Friend of mine has some vision problems and we're looking for a way to have more readable fonts on the signs or storage boxes ^^;

I'm getting a few complaints in my server that the signs can no longer be crafted in inventory. I don't like it either myself. I would sometimes craft a sign when out at someone's base to place down for them to see later when they got on, if they weren't around, as it was simple to grab some materials from nearby trees and bushes. Can you bring back the wood products to the inventory?

I have to use whitelisting mode, so does any server that needs to blacklist more than 200 engrams. If you don't, you get engram page lag down to 0.5FPS. Unplayably bad lag. I had to use whitelist mode for years as a result as I needed to blacklist all base game structures that SS replaces. Wildcard has a lot of asinine things in the game that they flat out refuse to fix or do anything about at all.

S+,SS,N+,etc,etc, all get the signs added to sensible inventories.

Apparently whitelisting engrams totally breaks an otherwise very useful feature in the dev kit. Pretty sure I can still get around this shenanigans...

I can craft them just fine without engrams, they are simply added to appropriate crafting stations, including S+ ones I might add.

If the engrams are gone, no one can craft. They are gone. The server also deletes anything without engram or engram set to false, from all inventories. All of these disappeared from people's inventories across the map.

Don't need no stinkin engrams, just a smithy or a replicator or a few of the crafting saddle dinos.

The smaller two wooden signs, apparently, have their text behind the sign, where as all the others do not. I'll fix it when I get a minute, until then invis the sign and win!

In fact, all signs inside storages across the map have disappeared, indicating that the server no longer knows the engrams for signs.

Hmm, the signs I have placed that are set to Visible, seem glitched with Push, the text no longer can appear in front of the sign, only inside it. When I make it invisible though, the text begins to move. Is it a case of needing to simply re-place the sign?

Wait, all the engrams disappeared, I can't craft these anymore. Did you change their engram paths or something?

As for the text, nope, still an issue after I spawned a new one.

Sure you can move the sign, but you can't preview the sign at its current size and its current font size and the current text which is always centered no matter what, at the new location till you copy paste the text in and move it a few dozen times redoing each setting over and over till you finally get it in the spot you want. x3

Which reminds me. Any chance of some font alignment settings? Left, Right, Center, Top, Bottom, Center? Where it defaults to center/center.

Pushing the text back, that's a thing I'll do...I actually meant to do it before but forgot to add it to my todo list. All the manual adjustment stuff, no go. It'll just be too fiddly when you could just move the sign.

Yea, I did the invisible thing, I just wish it didn't appear to float so far from the wall.

Any way for you to code in a flatter thing for it to make the text appear closer to the wall when the sign is invisible?

Maybe add some kind of text adjustment so people can add or subtract to the text distance from sign, where negative makes it closer (possibly behind) and positive makes it pop out further? Even more interesting of the text location screen had the other axis too. Up and down, left and right, so you can offset the text in any direction.

I have 0 interest in fiddling around with blender to make new models or mash in materials to make them not look awful. Also, at the current max size sign/font, text is over 1 wall high, bigger depending on the font you use. Also, you can turn the sign invisible, which can help making it look nicer for a wall of text.

Any chance of a wall billboard? A wall sign as big as a billboard that is. I think it'd look nicer without having legs, to put up against a wall for large amounts of information.

I tried making the wall sign max size and smallest font size but its, kinda ugly like that.

If the config for the signs is set at 0, then it'll register? Or is it like that even without adding the config? I did notice that signs no longer give a notice when being placed down, but when I put down taxidermy stands, the signs still count towards the total. I tried picking up and replacing a few of the signs to see if only new structures didn't count, but it turned out to not matter.

Would it be possible to make it so that these signs don't do the "x signs in area out of 150" thing? I'm building an adoption center for superbred dinos and I'm very quickly realizing that my limit is coming up soon. I love these signs the most and wouldn't want to give them up, the text is so nice and legible and that's very important for me!

@isogamer Would appreciate it if you just send them a message explaining that some mods are getting ridiculous numbers when installed via their system. It's a bug with mod numbers greater than 2147483647. If not, this same thing will happen with all mods created after about April or so. Cheers.

Oh absolutely, we are renting our server from Streamline Servers and your mod was installed through their Steam Workshop function found on the control panel. I then navigated to the mod folder using their File Manager and renamed this mod file and folder. Hope that helps.
