Hey man! Can confirm it's the way those metal textures behave in low light, but nothing actually changes. I wish that could be done!
nock 23 Jan, 2018 @ 1:28am
So you need to put me out of my misery on this one. We were talking about it in the comments on the video. At the end, when the light flickers, it looks like the textures all change to make it look like there we're in a cave or something. Is it just my eyes deceiving me or is there something being changed there? . For me, a pretty straight forward puzzle. Thanks for making, loving the series so far

Figured out the numbers at the end. Good map!
srs bsnss  [author] 21 Mar, 2017 @ 6:55am
Hm, thanks for the tip! I'm pretty sure I added safeguards in case you get stuck on that, though
Koitenshin 19 Mar, 2017 @ 9:29am
You can apparently trap yourself if you make a portal on the wrong wall after the funnel is activated.
Petutski 26 Jan, 2017 @ 7:40pm
Nice fun map. Thanks!
srs bsnss  [author] 11 Nov, 2015 @ 9:17pm
Hm, that's weird. I can see why you were confused. The end is triggered when you enter the room and GLaDOS is finished talking. Something probably went wrong with the dialogue.
Saya 9 Nov, 2015 @ 10:03pm
Just so you know, there was no indicator that it was the end for me. Don't know why.
srs bsnss  [author] 5 Nov, 2015 @ 6:13am
That's not a bug - that's the end of the level. The dialogue box should pop up at that point, and the next level starts in that location. Glad you enjoyed the puzzle!
Saya 4 Nov, 2015 @ 12:42pm
Bugged. Final door with green push bar won't open, so I'm stuck in a short corridor between two closed doors with green push bars. Nice puzzle, though.

muy buen trabajo,gracias

as usual with series very clever and interesting logical puzzles.
Thanks for good time I've spent on your map !

Nice work. Great game.
dire.fcs 4 Feb, 2015 @ 11:30am
Great set of maps (Inquisition); this last one I liked the trap for that near-like ninja jump using only the bridge to get out (really funny).
Broskii 20 Dec, 2014 @ 10:22pm
For me the evaluation didn't show!

@dmuk
I did the same thing, thinking it was intended! The funny thing is that the way srs did the trigger is that activating the funnel turns off that anti-cheating safeguard. In other words, you can activate the funnel with the cube and then use the cheating solution, and glados won't stop you... But it's pretty much pointless.
Very fun to solve the test.
BUG 26 Jul, 2014 @ 8:22pm
Nice puzzle.Thanks for your work.

You can't handle the "Truth"!
David 3 May, 2014 @ 5:33am
A really well-crafted map! It's rewarding to peel apart the puzzle and gradually understand what's expected of the player. I thought it was very clever that you made the player
reuse their portals for different purposes, like switching from the light bridge to the funnel
. Each part of the puzzle rewarded careful thought; if like me you rush in brashly without thinking too much you earn yourself some backtracking as punishment.

I also liked the glowing button bases very much.
The Sojourner 17 Mar, 2014 @ 4:30am
Still looking good (by that of course I mean both the art and puzzles). Onto part 4...
dmuk 17 Feb, 2014 @ 6:55pm
YES, I was going to blatantly cheat! Now I actually have to figure it out?
Sunroses 15 Feb, 2014 @ 9:31am
I am loving this series so far. The maps are tricky but not too difficult; probably the perfect level for me!
2 Feb, 2014 @ 10:36pm
OMG I WAS WRONG! The decoded beeps in part 2 with the radio matches with the 2nd screenshot.
wildgoosespeeder 31 Jan, 2014 @ 11:55am
So that's what you did to prevent my cheating solution...

Originally before public release I beta tested this chamber. Using only the light bridge, I was able to solve it. You can still attempt it but something different happens...
Mitch McWiggins 27 Jan, 2014 @ 8:23pm
Great, thanks!
srs bsnss  [author] 25 Jan, 2014 @ 2:49am
As the popularity of these maps starts to wind down, I'd like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who played this map, and any others in the pack. I certainly achieved everything I wanted to achieve with these maps, and that's because of the players. So thank you! :D

Version 2 of the map is now up!

This updates fixes any potential cube dropper bugs, and employs more intuitive and helpful anti-cheat mechanisms.
Mr Fraggle (UK) 22 Jan, 2014 @ 7:05am
managed and ebjoyed that one. Well done.

Enjoyed that.

Also, you'd be surprised to learn that in my first comment I DIDN'T use the ceiling panel at all. I exploited the effect one gets when peaking through a portal to open a portal in a new spot, effectively forcing my player model through the grating. I know, I know, it's an exploit, but it's not a bug, it's just the way the game behaves.
In my 2nd comment I used the ceiling and good timing. I love the Inquisition series, so it's important to me that they play inuitively. One could argue that if players resort to finding alternative solutions, the intended solution was obfuscated by the test chamber design and its elements.
I can't think of a solution to the problem though since I honestly couldn't find the inended solution for the test chamber.
josepezdj 20 Jan, 2014 @ 12:10pm
Man, what a series of GOOD puzzles! This mappack is memorable! Thanks for working on this mappack for such a long time and finally release it! ;)

The Inquisition: Part Three. Reaching OPEN exit door after activating excursion funnel, but then using bypass from previous screenshot. I didn't use the excursion funnel for anything but to carry the redirection cube onto the super button.
I'm not sure if this is the intended solution, but if it is, it's bad design to not link dots from the active excursion funnel to the door to show that it's a requisite for an orange check box.
Stuntmanmyke 20 Jan, 2014 @ 10:55am
Nice chambers, good job !
srs bsnss  [author] 20 Jan, 2014 @ 9:14am
@Captain McPants That is true, it's counter-intuitive that the door doesn't open when the player walks up to it after solving it, unintended or not. However, it was the only thing I could do to to prevent skipping the chamber. I didn't want to link anything to it so as not to make it obvious what needs to be done, and sadly I can't put grating on the roof, which I imagine you used in that solution. I might add some dialogue to indicate that the chamber hasn't been solved correctly

@Andros Do you mean in the BTS hallway, the PTI vote screen didn't appear? Or the exit door didn't open? If it's the latter, see above. If it's the former, I'll check the logic to see if I've made a bad connection.

Found a flaw: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=218887589
Throughout the official portal test chambers we are taught to get to the exit door in whatever way is easiest after we've made sure all the blue X's around the door turn orange and get tick.
In this test chamber, I understand that by bypassing many of the test elements I have not met at least one of the criteria necessary for the door to be able to open, but since it has no checkboxes, I should be free to assume it will open once I stand in front of it.
Andros 20 Jan, 2014 @ 4:36am
got completely stuck at the end, didn't advance to the next level... what's with that?
ZAEROS 20 Jan, 2014 @ 2:43am
Enjoyed more than previous map, maybe because its easier? Enjoyed a lot but mighrt be worth a "Flashing Lights Warning" for end part?
srs bsnss  [author] 19 Jan, 2014 @ 8:28pm
@iGamr Hm, I think I might do that. The door not opening is an intended move to discourage cheating, by the way.
piotr_mil 19 Jan, 2014 @ 8:18pm
Also, nice code by the end.
piotr_mil 19 Jan, 2014 @ 8:10pm
Good map! Better than previous one, not very diffuclt.
Iggy 19 Jan, 2014 @ 12:20pm
Clever... I was able to cheat my way through the door with the light bridge alone, but it didn't cause the door to open. It DID still play the GLaDOS dialogue, though. Perhaps it could be changed so GLaDOS says something negative about you cheating if you try to ninja it?
selr 19 Jan, 2014 @ 9:46am
Hi! I like this map!) there is a litle bug with top net.
by step: 1. do blu portal to laser road, yellow to other wall, go on laser road through yellow portal. 2. stay on laser road, do yellow portal in top white wall with net. go through blu portal, see the net. do blu portal in ceiling. after tht, sometimes, you go through the net and can make blu portal to laser road.
Sorry for my bad english)
