Cant you make teas as a drug so colonist wouldn't have to eat it as a food resource ?
<optimalityOffsetHumanlikes>-5</optimalityOffsetHumanlikes>
I don't understand what that -5 represents in any calculation but have seen some mods use this or mention it in their updates to make some edible options more or less appealing to pawns using this by adding or subtracting from this. If it works how it sounds like it works, it would mean that your pawns would need to be manually directed to drink tea unless there were no better "meals" around and then they would go for tea as it's the only best one left.
Alternatively it may be possible to use some of the Wine drug stuff from VFE:Medieval to try and work out how to convert tea into a social drug. From reading around it, unless the drug does anything new might be able to get away with little to no C#. Don't hold me to that mind...
Looking at the XML, and I am somewhat stumbling through, it looks like it counts as a meal, preferability as "Simple". I'm guessing when it comes to two meals of near same proximity the pathing is picking the most expensive permitted by food policy and thinking it's best for the pawn to grab, even though it has very little nutrition in it. It's got to be preferring it somehow...
Could probably try and change the nutrition value so one cup really does do the job which would reduce how many they get through?
To be clear. My pawns continue to drink Tea at full mood and full recreation..
Done. Your cook can rest easy.
Have a great day!
My colonists are completely addicted to Yorkshire Tea. So much so that I come with a request from my desperate cook -- is there any way to make a bulk recipe? My colony is larger than it should be, and the poor woman spends the whole day brewing tea...
