@zawarudo - hauling i think
what job does this fall under? i want my colonists to do it first. also it would be great to add it on order tab too. clicking on individual corpses is quite the hassle.

@unclemestor That sound like a good way to loot rimcities

Just wanted to mention a weird compatibility issue with Research Reinvented, a mod that has a researcher grab items and bring them to a research bench for study. If a creature marked for burial is studied, left on the research bench, and then buried while still on the bench , it destroys the bench. Or at least, I'm almost certain that's what happened, as there was no attack, my bench was gone and there was a grave where the bench was. Making an assumption, but I'd assume a similar issue could happen with a shelf, or a table if someone is eating a body to be buried?

Not sure if possible due to how the graves work, but it would be nice if burying didn't destroy the item its on.

Yay, thank you so much for the update! Missed this one a lot. So many graves.
阿尤恩 1 May, 2024 @ 6:01pm
@Hultis thanks a lot
sumikanest 29 Apr, 2024 @ 5:40pm
Now you can make the desert green even in 1.5! ! thank you for your hard work!
Hultis  [author] 29 Apr, 2024 @ 10:05am
I fixed it for 1.5, really just needed to update and rebuild.
阿尤恩 18 Apr, 2024 @ 12:51am
it doesn't work anymore
Ms. Leaf the III 15 Apr, 2024 @ 11:20pm
please update
Glyan 15 Apr, 2024 @ 8:56am
Need 1.5
Mr McNificent 28 Mar, 2024 @ 10:15pm
Using this with Soil Reclamation Framework is fantastic.

Dig up your old burial zones to place rich soil elsewhere :D
sumikanest 26 Mar, 2024 @ 7:25pm
I've been using it since I started playing. I'm waiting for the day when ver1.5 can create green land in the desert.
EfeTheCaptain 14 Jan, 2024 @ 8:40am
Is there a way to edit the 15-day to disappear ?
britnatural 25 Apr, 2023 @ 6:59am
Great mod, indispensable... is there a way to make it bury other things like weapons
Vartarhoz 14 Apr, 2023 @ 1:55am
There should be a way to don't let bury people in same spot. Right now you can bury people after people without any problem. I made 1x1 spot to carry corpse and bury. Since spot basically means nothing.
VolatileGlitchAviator 28 Mar, 2023 @ 9:08pm
Does this mod take into account terrain?
BigBrush 25 Feb, 2023 @ 11:13pm
Need modification of hole-disappear days, 15 days is too long!
Pasiego 21 Jan, 2023 @ 9:03am
This is simple but amazing!

Thank you for the update!!

Updates can be a bit slow at times, try unsubscribing and subscribing again and it should download the new version
J03L 26 Oct, 2022 @ 1:59pm
thanks for the update, great mod! I just updated it for 1.4, though, and it doesn't register as being for the current version inside the game engine, only in the workshop.
DickHardly 26 Oct, 2022 @ 9:02am
Thanks buddy

✓ 1.4
EfeTheCaptain 25 Oct, 2022 @ 9:06pm
We need this mod for 1.4 especially now, we have rot stink
Hultis  [author] 25 Oct, 2022 @ 1:21am
Not yet, but I'll port it
Renix 24 Oct, 2022 @ 10:02pm
Does this work on 1.4?
泰拉博士不太拉 21 Oct, 2022 @ 12:35pm
Want 1.4
azairvine 2 Sep, 2022 @ 6:41pm
@Riccars mod exists....
Riccars 30 Jul, 2022 @ 4:28pm
It would be sick if we had a "bury alive" option for downed pawns, effectively killing them and burying the body in one action. If the bury order carried over if they died on their own would be handy too.
CTH2004 28 Jun, 2022 @ 8:39am
here's an idea. The ability to un-bury them. It slow's rotting for the first 7 days, then accelerates it so that it rots 7 days worth in 3 days, and faster from there after 7. If you un-bury them, you can then ressurect them! So, why might you bury them?

1. You don't yet have a corpse freezer (A freezer for corpses only. I have them so I can ressurect corpses later) up, but will soon. So, slow the rotting!
2. You get resurecter serum soon after
3. Why not!
4. you just got a cannibal, and want to poision him!
VoshkaVonBadMeow 21 May, 2022 @ 5:22am
@Hultis I just today found this mod and boy oh boy is it a game changer!

I just have one request, can it become a draggable order? Like mining, Hauling, etc?

Instead of selecting all the corpses which for me hits the selection limit quite quickly (forcing me to move screen to hide bodies i've already ordered burial of) I could use the tool to drag over the battlefield?
MysticFelines 24 Mar, 2022 @ 11:41pm
Can you make the burial hole compatible with the funeral ritual?
Hultis  [author] 17 Aug, 2021 @ 1:06am
123nick: Filth would be cleaned. Terrain might be possible but then it could probably easily be removed which would affect balance. It's a nice idea, decorating the battlefield like that.

qwertyww: it's probably on my end. AFAIK you can't have multiple buildings on the same tile and since the holes are buildings they will wipe previous buildings. This has worked because you can't really have corpses on top of buildings, except in the case of Quarry. I can't think of a simple fix so I'm afraid I'll have to leave it.
123nick 13 Aug, 2021 @ 12:54am
is it possible too have a option for no holes too appear? or atleast, have holes be something else instead of an actual building or thing? like, say, a filth object ingame?
QWERTYww 6 Aug, 2021 @ 5:32pm
Really weird bug, but it turns out that if you have a quarry from the quarry mod, burying something on top of it and then saving & reloading will delete whatever was below the buried thing. Not sure if it's on this end or theirs, so let me know if it's theirs so I can leave them a comment too.
Emilie Sackenball 21 Jun, 2021 @ 2:27pm
@HanktheTank I believe you could dig out again the bodies in a older version? it happened to me like 2 times I mistakenly bury a pawn I was going to save his genome with the Questionable Ethics mod
Hultis  [author] 20 Jun, 2021 @ 2:39pm
I agree, so I've added something at least a bit better. The change also means that existing holes may be in a weird direction, but new holes will be fine.

I also tested the french translation but it was missing a bunch of text and those texts looked really weird so I didn't upload that.
eerynthril 18 Jun, 2021 @ 7:04pm
the only thing i wish for this mod is a cuter mound of dirt as graphics but this is the best mod for cleaning up the dead.
qux 4 May, 2021 @ 9:15am
HanktheTank 6 Apr, 2021 @ 6:14am
I think it would be nice to add an option to unbury a body. I accidentally buried a colonist that I wanted to put in a sarcophagus and can't dig her back up.
Inked. 3 Jan, 2021 @ 8:18am
Is there any way to implement settings so we can change how long the hole takes to disappear?
Hultis  [author] 9 Nov, 2020 @ 2:33pm
Yeah, I've thought about that as well. I like the idea of more dynamic soil quality but I feel there are enough mods covering it already, so I left the implementation in this mod very simple. Less conflicts that way too. But I'll look into burial zones which could also prioritize where they are buried to optimize soil improvement.
Othobrithol 9 Nov, 2020 @ 12:47pm
Agreed. As it is right now I end up making a lot of 2x1 corpse only stockpiles and work the micro. A designated zone or "bury here" mechanic would rock. I also though that maybe an improvement would be sort of like a moisture pump mechanic where higher quality soil would sort of spread out over time if an area has repeated burials.
Feather 9 Oct, 2020 @ 4:11pm
This mod would be perfect if I'd be able to choose they burial spot, like I'm able to choose where I want to install/reinstall a chair or sth.
gameofsultan 4 Oct, 2020 @ 6:12am
Ok, makes sense. Thank you for the awesome mod!
