this cookbook is WAY more complete than the game's one: it includes individual ingredients and their respective statuses, cooked foods AND THEIR RESTRICTIONS

BTW Mr. Benzoquinone, looove this mode, but can i make 3 recomendations?

(1) can u make that one can close the book by just pressing ESC?
(2) can u block the zoom-in/zoom-out of the user reading your cookbook while we're scrolling the book reciepes? is a little annoying using the mouse to scroll trough the recipes wheel and the character's zooms in-out in the background
(3)can you make that when reading your cookbook mod, the game PAUSES? (if one has in the general game options activated, the option that PAUSES whenlooking recipes: like the original cookbook, gardener hat, or the Map? im used to the game pausing when i read the game's cookbook, so it would be neat tyty, and dont be discouraged

Hiya. :) I'd like this mod because the normal cookbook crashes with the Waiter 101 mod, but with this mod enabled, the server doesn't want to start.

я хочу предложить улучшение для этой книги и оно заключаеся в следующем когда ты берешь книгу в руки ты читаешь ее и твоя скорость падает до 60% и когда ты у казана ты кладешь игридиенты ты видишь что готовишь но при условии что ты уже это готовил

i really did not read about the sanity loss, but I couldn't find where to change this in the mod config

People not reading the description seems like blunt stupidity more than just ignorance. I will never understand how people think that a small stat change is a "bug," as if magically you now lose 15 sanity, It's simple cause and effect, common sense if you will.

I guess most people don't have that.

It pays to read the description. For everyone experiencing the -15 sanity "bug", its called food type preference. Characters have food types they like and don't like. Eating foods from the food group they don't like reduces sanity.

for some people (like benzo) kley alows the moders to modifie the game to his preferences even add a lot of things BUT all the content and mods still are property of kley entertainment bi the agrees of conditions of use, if kley wants to add a mod from the library to the base game they can and dont need even permision from the moder/s because is a code made whit his code it never existed something like property from moders only all mods are for kley whit credits to the creators

it causes bug many eatables(ex.carrot,cooked green mushrooms,butterflies) to have -15 sanity

don't remember saying it crashes, but i did, my main point was to keep it i guess

@ Ralsei, sorry about that, I just assumed when you said "it crashes when you try using it now" you meant my mod. Though, it is hard for me to think klei's cookbook was crashing.

@ Ralsei and boppx, I need more context to fix the crash? @ Shae Rouge, the assets are all from klei's gorge event or the base game, with maybe some slight edits. I will make more clear in the mod description.

I'd really like to know if Klei just copied this mod without permission. Seems like plagiarism, to me. Even the cookbook art and tabs are the same. Hmm...

keep this mod, even though klei added a cookbook to the game, this one is far greater atm, also it crashes when you try using it now

The official version only remembers the last 6 recipes though, I think. That would make this one better for vanilla users.

does klei "copy" this? because they looks same

I totally didn't expect this implementation in the Quality of Life update. You predicted one of the implementations. Thank you so much for creating this mod!

I discovered how use the book u need to put in the ground like works with maxel and u can read normaly.

@ blazebomber22, that is correct. @ Warly Depressivo and shorapal, I will see about making it useable from the inventory.

You need to drop it on the ground and right click it to open it.

How open the recipe book ? if i click the caracther just say "A recipe book" but nothing happens.

Does it show you the recipes and if so how exactly does it do it? All that's happened so far is that I made it and it just sits in my inventory but I don't know how to use it

@ Imhotep, I will look into mod compatibility but not promises. @ Jay, no plans to introduce more recipes in this mod. @ Greenpakto, maybe but might be sometime before I look into that. I will look into how big the recipescroll is though. And I like random order but I might order it by amount of hunger the recipes restore (alphabetical doesn't work for all languages and it still rather random anyways and some prefabs do not map nicely to their names in the games). @ Jesus2k and Ślepy, please read the mod description for more details but long story short, you can turn off that feature (or let me know if that option isn't working).

Yeeaa, i have plenty of mods, still i have seen that something like @JESUS2K said, i lose 15 sanity while eating nearly any vege, ( lightbulbs etc.). Yes i have caves in my world.
