I have returned, and after talking with Romen we decided the development of this mod to be permanently given to him. He has better ideas and more motivation to work on this mod, and I trust him as a great developer, this mod is in good hands now.

I'm dropping maintanence for this mod, thank you everyone who subscribed. <3

@Swoop I can't re-upload other people's mods without permission. Skyrunner is still actively modding and I think they already updated that mod anyways.

hey romen any chances that you put time on the diseases mod of skyrunner if I remember right he did give his permission in the comment of the mod
that would be incredible but of course if you don't have time or are not interested no prob at all.
It's no easy task either I think at least for me.. i decompiled it to check it out it is object-oriented code I think its called I'm not at this chapter of code learning hehe

The author of the mod has given me permission to fix it and upload it to the workshop. Everyone waiting for an update can use this new version until Aki returns.

Unfortunately that works very rarely.

Mod Updater is out of date right now. For everyone else who's game still crashes i suggest you to delete the Plastic Door mod folder and let Steam redownload it on startup. That just worked fine for me.

I don't know if this is intended or not but it seems like critters can pass through this door. In my slickster ranch I have occasionally seen slicksters moving around in places they shouldn't be (i.e. on the other side of plastic door on 'auto' mode). I think it's happening when a dupe passes through the door. It seems like there's a brief window when a critter also can pass through simultaneously with the dupe.

All bugs reported below should be fixed in version 1.3 as of today
Please make sure you have the latest version if you experience crashes or bugs still (Mod Updater is super useful to force updates)

no, it would be very overpowered. it took lots of effort to make it work this way.
You can use visco-gel, or Airlock mod by Stephen .

yes, it works identical to a regular door: when a duplicant passes through the door will open for a short time, and let gases through.

This door can not isolate the gas, similar to the ordinary mechanical door, when there is a pressure difference between the two sides of the door, the villain will exchange gas

i think i found something
i paused the game and while paused i changed the door setting to locked, but before resume i changed mind and put it back to auto.... but still it has the icon of a switch, meaning some dupe need to activate it
i feel strange and selected [auto] multiple times then [open] and [lock] but the icon still there so i tried resume to see what happens, some dupe come to the door and smashed the button like crazy until it disapear... i think it was for every click i did on those settings buttons
nothing to game brake but it was funny

Seems i found another bug... Do the following: Build a plastic door. Deconstruct it. Place a wall instead. Dupes can pass trough, as if the door is still there. Blocks everything else though. Holds until save and load. After load it becomes a solid wall.

i feel like if you need to insulate stuff you are already using a double liquid lock because you need to keep the gasses from moving around at all.

either way, would it be possible to make an instant door that lets gasses through?

since the doors' main use isnt to block gasses, could you make it so the doors allow gasses to pass when not in use?
