YouKnowNotMyName 8 Sep, 2014 @ 6:04pm
rsc made the cab forward pack a full 30 years before the first videogame console?
09trainfan  [author] 19 Aug, 2014 @ 1:00pm
Oh, the Cab Forwards go way back, but this one was built in the 1940s
YouKnowNotMyName 18 Aug, 2014 @ 11:09pm
no, i mean the engine looks like its from the N64 era, while the engine i currently own and use looks more like something worth my time.
09trainfan  [author] 1 Aug, 2014 @ 1:39pm
I think I might know what you mean, this is the unweathered Cab Forward.
YouKnowNotMyName 31 Jul, 2014 @ 11:39pm
by the way, the graphics look different, is this the updated version? or the original?
09trainfan  [author] 31 Jul, 2014 @ 10:39am
You're welcome!
YouKnowNotMyName 30 Jul, 2014 @ 7:28pm
can i change it to another number?
like 666 as the engine and 1337 as the tender?
lol jk, thanks bro!
09trainfan  [author] 30 Jul, 2014 @ 11:05am
Yeah, I didn't mind the talk, and how to change the number: double click on the tender, then you will see a tab on the right side of the screen, then you should see the number of the tender if you move your mouse to the tab, then you can change it to the number that matches the locomotive

4 pages of random trivia about important western engines, i love it!
YouKnowNotMyName 30 Jul, 2014 @ 3:41am
how did you set the train's number? its been bugging me since i got the cab forward pack that the tender has a different number than the engine.

Won't happen right away though once 4014's up and running. Following the rebuild of 4014, 3985 will then be next on the 'overhaul to-do list', as 3985's firebox got damaged from use of an experimental burner and it was getting awfully close to her 1472 FRA inspection requirements anyway. The rebuild of 4014 will permit the Steam Crew to like try evolutionary improvements to reliability that can then likely be applied to 3985 so both locos can spend more time out on tracks hauling excursion passengers occasional full-revenue freight runs and less time in the Cheyenne shop.

Yeah.
NoahBlueRidge 18 Jun, 2014 @ 10:15am
Hopefully, following the restoration of 4014, UP may decide to fix up 4294 for Donner Pass operations, and also as a means of further developing their skill in scratch fabricating parts for these steamers.
