Aight xD yeah i've seen that the AI isnt that great at playing mods :p
Rocket Popsicle  [author] 27 Nov, 2020 @ 6:00am
Nope, you can definitely run with AI, and they will play along, but not very well xD
Chipsness 27 Nov, 2020 @ 5:59am
@Rocket Popsicle i will let my friend know that there is a new mode we can try! Do we need to have 3 players to play it?
Rocket Popsicle  [author] 27 Nov, 2020 @ 5:51am
@Chipsness If you get a chance, I just released a new mod called Thrall Ball that I would love some feedback on as well!
Chipsness 27 Nov, 2020 @ 5:50am
Huh that really sounds weird, i wonder what is up with it since i can load in to it with singleplayer so it could just be a problem in our end :o We need to try it again at some point!
Rocket Popsicle  [author] 27 Nov, 2020 @ 5:31am
@Chipsness Unfortunately, I'm having no issues loading the game up, even in multiplayer. :(
Chipsness 25 Nov, 2020 @ 2:37pm
@Rocket Popsicle i was finally able to get my friend to play with me, but the game seems to crash after the loading screen when we try to start the mod and we both tried to start the game and same happened.
Chipsness 20 Nov, 2020 @ 12:17pm
Ooh, i will let you know when i get my friend try it! :B1:
Rocket Popsicle  [author] 20 Nov, 2020 @ 11:21am
@Chipsness Everything should be set and working as intended! Please let me know otherwise.
Chipsness 16 Nov, 2020 @ 4:25am
Aight! Sounds good :B1: Can't wait to try it out with my mate then! :D:
Rocket Popsicle  [author] 15 Nov, 2020 @ 3:50pm
Hey Chipsness, I recently made some changes that used recommended functions within the script that may be bugged. I'm working on getting everything to work for both plays and then you should be able to play. Tuesday at the latest, the game will be updated.
Chipsness 12 Nov, 2020 @ 4:41pm
Hey so i was trying to play this mod with my friend but we were unable to play is since if one of was not the host we were not able to assign villagers to the buildings or even select the buildings, so as of this moment we are unable to try out this mod.
Rocket Popsicle  [author] 11 Nov, 2020 @ 6:05am
At it's most basic, your goal is to send units to your enemy shore. To do that, you need 2 or more raiding units (Warriors, White Wolves, or Spectral Warriors). If you do not have at least 2 of these units every 3 months when the ships are sent, you will be attacked by Mercenaries. The winning condition is to take the Yggdrasil tile from your opponent.

Remember, Shieldbearers are NOT considered raiding units but will stay behind and defend your base.
BINGCHILLING 11 Nov, 2020 @ 4:37am
i dont understand this mod at all, whats the winning condition? and why sometimes only me get raided but not the enemy
poltorgeist 10 Nov, 2020 @ 11:24pm
Can you explain in English how to play this game? I build warriors but they stay in territory...my opponent never gets attacked
Holl Burs 13 Oct, 2020 @ 12:12pm
Hey! your map looks great but I had a problem while I was playing with a friend!
As the wolf (west side, player 2) I can't click on any building with my villagers to asign them...
I hope you will be able to fix it! Keep up the nice content!
Rocket Popsicle  [author] 20 Sep, 2020 @ 2:54pm
@eltoro0815 I uploaded a potential fix for these crashes today. I'm not sure that they will work. We've recently received some information about which parts of the script need to be run on ONLY the host machine, but I haven't ironed out exactly how to make that work. Thank you for the feedback and I hope you give it another shot!

Crashed at second try at 801 summer just while fighting
eltoro0815 20 Sep, 2020 @ 12:19pm
tried it today. crashed as i upgraded the fishermens hut as bear
catsounds 20 Aug, 2020 @ 5:41am
Yea, I could tell as much. Thanks for looking into it.
Rocket Popsicle  [author] 20 Aug, 2020 @ 5:24am
Hi catsounds, I'll look into this! In the meantime, I wouldn't recommend using saves for modded maps. I've never tested those myself, but I don't think they're optimized.
catsounds 20 Aug, 2020 @ 4:08am
I've been really enjoying this, the little of it I actually manage to play. After around the 3rd winter, when it is either ending or starting, just after the roar that signifies an enemy wave my game just crashes. No error message, no nothing. It's really fun while it lasts, but also really disheartening. If I reload the save and attempt to continue playing, whether the crash occurs or not again is random, but it becomes more frequent the more winters into the game it gets. Thanks for any potential help!

Events are back with the latest update!
Rocket Popsicle  [author] 10 Aug, 2020 @ 9:01pm
Hi, really sorry about that. The latest patch killed some of my functions, I'm re-uploading now!
Nezzie 10 Aug, 2020 @ 5:58pm
Hey-- this looks really cool and fun! Me and my friend were trying to play this but keep getting the following error:
:199: Unknown Identifier launchEvent
We've tried single-player, multiplayer, North America, and Peer-2-Peer and still can't get the script to go. Any suggestions?
Rocket Popsicle  [author] 10 Aug, 2020 @ 1:33pm
Thank you for playing it and sharing your feedback! You've really helped me to make it better.
Cvphilo 10 Aug, 2020 @ 1:07pm
Thanks for the reply. I don't have any friends (ok, not really - I just only like to play solo so I can do it in ten-minute bursts). Makes sense about Wolf - nothing wrong with an interesting easy win. And I do think I had it won as Bear with optimal play (so a fun challenge!), but for the Valdemar weirdness. If that had been a normal raid, I would have won in another 15 seconds.

Thanks again for sharing this.
Rocket Popsicle  [author] 9 Aug, 2020 @ 3:03pm
If you were Wolf, I fully expect you to be able to run over the Bear AI. It's really meant to be played with friends. I can't do too much more for Bear unfortunately, but I will keep thinking.
Rocket Popsicle  [author] 9 Aug, 2020 @ 3:01pm
That's very strange. I thought Valdemarr would be a fun inclusion, but perhaps his mechanics are problematic for the game. I will investigate!
Cvphilo 9 Aug, 2020 @ 11:50am
...except the Valdemar incarnation that attacked me would not die despite being alone and down to no hit points. He just stayed there and captured my tree just before "my" guys captured the enemy tree -- even though I had military units standing there beside him (which I thought paused the capture progress even though they could not reverse it with him still there). So go figure.
Cvphilo 9 Aug, 2020 @ 11:50am
I played the new version. Cutting the white wolf allotment to 2 (and perhaps slowing down the recharge? I noticed I could not send them every time) and adding the Scabbard of Gram(sp?) slowed down the Wolf victory by one season. But it was still an easy sure thing.

As Bear I managed to hang on in my second try, optimizing every action I took as far as I can figure, but it did not look like I would ever turn the corner. Though I had managed to save up enough gold to send a large force next time so maybe. Then with the Valdemar raid I thought I had won just before trying that: "my" raid won with most of the troops surviving the battle and being on the way to capture the Wolf tree...except

Actually, I was very worried that Warchief + Kaija was too much defensive power, and as such I made sure Wolf had the resources they needed. I am working to balance it out effectively without changing anything fundamentally.

May have Bear start with relic to match Wolf. Could be then that Bear is impenetrable at the beginning, but hopefully Wolf will be able to build a krowns advantage and push them later on. Ultimately I wanted each player incentivize to attack each other to keep things interesting, so aggression has to be encouraged.

I appreciate your feedback!
Cvphilo 8 Aug, 2020 @ 12:30pm
Clever mechanic. Thanks for doing it.

Did you mean for it to be so imbalanced? As Wolf, I figured out the mechanics in time to send the white wolves in the 3rd raid and again, plus a warrior, in the 4th... => victory without ever being worried. Meanwhile, the AI apparently has the mechanics figured out from the start, sending white wolves in every wave, keeping Bear totally on the back foot: trying to heal wounded, and too cash poor (no gold for killing the mercenaries) to max out regular troops let alone replace losses. I am thinking I could maybe win with perfect optimal play, but I am far from sure.
