What is the maximum number of policy slots per type or is there a total policy slot maximum? It appears to be around 20 before wonders, traits, etc. kick in. The American ability that changes all Diplomatic slots to Wildcard slots works fine and gives me 40 Wildcard slots but I can't seem to go above 20 with any other civilization.

Features:
1) Modication (of this mod) has 2, 2, 2, 1 slots instead of 3, 3, 3, 3 (For those who find it too OP)
2) Empty Cards become obsolete as you advance trough civic tree.

Doesn´t work even in newly created game ... already tried Twice .. not like i didnt have similiar mod before but that one worked .. this just now not sure i even got ready mod for empty policy cards for the *1st age then you dont have enough cards to chose from to pick them O-O) so you could not get that +5 strength vs barbarians or god king ... (normaly you have to fill all policy spaces to continue..

Thanks it seems working
I made an softer alternative version of 2,2,2,1 (rather than 3,3,3,3 slot) and altered it to my liking.
Your code can be further improved by bringing obsolete rate closer to ancient and classical era policies.

@_m_a_ I was kinda hesitant, I don't want to step on the mod creator toes, nor anything like that, but since he didn't say nothing until now, there it is: https://pastebin.com/Hr1xF7W2
(I also took some time to clean up and organize it a little 😄)

EXTRA POINTS:
- Add this just before the line with </GameInfo>.
- The file to be edited is CMonument_GovCards3.xml.
- If the mod/game is reinstalled/updated/verified, you'll maybe need to reapply those changes
- This is being shared as-is, I do not guarantee it will work, neither it's availability.
- THIS IS AN ADJUSTEMENT INTENDED TO CUSTOMIZE THE BEHAVIOUR OF THE MOD, AND AS SO, ZUR13 STILL HAS THE AUTHORSHIP OF THE ORIGINAL IDEA, FUNCIONALITIES AND CODE.
- If Zur13 wants, I can delete this comment, or, if he wants to include this code or any derivative/similar idea in his mod, I'm OK with that (if you need help with anything, I used a Python script to generate those lines, so I can use it to adapt to something else if needed).

About that idea to remove empty cards, a simple solution would be to use ObsoletePolicies, which make them obsolete with specific researchs.

I've tested making one card obsolete after each era (so, one card of each category would become obsolete at Classical Era, the second at Medieval and the third at Renaissance), it seems to work fine (although I've made that before purchasing the expansions).

The only annoying part is that it's boring and repetitive to generate the lines.

Is it possible for you to make;
remove empty cards after they get replaced by better civics. (researching specified civics to remove that cards - like craftsmanship removes 1 empty eco card and 1 empty military card)
OR
no empty cards altogether, rather slots will be added as you advance civics (like craftsmanship gives 1 eco slot and 1 military slot as they give 1 card of each.)
OR
no empty cards altogether, but we can finish turn with empt slots.
My idea is for to get rid of those annoying cards.
Other than that, its a great mod.

Uploaded the new version changed card type to WILDCARD.
You do not need to uncomment any sections in the files, this mod works standalone and does not need cheat monument it directly applies the cheat to human players.

Running into an old issue... I get all the blank and useless card placeholders and none of the slots to put them in. So all of the fillers and none of the good stuff?

Installed but not yet started to use. The author has added dummy policy cards to fill up the extra empty slots. From the xml file, last 3 lines GovernmentSlotType should be SLOT_WILDCARD and not SLOT_GREAT_PERSON, i think.

@nikivdd Sorry was in a hurry and didn't test it well. Uploaded a new version it has empty policy cards that does nothing and you may use it to fill in slots when you don't have enough standard policy cards.

I cannot click assign policies when there aren't enough policy cards to fill in each category. As a result when i could first change government, i could not continue the game because of not enough policy cards.
