Ive used this personally with a custom retexture mod for awhile now, seems to work fine so far with my experiences in both 1.3 and 1.4

@Rademenes16 there is although most of the actual simulation had to be done using parametric modelling. The main issue was with the constants such as the universal gravitational constant in relation to the parameters of the rimwold game physics. Basically finding stable orbits would have required me to model the in game physics to solve for the constants, assuming the rest of the game is coded as a coherent and continuous system. The methods for orbital simulations are still there though, look at the bottom of the WorldGenStep_Moons file. If you can find a stable orbit then let me know and I can try to use it to model the gravity.

It puts junk into orbit around the planet, and it fixes the visual clipping range from the base game. Now you can see objects farther away on the world map.

I can imagine receiving a message about a piece of debris falling to the planet and creating a recovery mission along the same orbit as the overhead waste in space.
Similar to how they chased after falling debris in the Syfy show 'Defiance'.

Of course, my thorough apologies.
The waste works fine on new save files. However, I was using a pre-existing save and it doesn't have any waste orbiting. It's probably just a prerequiste, Sorry for bothering you.

No. This mod should be compatible with everything. It shouldn't have much impact on performance either. I have no idea what could be going wrong for you, and you have given me no details.

This works fine with SoS2. The ship and space sites from SoS don't currently orbit, but the visual fix on the eclipsing angle benefits any game including SoS.

Well, I guess prolly Look a Moon mod is compatible, you are the same person to update that mod for 1.1./1.2... but what about SOS2 and this mod? A meteor blowing a hole in my ship would be legit! Also, does this mod add Lagrange points with (likely) no moving space junk?

It's more like a fix to the base game. There is supposed be stuff in orbit, and he also fixed it so that objects dont immediately disappear.
They also have xml controls over the satellite so you can play with it.
