@haastylecat13 did you make the updated one for LWOTC? I have also been adjusting the stats.
NightNinja54  [author] 21 Aug, 2023 @ 4:50pm
@haastylecat13
Definitely a cool idea, and agree with your thoughts noted! I don't have plans to make it happen unfortunately, but glad you're enjoying either way
haastylecat13 21 Aug, 2023 @ 12:36pm
Know this is a bit after this mods creation but I just have to say I REALLY love the idea of this mod and it's uses in play. Especially in LWOTC.

The only thing I would really love to see is upgrades to keep these armors viable in later game. It's obvious that Advent improves on these designs (IE armor values, health boosts, and even improvements like better shields like with shield bearers).

I may work on something like this for myself personally, and I've searched for something like this. I know I could just edit values as I go through a playthrough, but I'd like to integrate it to armor level tech or something similar.

Just my two cents on the mod and mod collection.

Don't get me wrong I love it as is Especially with shield bearers and added units like pathfinders:steamthumbsup: etc.

@Big Smoke
Which path did you go to to adjust the configs? Let me know and I'll let you know if that's the right one
Big Smoke 5 Nov, 2022 @ 4:40pm
I created a the trooper armor and it gave me 1. I saw that you mentioned if you go to the config files you can change the amount. I don't see box to check in the config mod. Your mod and the (WOTC) config file mod are the only ones I have installed.

I tried reloading the mods but I still dont see the option in the config mod.
NightNinja54  [author] 26 Oct, 2022 @ 4:51pm
@silverleaf1
That's a good idea, I like it. It would be interesting to balance but it makes sense from a gameplay perspective
silverleaf1 13 Oct, 2022 @ 2:09pm
@NightNinja54 I have been thinking about the this mod and the others in the series. In the config the options are for only one set of armor or the capability to build as many as desired. I think a middle ground might be possible. Perhaps Advent armor requires some kind of element the aliens have as part of the armor creation process. It might be harvested from dead Advent soldiers at the cost of corpses but only in small amounts. Larger amounts might be found at Advent facilities and a very large amount could be found at the Advent Forge. I realize this might require a fair amount of code but I just thought I would pass the idea on to you.
NightNinja54  [author] 9 Oct, 2022 @ 10:33am
@albertsenc
Hm, it should be equipable on 'soldier' classes natively. Are you running any mods that change base classes?
albertsenc 29 Sep, 2022 @ 6:57pm
I have an interesting issue. I can reverse engineer and build a set of the armor, and have 1 in my inventory, but when i try and equip it, it says that I can't. I suspect here is a conflict, just can't figure out what it is. what are the most common issues that would cause this?
crow.bait 24 Aug, 2021 @ 5:21pm
Thanks... I put it to repeat.
NightNinja54  [author] 23 Aug, 2021 @ 1:32pm
@crow.bait
You can set to be infinite, or repeat single builds as desired.
crow.bait 22 Aug, 2021 @ 11:42pm
To be fair I will subscribe and monkey with the config file to see what happens.
crow.bait 22 Aug, 2021 @ 11:40pm
Although it's a good mod... getting a single instance of the armor makes little sense. You should be able to create as many armor instances as you have advent cadavers.
NightNinja54  [author] 23 Feb, 2021 @ 6:09pm
@Ax365
+1 Rusty
RustyDios 23 Feb, 2021 @ 3:20pm
The required mod adds the 'framework', research project etc ...
.. this mods adds an 'actual armor' item to unlock from that framework
Kanari 23 Feb, 2021 @ 2:54pm
Whats the difference exactly between this mod and its required mod?
NightNinja54  [author] 13 Feb, 2021 @ 9:38am
@Sednovia Nova
All good! You can navigate to where your steam application is installed:

C:\Games\steamapps\workshop\content\265000\2192407850.

265000 is XCOM2's game ID. 2192407850 is this mod's ID.

Within that folder, you can navigate to 'Config\XCOM_Customize_This_Mod'

In that file, you can change all aspects of how the mod is implemented in your particular game state.
Zedonova Nova 13 Feb, 2021 @ 12:14am
Again, i appreciate the help. Which file do I go to edit the mod? file location would be helpful as well to configure this section. Again, love the mod appreciate the work. Thank you a bunch.
NightNinja54  [author] 12 Feb, 2021 @ 11:49am
@Segnovia Nova
You can turn repeatable on in the configuration file.
Zedonova Nova 12 Feb, 2021 @ 8:13am
Well, just to ask a favor. If you could make this repeatable that would be great. I am pretty sure everyone would greatly appreciate that fix.
NightNinja54  [author] 7 Feb, 2021 @ 1:45pm
@sam
Yes, "ADVENT Armor: Reverse Engineering" is a required prerequisite

@Werther86
Yeah, if the research's aren't getting picked up, starting a new campaign should address that. Appreciate the kind words however!
Augustus5200 7 Feb, 2021 @ 4:23am
I have dissected the body, but I don't see any options in the armor page. Do I need to subscribe to other mods to use this?
Werther86 5 Feb, 2021 @ 9:42am
@NightNinja54
No apologize needed man, it was a kind of requesting confirmation of what I understood. That's why I kept stating "I believe" :) so I understand that's correct, we have to start from scratch if we started the game and subscribed the individual armors later on. Right?

In all cases, keep up the nice work; ur mod makes XCOM more realistic and even more replayable after all. :steamthumbsup:
Cat Kraken 1 Feb, 2021 @ 11:50am
okay thanks!
NightNinja54  [author] 1 Feb, 2021 @ 11:03am
@Cat Kraken
Thank you - by default you can build one. However, the config is fully user friendly and customizable to make the build repeatable, or the armor be infinite (like kevlar armor). You may adjust as desired!

@Werther86
I thought I had included logic to solve for this, but if not I apologize for the inconvenience.
Cat Kraken 30 Jan, 2021 @ 9:35pm
is it a make one only? or can i mass produce them as long as i have supplies? (i love your mods btw)
Cat Kraken 30 Jan, 2021 @ 9:35pm
how many of these armors can i make?
Werther86 23 Nov, 2020 @ 3:06pm
I believe if user fails to understand subscribing individual armors, then start playing and research the 'reverse-engineering' then no armor schematics appear even if we subscribe to individual armor mods. We (I believe) have to start the campaign from scratch to see them under armors section of engineering.

I just autopsied the advent officer and no schematics appeared for the officer armor in engineering.
NightNinja54  [author] 10 Sep, 2020 @ 6:19pm
@miguelmonte2005
Are you subscribed to the individual armor mods as well? Have you autopsied the individual units via research? The armors appear as schematics in engineering to build once both reverse-engineering and autopsies are complete.

@anthonyl
Swell
miguelmonte2005 10 Sep, 2020 @ 2:59pm
im sorry. i am at a loss... just researched reverse-engineering... but no arnor, nowhere...? where do i find it, build it, use it? im sorry, thkz in advance!
anthonyl 29 Aug, 2020 @ 2:50pm
Yes I am indeed, thanks for the info! Will change that now.
NightNinja54  [author] 29 Aug, 2020 @ 1:33pm
@anthonyl
It should change - are you using a mod like unrestricted customization? That will lock your soldiers appearance's
anthonyl 29 Aug, 2020 @ 1:26pm
Hm is it normal that when I equip the armor e.g. Trooper Armor the look of my soldier doesn't change?
NightNinja54  [author] 18 Aug, 2020 @ 8:53am
@Gguy
Thank you for letting me know. I understand the issue you're encountering - I'll investigate if I can address. I've added to my to-do list
Gguy 18 Aug, 2020 @ 8:17am
@NightNinja54 So i found a mod conflict. You see, i'm using the "modular legacy pieces" mod and every time i equip this armor (be it on a male or female), it automatically equips the "assault" torso gear. There's no way to unequip the gear, and the clipping makes it look really odd and out of place. Do you think you could create a compatibility patch? Maybe a way to force the torso gear to be automatically removed upon equipping the armor?
NightNinja54  [author] 17 Aug, 2020 @ 7:18pm
@Redrumm
Ohh, gotcha - yeah, I can't change that unfortunately
Redrumm 17 Aug, 2020 @ 5:02pm
Sorry NightNinja I wasn't clear. The primary color I can change but the secondary color I cannot edit.
Gguy 17 Aug, 2020 @ 12:17pm
This is awesome, guys! I've always loved the ADVENT armor packs available on the workshop, but found it a bit disappointing that they were added as Kevlar instead of their own item. This mod not only gives you some awesome armor, but it also increases immersion and gameplay options with that deception trait (After all, it would be hard to identify an infiltrator dressed in the armor of your troops if you didn't get a closer look at them). Personally i'll turn the "repeatable" option because...well, the Elders have a nearly unlimited supply of ADVENT troops. Wouldn't be impossible to get another set of armor if you invested time and resources into it =P.
NightNinja54  [author] 17 Aug, 2020 @ 8:28am
@Redrumm
It is tintable

@Rost Kurt
Will include in next update

@rainbowjohn
You can make the schematic repeatable in the customization config to build multiple armors.

@Gguy
Makes sense to me too, glad to hear that its immersive and fits the lore
Redrumm 17 Aug, 2020 @ 6:43am
Ahh wish this was tintable
Rost Kurt 16 Aug, 2020 @ 12:07pm
@neIVIesis, plz add sell option for this item
Apollo 15 Aug, 2020 @ 6:48pm
i wanna be able to make more i like the idea of non skirmisher rebelious advent
neIVIesis  [author] 15 Aug, 2020 @ 5:46am
@tastiger841 Funny that you mention that. The very reason I got into making images for mods was precisely because of that Fulton reward icon. I do have a custom one, but the modder never responded to my request to update mod.

May be I can release a patch mod with it.
NightNinja54  [author] 14 Aug, 2020 @ 6:42pm
@MKX
By default, yes - however: you can customize the armor to infinite via the config by setting “infinite” to yes OR you can customize the schematic to be repeatable multiple times by setting “repeatable” to yes. Hope this helps

@The Shrubbery King, @Col
Glad to hear! Thank you, enjoy
MKX 14 Aug, 2020 @ 2:16pm
Only one Armor buildable ? is this correct ? But thx for the Mod anyways.
Coley 14 Aug, 2020 @ 7:32am
Appreciate the update! Thanks a bunch!
QueenofSparrows 13 Aug, 2020 @ 6:50pm
Oh wow, I was interested in this mod before but seeing the Deception ability really makes this a lot more interesting. Putting this on a ranger to get closer to ADVENT or on a stealth operative to help them sneak through tight formations would be really useful for early - even mid - game. Well done!
NightNinja54  [author] 13 Aug, 2020 @ 6:37pm
Released an update:
- adds the armor as a workshop schematic instead of a proving ground project
- adds NelVleSiS' excellent inventory images
- adds the requested 'Deception' ability
- adds further customization for all stats
NightNinja54  [author] 12 Aug, 2020 @ 6:03am
@Tastiger841
Thanks man, enjoy as always

@Col
Yes, investigating for some additional interactions hopefully. Appreciate the support!

@Flashstriker, @TrooperCoon
Thank you, glad to hear
tastiger841 11 Aug, 2020 @ 5:46am
Good good to see another mod from Master Ninja, me me still playing Total warhammer 2, will post my feedback on your other mods in few few days time.

Now now, Master nelVlesis, are you able to create an icon for the Fulton Rewards, which uses the medkit icon and causes confusion sometimes?
