Ah, I mean the idea or design of your mod
thank you!

...models? No models in this. But sure general permission with credits for what you want.

Hello friend, I'm a member of the modding team for "恒久之国",I wanted to ask if we had permission to use your models in our mod with full credits.

¡Gracias!

...you are running this on 2.0? lol yes. I am surprised it even loads.
Francisco 28 Mar, 2021 @ 6:27pm
It seems the strategic resources shortage still occurs with this mod. Maybe best to unsubscribe then :/

tbh I am pretty happy with the military rework in 2.0 with levies, so not sure if this is necessary any more. I guess it could still limit legions, but it would be a bit clunky with levies since you have relatively little control of what they are made up of.

When will this be updated?

I wonder if mine is having some weird incompatibility. Tried stopped all trades, blocking the resource from trades (had a couple going out, but not nearly full amount). It did stop the amount from jumping from one value to another each month. However, now it is stuck at 128. For reference, I have about 72 iron being produced across all provinces.
starchitec  [author] 9 Nov, 2020 @ 4:29pm
It should be the sum of everything you have in your provinces. If you trade it away, then it should go down.

Great mod, seem to be having an issue with it updating though. My counts of iron have been alternating between quite a bit, with it sometimes showing 200 and other times only showing 168. Is it calculated via surplus just sitting in a province or does it need to be actively traded? Trying to figure out why the number could be jumping from month to month.

for simplicity, chariots and archers do not use resources. Wood is for bows is readily available and chariots are just not good enough to be worth limiting. Not to mention that would ruin AI tribes

Just a thought...many armies historically thought of as "heavy" infantry used bronze armor shields and swords for some time even during the roman empire. Maybe add basic metals as a strategic resource allowing it to be the support for your heavies until your tech in military switches your troops to mostly iron use with a corresponding increase of battle stats and cost for the iron use over bronze. One might have to create a new unit type for bronze heavies so you could still retain bronze for your colonial troops and use the better more expensive troops from iron in your guards and mainline armies.

Question I haven't checked yet, do chariots use strategic horses? If not they should as well but at a lower ratio plus wood. Archers use wood? or no?

Good work so far though, it is appreciated.

Exactly what the game needs!!
Brodda 16 Aug, 2020 @ 12:41pm
Awesome job. I've suggested similar concepts before on the forums as have others.
Quimera 14 Aug, 2020 @ 9:11am
To the modder, GOOD FVCKING JOB, that is exactly tge stuff I wanted to paradox add to the vanilla game, important and measurable resources, WD.
Quimera 14 Aug, 2020 @ 9:10am
@Siegerius but that is reallistic, and the players will focus to obtain more resources and improve their buildings
Siegerius 13 Aug, 2020 @ 3:42pm
very cool but don't think that devs will do that officially
firstly because of balance. One who controls iron and other resources is a lot stronger than everyone who dont have
if to be real the galia dont have a lot of iron and 80 percent of gaul armies will be light infantry so they will be ABsolutely destroyed by rome carthage greece or gauls who have iron at start
also trade sistem always been to powerfull
secondly you buy 1 wheat resource and you can feed about 40 pop groups (I just think that 1 seed resource is a lot if looking from that point)
also one resource get benefit for all of the province so you buy or sell a lot of resources
i forgot what i wanted to say last
Calvin J. Candie 13 Aug, 2020 @ 3:13pm
This is fantastic. This is something the devs should've implemented already. Hoping for this on a trade rework.

I played around with having heavy cav cost both iron and horses but it tended to lead me to want to just not build heavy cav, and just use all my iron for heavy infantry. It also was a bit confusing. I dont think Chariots need to be limited. Honestly same for light infantry, low end units should probably not have caps.
Amlet 13 Aug, 2020 @ 12:51pm
Can you increase the heavy cavalry cost to 1 iron and 1 horse?
Is it a good idea to have also wood for chariots and basic metal for light infantry?
Sunbro 13 Aug, 2020 @ 10:13am
Awesome mod with an elegant approach, it absolutely looks like something that should have been in vanilla since day 1. It pushes you (and the AI) to play to your strengths instead of always spamming the same unit combination, and wouldn't be surprised if it becomes a staple for most load orders.
Penguin 13 Aug, 2020 @ 4:29am
Wow. That's actually a pretty cool idea!
starchitec  [author] 12 Aug, 2020 @ 2:23pm
It now should be forced to load after Better UI regardless of where you put it in the launcher, but if somehow you are still not seeing resources in the military tab put this last.
starchitec  [author] 12 Aug, 2020 @ 1:15pm
It does! just load it last. Actually I think I can force it to just forgot to put in the trigger
Amlet 12 Aug, 2020 @ 12:59pm
Genius, is something a lot of players ask in PDX forum.
Too bad doesn't work with better UI.
charchar97 12 Aug, 2020 @ 12:56pm
wow
CharlesKrushtush 12 Aug, 2020 @ 12:30pm
big fan of this
E 12 Aug, 2020 @ 8:24am
Heavens, this is amazing! This deserves to be a vanilla feature.
Sock184 12 Aug, 2020 @ 4:55am
This should be in the base game.
TrJacobin 11 Aug, 2020 @ 3:07am
Oh WOW!
