This spawned in as a mission

No? It goes around 40 M/S which is 90 MPH... which is what triple 7s are capable of.

maybe slow it down

Thanks?

@ThunderActual ...actually it works to let others who might be reading these posts know who I'm talking to.

the @ doesn't work, and the its insipred by the 36 yellowfin, which isnt possible in the stormworks world
XLjedi 13 Aug, 2020 @ 6:46am
@ThunderActual ...well in fairness, as far being critical regarding "dampness on realism" the outboard engines on your 36 Yellowfin measure 4" x 5.75" x 14" and your 36 ft.boat is 72 feet long; 80" if you include those ginormous outboards! I think we all give a pass on the engine location until maybe the modular parts become available.
Marcotics  [author] 12 Aug, 2020 @ 6:30pm
Yeah i've tried outboards with actual engines in them and they're just way too bulky, plus no place to hide 4+ transmissions. I did actually check out your Yellowfin earlier today.
longwang 12 Aug, 2020 @ 4:54pm
Yeah your balance and power ratings are really good, however the overall realism is dampened. The devs did annouce compact engines (OUTBOARDS YAY!!!) Id love to make sick boat with you, check out my Yellowfin and Contender, do what you want with them.

This is my first one :)

Hey man Ive been attempting to build CC's in stormworks for a while, Id love to collab
Marcotics  [author] 11 Aug, 2020 @ 7:17pm
Thank you. I based the whole boat off of the thumbnail for the update log a couple of updates ago. Tried to make it look as similar as possible. Only thing I'm not liking about the way it performs is the fact that when it turns its just so flat so it'd be nice to have it turn like a V hull but it seems to just act weird without stabilization.
XLjedi 11 Aug, 2020 @ 6:18pm
LOL... I've been looked into over a year ago, and still no one seems to know. I think straight multiply of the RPS or RPM by Torque value is probably best we can do. Love your boat design here by the way. I just installed a high performance stabilizer on it and it runs beautifully! Carves turns now like a V-hull.
Marcotics  [author] 11 Aug, 2020 @ 6:09pm
Yeah ive literally just tried to look up what the torque meter seems to measure in. I don't think it's any traditional measure unit unfortunately. I'd love to see some clarity on that.
XLjedi 11 Aug, 2020 @ 6:06pm
5252 assumes torque is measured in foot-pounds and frankly I have no idea how they measure torque in this game. I suspect something possibly metric? Additionally the torque in this game doesn't ramp-up as the engine revs, so I've heard it described as latent torque. I've taken to the simple multiplication of the two and just call it "Stormhorsepower"
Marcotics  [author] 11 Aug, 2020 @ 6:00pm
A generally measurement would be RPS*Torque/5252.
XLjedi 11 Aug, 2020 @ 5:10pm
Ok, no worries then. I was just curious if there was an acceptable standard for a pseudo HP calc in stormworks, and I've done no better than multiplying RPS*Torque. ...but I know it's not correct.

It's just the name of the real world counterpart - 627
XLjedi 11 Aug, 2020 @ 2:46pm
Looks nice, how are you measuring the horsepower?
