@All: The update is still a work in progress. I've had a few set backs in my personal life that have affected my time and motivation to work on the update, but it is still being worked on and has not been abandoned. I don't have a time-frame for when it will be released, all I can say is it will be "sometime soon™"
I've realised I need to still give the Rifle pack some love so I'm not steering myself away from the SMGs etc and more back toward the rifles. As such the L119A2 will be getting the attention it deserves in the next few days/weeks (re: the charging handle latch, incorrect flash hider as well as the optic proxy position). Might have chance to add a few additions to the next update, I'll see how they fit into my work-schedule.
@PurpurPolarBear: The A2 model is still very much WIP. I've been in contact with someone who has provided me with some nice reference images and model parts to cannibalise and use in further developing the A2. Stay tuned...
@Fire Lord Iroh: I could....but I probably wont...
@Fire Lord Iroh: I'll look into adjusting the OD shade more into line with other in-game assets.
@Komrade Doggo: Probably not. My reasons for keeping everything compartmentalised with everything separate from one another is to enable people to be able to only use the weapons they want without having to download a HUGE >2GB pack (if not bigger by the time I'm done) for just a few ARs or handguns etc - I made that mistake back in the OFP days. Plus, I'm new to STEAM Workshop releases and I understand they have some sort of size limitations on PBOs or content in general so a separate release structure works out better for me...
@True Kult: More AK variants are 'planned', as well as some other non-Western weapons in other packs too. Stay tuned...
If I may ask, are you going to do more AK variants or is it more of a AR stuff mod?
So glad to see you back for ArmA3 now. Good stuff!
About the vertical foregrip animations.
Every shooter is different, but here is a picture that shows the proper hand placement for a vertical foregrip. https://i.imgur.com/yPe9VdN.png
This is not exactly a C-Clamp style grip as many people know it, but it is very similar, and it is the way they were designed to be used. In my amateur opinion, it is the most ambiguous and universal type of grip that works for the greatest number of shooters. And, due to the way Arma does your "idle" animations (when your gun is not raised), it should look alright.
If you do decide to try and change it, I hope the reference image helps. Good luck in any case.
