I am looking forward to it and please send a message hear to let us know when its ready.

Egosoft received more than 2.5 Million Euros from the German government to write and design the new version - X5 I presume.

I think they are finished with X4 except for ironing out all the bugs.

Have not resumed playing this game until the HB mod is working. But I have plenty of other games I am playing now.

Thanks for the reply and hopefully in the future this mod can remain working for any patches to come.

I might try to update the mod in the future, but I currently have no plans for it. It is very encouraging to see your comments tho :)

Lets hope someone does it as well as you did. Its a great mod and I still have a saved game where I am seated in the cockpit. It all works fine until I try going to another ship and back to the HB. Then I cannot move towards the cockpit to resume duties.

Thanks for the mod. For me it has been the best balanced ship for my style of gaming.

@derdaen I'm currently not planning on updating the mod myself, so I do not mind if someone else reuploads a fixed version, as long as I get credited.

@bzdbqg: May i ask if you could publish your patched version with credit to Karto? He does not seem to answer to anyone. I just love the heavy behemoth and would love to use it again.

On 2dn of August i asked the Autor on the VRO Version of this mod:
"This is so sad. I guess there are many Argon players, who would like to get this ship. Maybe Karto could give permission to edit the files by other modders to make it work again?!"

So maybe the Author does not reply on comments...

I can confirm that Heavy behemoths may spawn without engines in ai jobs.

Fixed that (I think), haven't managed to add the new collisions required by the new physics engine however, which is the trickier part.

Karto, Just a FYI. When attempting to build one of these at my docks, I am unable to add engine's, shields, and the only turrets available are missile turrets.

@Chaos I haven't updated this mod in quite a while, don't know where that issue comes from. If you have a bit of know-how you can tinker with the mod's settings so they fit your liking.

There was an update which increased repair drones etc, but now the rotation speed is ultra slow.

Now using Split Engine for my ship giving 260 m/s however rotation in normal, stationary or in super-cruise speeds is slower than before the update.

Or could it be the Asgard mod I added? Any advice?

If you really like the Behemoth but want one with a little more oomph, this mod here is great. Makes Odysseus E and Rattlesnake run for their money.

The Leviathan is a different beast altogether, it's a big and slow XL-battleship more meant to compete with the likes of Asgard and I.

I personally don't bother with the base-price and resources of a ship, because I just capture the ones I want from the NPC-factions... this way I just have to pay credits or res for changes in the equipment.

Terran Intervention-corps even keep sending more Asgards my way and with a bit of patience they're usually easy to capture, even with the more powerful weapons from mods I use.

The factions keep replacing all the ships they lose, so there is practically no need for the player to buy or build ships - at least not unless you already cleansed the universe, if that's your thing.

Balance? vanilla game? Are you kidding me? Compare Odyssey and Behemot destroyer. Obyssey always wins. Yes, the main cannon has only two, and shoots slowly but much further than the others.
A visually ugly ship, but 4 big tower, long-range-shot plasma towers, very well spaced, and +12 small towers (PAR plasma canon longest range + 400m above all) and a bonus, internal dock for 10 M-type ships.
Balance of the game? nonsense.
The idea is interesting. But its overpriced characteristics knock it out of balance. Balancing required. I'm thinking of reducing speed and durability, as well as removing one shield.
