This mod needs to be changed to move the OBSOLETE to the front of the name, people are still tying to use it instead of reading that you abandoned it and let someone else take over because their stupid apparently

Maybe it's checking from grid origin>grid origin, rather than tether>tether point?

First of all, great mod... Trying to figure out why my static grid connected to another large grid only has a range of about 65m before the tether breaks. The info says it should be 100m. I have tried all the different combinations but cant figure this one out. Static to static and Large to small work as they should. Thanks!

Trying to trigger 2 seperated grids connected by wires on another but things added to a timer block end up greying out (unabkr to trigger) if it's on the seperate wired grid... just wondering if this mod will have that capability in the future? Would be awesome...

Have exactly the same Problem as @InsKill. Server Simspeed goes down to 0.2 as soon as I finish a Connection Block. Console gets spammed with the same Message as stated by @InsKill
Have it combined with many Mods (according to Kanajashi Season 4 Modlist)
It happens when I let it run on a dedicated Server. If loaded directly (SE Client) it works fine with SimSpeed 1.0. Didnt find anything in the logs at least.

Great Mod Idea in general!
Specially the feature of initial powering of your vehicles before you connect them to your system its absolute gold! And it makes sense! Its not overpowered!

I ran into a compatibility issue with "Robot Raider Pods" currently popular hear on steam. Together they were causing tethers to throw an error shortly after loading a save.

Tethers has much more utility to me so bye bye Raiders. (At least the error no longer appeared after only disabling Raiders but still leaving it's dependencies in place for other uses)

i used this in a new dedicated server today. 2 players only.
seems to work ok for 1 person, but each player cannot see the others tether or control panel connections. it seems to be crashing the torch interface but i am setup to input commands from ingame and discord without the GUI and the server itself continues to run. one player had an appdata error for the mod files on reconnecting to the server and had to reconnect again. 122 other mods... all working ok (bar the dozen that all broke and had to be removed yesterday).
I have removed tethers again at the moment because i needed to make some config changes in the torch UI.
eager to test some more when changes are made.

I suggest that for the cable origin resembling a button panel that a model be created to resemble a cable reel. A similar model could be used for hoses further down the road.
I'd also like to see a small block version for running jumper leads between vehicles.

Sad, but still doesn't work. Connection only visual, no logical connection in interface, no recharge.
Works perfectly till Industry official update.

for those asking about a fix. Psycho, the mod author, said something on their discord server about lack of time for being able to maintain their mods so as of right now there dosen't appear to be any chance for an update.

If this mod is not updated and you still want wireless power transmission, see my Laser Antenna Grid Firmware mod which is fixed for the new update and works in multiplayer. :steamhappy:

So i guess the new update broke the mod. hopefully it gets fixed soon, a lot of my builds use this mod but now i had to manage to grind a door to my inventory room grab materials for connectors, rotors, and pistons. then build a new power distribution system.

It seems broken now. grids connected with the power thether seem incapable of transferring power. Example:

One grid has 5 wind turbines. The other grid has an assembler. For some reason now, the turbines do not output power even if the assembler demands power.

This mod was good though. It seems as if the newest update has changed how power is transferred.

I'm guessing the rework of how the "Y" and "P" buttons work and subsequently how grids connect is what's affecting this mod. I will shelf it until this can get sorted. Too bad.

It doesn't work between large grids either since the update. The game detects the connection (the confirmation text appears, even the grid power up sound effect is there, but no power transfer actually happens).

Maybe the "Power transmission on/off button" from the TODO list is actually kinda solved by this update. My guess would be that after Connectors got a power transmission toggle which is Off by default, maybe it's the same issue with these blocks, we just need the option to enable the transmission. But I have no idea about modding so it's just a guess.

This is one of the best mods, I really hope it can be fixed
