I love most of your Better Event mod series, but didn't take this one. Part of it was that I'm fairly content with the vanilla versions of these events, but I think the biggest factor is that unlike your other mods, you never mention exactly what you changed these events TO, either in the mod description or in the design process discussion thread. I'm not going to download a mod when I have no idea what I'm getting.

I think Ritual Mask relic has a very harsh downside. Starting with a full hand of Madness, takes away player agency. Please consider redesigning the relic.

本mod的设置面板上也有一些选项,分别决定着对各个事件的修改是开还是关,故而玩家可以自定义想要添加第三选择的事件。想问以下MOD的设置面板在哪里呀?

really like the design of the mod but I think its kinda weird that the new option for shining light adds a burn instead of a decay as the difference between curses and statuses is that statuses leave your deck after each battle and using a status like a curse this way feels out of place.

this will be useful... i once got that secret portal (i think from infinite spire, which is also a cool mod), but i didnt know that visiting it would take me to the ending area of the game, since i wanted to play more and more lol) :)

Can you make a "Better Apparation"? I LOVE your mods ... and I HATE this event. It's one of those that are almost always a dead node because I never take it (apart form .5% of the time maybe).

You misunderstand the data, and overvalue the high roll option of the event choice. The win rate from not getting burned is not meaningfully different from the win rates of the upgrade option, or of the leave option. Succeeding on the event roll increases your chances of winning by 2%. That is not something I would remotely classify as "trivializing" nor is it close to an immediate win. You still are far more likely to lose the run than win after not getting burned.

I would also encourage you, if you are not a fan of that particular event, to disable that in the options. The mod provides to ability to toggle each event individually as part of the settings.

The "Better" Shining Light is really a downgrade. Your Apotheosis/Burn option gives this event way too much swing. 25% to basically win a run and 75% to ruin it. You think this is healthy balanced wise because of win rates, but if there was an option that said 50% immediately win and 50% immediately lose, that also would seem to have "balanced" win rates but overall would not be healthy for the game. Again, events shouldn't have this much power over a run because it trivializes everything else.

I'd love to see a single mod that bundles all of your "better events" into a single downloadable. Since you offer the option to selectively disable events, bundling them together would cut down on how many mods I need to juggle in the mod loader.

Hi, I have a suggestion for another even that I think is a good candidate for tweaking: the Old Beggar event. 75 gold to remove a card or simply leave and be berated by the "beggar" (who is actually the Cleric) ; nothing really wrong with it, but not terribly interesting either. I'm curious what you could come up with. I really like when events can have special options depending on the relics you already have, or ones that open new options in future events depending on your decision in a prior event, and this one stands out to me as one that could benefit from that type of design.

Yes, the game disables achievements and leaderboards when launching with mods, though, I believe other mods exist to bypass that.

Thanks! I go into more depth in the discussion thread, but my goal for these events was not based on power level, but rather interest. Ancient Writing is a rather binary event where players tend to choose the same thing every time, so I attempted to add a third option that would create more interesting decisions for the player when encountering this event. Interestingly, the option most chosen has the lowest win-rate!

Hi, if you have a crash log, it would be appreciated if you posted it in the Bug Reports thread, although, I don't do anything with bonfires or smithing in this mod, so I think probably another mod is causing this issue.

The trade off is that 75% of the time not only does the player not get the card, but also gets effectively a curse, but without curse synergy as well. That comes on top of the opportunity cost of not taking the upgrade option which is one of the more powerful event options in the game. I think this makes it an interesting choice from a player perspective. The win rate of the option has also never left a range of +/- 2% from the normal win rate (so far), so balance wise it's in a very healthy state.

Hello. Thank you for this wonderful mod. I'd just like to add that 25% for a Apotheosis+ feels overpowered for an event that occurs in the first act. Barring that I'm having a great experience with your mods :)
