No idea, I don't play LWotC. Most likely LW swaps the perk names for unique LW ones.

Thanks for the mod! Yet, it doesn't work for me with LWotC and Mod Jam. At least Ripjack Slash doesn't cause bleeding. (I set the chance to 100% in ini. file). Is it even compatible with LWotC?

Is the template name for Freezing Lash just "freezing_lash" to add this bleed effect to the Freezing Lash ability from the Viper King armor?

Yeah, this mod adds a bleeding effect to the target of the abilities listed in this mods XComGameData_SoldierSkills.ini config.. there are 4.. 5? perks it applies to..

So I would start with looking at the perks edited there, then look for any other mods that also adjust those perks. It is possible it's not this mod causing the self-bleed? But something else would be harder to identify ~ good luck :)

None that I know off, but this mod only affects the abilities in the config.. so ?
It's possible you are having issues with another deadeye-style ability & RPGO ?

I'm getting a Rip&Tear self-bleed even with the effect commented out in the config... Is there another mod known for weirding stuff out ? It's still the proficiency perks so i'm rather perplexed.

Right after I wrote the message to you it procced :-) So yeah, definitively bad luck RNG. I am using it together with Critical Skirmishing, Not enough Skirmishing and Skillful Skirmishing. Thanks for your mods. I think I use almost all of them!

Well.. on Justice is only a 75% chance, might just be bad luck rng .. are you using any other major Skirmisher overhauls that might have changed the template name ?

@RustyDios thanks. BTW i just started a new campaign and I couldn't proc this mod's effect not even one single time with my Skirmisher (I am using only Justice at the moment).

Its referring to this ability: "SkirmisherPostAbilityMelee" which is in the code but I couldn't identify it myself either, hence why it is commented out

Thanks for testing that out... I had a look and yes, Rip and Tear 'targets' the holder on mission start to give them a shredding effect, so this would indeed target them for the bleed effect too!

Good catch! ... I'll get the default config updated to not include it.

Thanks a lot man. I checked again and the only other mod that might affect my game is LWOTC, but I think they kept the vanilla Faction classes and didn't make any changes to them. Also, this problem seems to happen after my Skirmisher reaches Major rank in Proficiency Plugin. I'm currently trying to switch from Rip and Tear to another ability, see if that fixes it.

Hmm.. I've not heard of this issue with any other mods other than RPGO. I know this has been working fine with Proficiency Classes. Must be something else, but I'll investigate. Thanks for the bug report :)

I don't use RPGO, however I do use Proficiency Class: Skirmisher plugin.

My guess would be that you are also using RPGO, which has a similar issue with Deadeye abilities that cause bleeding ?

This is something to do with how the bleed effect is changed in that mod to apply to the unit that can give it out... it instead applies it to the ripjack holder on mission start, and is not something I can fix or address in this mod. Sorry.

Sorry to bother you but I'm having an issue whenever my Skirmisher gets deployed he'll start with bleeding that ends in 2 turns. I don't have other mods that allows Skirmisher to have bleed abilities. Just a heads up.
