This looks better than some of the tiles the game has by default.
Doughknot 15 Jan, 2023 @ 12:38pm
this is the best mod for this game, love the ceiling turrets
Lefty 7 Jul, 2022 @ 6:14am
oh man, that really sucks.
Jackson =D 2 Mar, 2022 @ 2:14am
Ah damn, sorry to hear that. I guess I'll just avoid climbing the elevators then. Past that, this really is a great tile set!
Cow Obliterated By Train 1 Mar, 2022 @ 3:39pm
I like it fine as is, it's quite nice; sorry to hear about the rig man.
Jackerino  [author] 1 Mar, 2022 @ 3:28pm
I straight up can't update it sadly; I lost the source files after my old PC exploded from a power surge. So you're just kinda have to enjoy it as-is.
Cow Obliterated By Train 1 Mar, 2022 @ 2:17pm
year and a half since update, good luck bro
Jackson =D 1 Mar, 2022 @ 9:02am
Great tile set in general, but the elevator area is absolutely painful to platform upwards through. Especially if there's a turret on the top floor, and you have to climb the props on top of the elevator.
Maybe just a regular plank of wood to use as a ramp would help?
Paynamia 16 Jan, 2022 @ 7:44pm
Congrats on the spotlight!
Jackerino  [author] 27 Oct, 2020 @ 5:02pm
I appreciate the support! I definitely plan on adding more tiles soon :)
ningelo 27 Oct, 2020 @ 4:20pm
really cool! it's a wonderful change from the base tiles i played for 70 hours. feels a lot more fleshed out and complex. i'd be very happy to see more from you.
Dr. Death 9 Oct, 2020 @ 8:30pm
i LOVE your tiles, and i love how you added the roof turret as a new enemy to your tiles, however i have a bit of an issue with the ramps here and there to walk or strafe since it glitches and forces me to either run or jump to advance. Also is it me or does your tileset requires more computer power than the stock game ones?
I love how the new verticality and close quarters in the cargo area makes for some intense and scary encounters.
Jackerino  [author] 7 Oct, 2020 @ 10:37pm
I can't really think of one outside of making it easier to see the blue spotlights that turrets and drones give off. It's just a neat little thing that you can do in the original Receiver tileset.
Jared 6 Oct, 2020 @ 3:39pm
What's the point of shooting out lights??
Jackerino  [author] 6 Oct, 2020 @ 9:16am
If you look on the right underneath the "File Size", "Posted", and "Updated" tabs, you'll see a "3 Change Notes (view)" option. I write extensive update logs there!

However, for convenience, i'll put the information about the latest update here:

- Considerably reduced item spawn locations (namely, removed most locations where item spawns were in the same place as turret spawns, and also reduced the amount of item spawns on shelves)

- In the Vent Basement, lowered the height of the vent on the ground, significantly increasing the difficulty of that area, as you can no longer exploit being able to stand up behind vents, but it is just high enough to provide you cover depending on your distance

- Compiled the mod for Linux and Mac, so Linux and Mac users can now use this tile (hopefully).
Musickiller 6 Oct, 2020 @ 8:49am
Hi! Thanks for this mod, it's great! But can you please write what was added in the last update?
Jared 29 Sep, 2020 @ 6:15pm
One more question, whats the point of shooting out lights?
Jared 28 Sep, 2020 @ 7:19pm
Also a recomdation for the next tile you make, MINES, you have to go through old mines jump over creces filled with lava, it'd be cool, and there are mining carts everywhere and there is somethimes holes that go deeper into the mines, it'd just be really cool.
Jared 28 Sep, 2020 @ 6:02pm
Also, how do I disable the drones?
Jackerino  [author] 28 Sep, 2020 @ 5:48pm
in the options, tick "only modded tiles", then default tiles will no longer spawn
Jared 28 Sep, 2020 @ 5:45pm
but then how do I disable the default tiles that spawn!?
Jackerino  [author] 28 Sep, 2020 @ 5:45pm
no, you can! You can play the game with just this tile if you want, or if you want to use it with other tiles
Jared 28 Sep, 2020 @ 5:43pm
So I can't play the game with only this tile?
Jackerino  [author] 28 Sep, 2020 @ 5:41pm
It means that you can play them with the default tileset, or other modded tilesets when they are released, and it will work perfectly, and naturally integrate into them!
Jared 28 Sep, 2020 @ 4:12pm
They're all also designed to be able to be completed either with just that individual tileset selected, or while being integrated into whatever other configuration of tilesets you may have. What does that mean?
McMessenger 11 Sep, 2020 @ 11:57pm
I've been having a lot of fun playing through Receiver again, especially with the tile set mods - I love how they all blend together with the default tile set as well. I gotta figure out how to do at least one of these myself to add to this game. We have plenty of weapons, now we just need some more environments.
edo 6 Sep, 2020 @ 10:50am
Awesome mod. This is the kind of mod I was hoping to play once workshop would arrive. Design of the level is cool. And it works in linux now.
KingObliv 5 Sep, 2020 @ 6:20am
This is excellent! I've bought games with worse level design than this!
Jackerino  [author] 4 Sep, 2020 @ 11:25pm
Hey all, just released an update to the mod. Here is what's in the changelog:

- Considerably reduced item spawn locations (namely, removed most locations where item spawns were in the same place as turret spawns, and also reduced the amount of item spawns on shelves)

- In the Vent Basement, lowered the height of the vent on the ground, significantly increasing the difficulty of that area, as you can no longer exploit being able to stand up behind vents, but it is just high enough to provide you cover depending on your distance

- Compiled the mod for Linux and Mac, so Linux and Mac users can now use this tile (hopefully).

If anyone is on Linux or Mac, please let me know if it works for you, as I have no way of testing if it worked.
A_pet_tick 4 Sep, 2020 @ 7:02pm
looks absolutely goregous! but i feel like its a bit generous with the spawns (assuming you have control). with vanila tiles im always scraping by with jsut a little bit extra but when i use modded tiles only im able to get so much ammo it goes off of the screen.
even so, this is a great mod and i cant imagine playing without it.
777 3 Sep, 2020 @ 5:15am
Awesome work! I love the new tiles, especially the elevator ones. Also the ceiling turret... doubled fun!
Luft 2 Sep, 2020 @ 7:45pm
Thank you for the pointer! I would have never thought to go there.
Jackerino  [author] 1 Sep, 2020 @ 9:17pm
The Wolfire Discord is a good place to look; otherwise, I modeled the environments in Blender, and compiled the mod through the Receiver 1 Source Code Github. There's not many tutorials out right now though, so it's why I recommend visiting the Discord for some good help!
Luft 1 Sep, 2020 @ 8:50pm
I just have a few questions. What all software did you use to make the mods? And do you know any good videos or forum posts that help with learning this kind of thing?
Jackerino  [author] 1 Sep, 2020 @ 6:36pm
What kind of help do you need?
Luft 1 Sep, 2020 @ 6:24pm
Hello, may I ask for a bit of help with making mods for this game?
Plant3r 1 Sep, 2020 @ 1:12am
Awesome work!
MylesJacobSwie 31 Aug, 2020 @ 5:47pm
Definitely an awesome tile set, the two story dynamic is awesome and the roof mounted turrets in some odd places are a great addition, however the loot pools are far too abundant and profitable. It really does draw away from the tension of the game when you can find 10-20 new bullets each room with only 2-3 hostiles. I think if loot was balanced, it would be perfect!
Rabbit 31 Aug, 2020 @ 12:27pm
I also noticed there isn't nearly enough drones, I only find like 1 every 4 games or so. (With only this tile set used)
Miauseph 30 Aug, 2020 @ 11:09am
nice
Cow Obliterated By Train 30 Aug, 2020 @ 8:11am
I'm not sure it's that big of a deal.
Rabbit 30 Aug, 2020 @ 8:06am
I would like to disagree, that area is packed with turrets and it's unfun seeing them not notice your presence in that what would be death trap. I'm not sure if you can overwrite tiles with mods yet, but, maybe it's possible to create a separate mod that replaces that tile?
Jackerino  [author] 30 Aug, 2020 @ 12:14am
Right, but if I did that, then they'd shoot your toes, and that eliminates the purpose of the vent. I could also just remove the vent completely, but then it makes that tile a lot less fun, sadly
Gurren 29 Aug, 2020 @ 10:34pm
Well if you ever did want to rectify it, you could just lift the vent up just enough so that the turrets can see under them. Still a great tileset none the less.
Jackerino  [author] 29 Aug, 2020 @ 10:29pm
@munchiesnOOb no problem, i'm glad to help :)

@Gurren That's a bug with how turrets work sadly, they tend to only care about where your feet is, so if your feet are concealed enough, turrets just can't see you. I decided not to try to address it because it's just fun going through that area, honestly
Gurren 29 Aug, 2020 @ 9:09pm
Just a couple bug reports for you. Some player spawns put you directly in the line of sight of a ceiling turret and you die instantly. Two, In the room with all the ducting the turrets seem to think the ducts are solid because the ones that spawn on the other side just do no shoot at you. Love this new tileset and love the new workshop mods. REALLY hope someone gets a multiplayer mod done up now.
Cow Obliterated By Train 29 Aug, 2020 @ 8:02pm
Ah okay awesome, thank you man!
Jackerino  [author] 29 Aug, 2020 @ 7:55pm
If you press ESC then go to options and scroll down, on the menu on the right, you can see the mod options, where you can configure what mods spawn, which ones are enabled, and more.
Cow Obliterated By Train 29 Aug, 2020 @ 7:44pm
So does this automatically just spawn in as I play after downloading or do I need to turn it on somehow?
JCGemX 29 Aug, 2020 @ 5:52pm
Man I wish you could crawl through some of the ventilation, it would make for some interesting flanks.
