you might wanna move it to yearly pulse or 5year pulse and adjust/increase the output influence cuz on montly pulse can produce a lot of suttering especially on heavily modded game.

Odd, I'll try seeing if there are any conflicting defines or if it just says -1 influence (as it isn't red (loosing))

It think this has nothing to do with 2.8.1 because it's a fairly simple mod (unlikely to break with new game versions) and in my playthroughs the mod works as expected.

I somehow got a -1 base influence, 66k Diplo Weight, is this a glitch with th mod on 2.8.1 or a possible mod conflict (only game where I have more then 50k is the affected one)

According to the Stellaris Wiki:

"Diplomatic Weight is gained from Fleet Power, Economy, Technology and Pops and their Happiness."

So this should also work for purifiers and other non-diplomatic civilizations. I guess it's some internal game value which is always present, even if an empire can't do diplomatic actions anyway.

Personally I would prefer to check against the total victory score but according to console output there is no trigger value for this.

That seems to work well and rewards good usage of Diplomatic Weight. Isn't that painful and punishing for fanatic purifiers and those without diplo weight?

I've decided to use the diplomatic weight to add 5 permanent modifiers (stackable) to an empire.

It turned out it's not possible to get direct access to ingame variables like diplomatic power or victoy score via mods. The only thing I could do was to check the diplomatic weight against fixed values. So I came up with the current solution.

Don't know if it's balanced enough.

We already use this edict and thanks for letting me know how high those numbers can get with Gigastructures.

I'm currently trying to add a permanent empire modifier for influence gain which scales with the total victory score. Might be a better approach to this but I have to figure out how I can do this.

Also, with Gigastructures, 55k is nothing. I'm making that much in a single month with my Alderson Disc with 3 Planetary Computing Slices.

If you're at the gigastructures tier I recommend using the Culture Edict Will to Power. +5 influence per month.

@Dragon of Desire: Well, this mod was a pure snapshot for a friend and myself, because we're playing with Gigastructures (which cost a lot influence to build). We still have to figure out how it will scale with time.

FYI: First level costs 55k research. Each level adds 20k research costs.

Ever consider making it 0.2 each research instead of 1.0 for balance?
