@SimplyFilms
Sadly no.
You can't take the decision or join an elective league as a merchant republic, nor can you change your succession law to Elective League once you convert your tribal league to a merchant republic.
SimplyFilms 24 Apr, 2024 @ 12:53pm
Hey @smartini does this work with merchant republics as well? I'm planning an Amalfi run, and this would be a fun way to conquer Italy literally and economically! Either way this mod seems really cool, thanks for it!
smartini  [author] 30 Sep, 2023 @ 5:09am
Not a dumb question at all!
It's actually quite interesting, since I haven't implemented any special behaviour for those cases AFAIK.

Converting to feudalism only converts yourself and your succession law changes to gavelkind.
You can, however change to Feudal Elective League (just called "Elective League" in the law tab) with the usual succesion law change restriction (reigned for 10 years a.s.o)

In my limited testing, converting to a Merchant Republic converted my vassal-allies to a Merchant Republic as well and made them major houses.

Dumb questions those might be, but still: if i form a tribal league, can i convert to feudalism? Will my vassal-allies convert immediatly? Can i convert to republic and what would happen to my vassal-alies then?

@Dragonxxx
Glad you enjoy the mod :)
I've actually tried to make a ck3 version before and I do plan to make one at some point :ambition:
But right now I can't say when I'll actually get to it.
Dragonxxx 13 Mar, 2022 @ 12:37pm
Hey! I remember using this mod so frequently when playing ck2 and loving it. Are there any plans to make a ck3 version of this? It would be so popular; I can't even imagine. :ambitious_trait::steamthumbsup:
smartini  [author] 13 Mar, 2022 @ 11:42am
@ancientnerd
You have to declare independence through the usual means (faction), so... kind of?
But there are no new special buttons or anything in that regard.
Darth Malgus 13 Mar, 2022 @ 10:21am
can you leave the electorate-league if you want to?
zachary.deca.stl 5 Jan, 2022 @ 8:12pm
leave the launcher open while you subscribe to the mods you want. Then close and reopen the the launcher.
smartini  [author] 10 Dec, 2021 @ 5:09pm
@mars

Sorry to hear about that.
Downloading the mod does work for me.
Is this the only mod you're experiencing this issue with?

The only thing I can say is that I've experienced the same thing before and the following steps seemed to fix it.

-Unsubcribe from this mod
-Delete "elective_leagues_expanded.zip" and "elective_leagues_expanded.mod.mod"
in your "Documents\Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings II\mod" folder
-Resubscribe to the mod
-Start the ck2 launcher (wait maybe a minute)
-Restart the ck2 launcher
-Repeat the those steps a few times

If that didn't fix it, maybe try the following:

I hope I was able to help you.

General MacMonika 6 Nov, 2021 @ 6:26pm
Hello I am an After the End Developer, I was wondering if I could talk to you about your mod?
Lord 29 Jan, 2021 @ 2:31pm
Amaong
super gaufrette au sucre 18 Nov, 2020 @ 4:02am
@Sorjedi To disable it for the Ai, you can just remove the trigger that check if they want to create one in the mod file
smartini  [author] 18 Oct, 2020 @ 4:11am
@Sørjedi
No, sadly you can't disable it for AI. I don't plan on adding that functionality either, sorry.
Glad you like the mod though :)
Denis 18 Oct, 2020 @ 2:19am
Great mod btw
Denis 17 Oct, 2020 @ 7:41pm
Can we disable it for AI(ai)
OSST 11 Sep, 2020 @ 11:10pm
working now thnx
smartini  [author] 11 Sep, 2020 @ 6:27pm
@ALF
It's supposed to be available if you're anything lower than emperor, landed, independent, an adult, not in a revolt and feudal or tribal.
So yes, pretty much most of the time. Have you tried another ruler to see if it works?
OSST 11 Sep, 2020 @ 5:40pm
does the decision become visible in the intrigue menu upon game start. i cant get the mod to work
smartini  [author] 3 Sep, 2020 @ 11:30am
Yes, it should be possible to form an Elective League with 1 ally, as long as that ally is a Player. :)
Seems like I forgot to add that to the description :steamfacepalm:
nzeem 3 Sep, 2020 @ 10:37am
Is it possible to form an elective league with just 1 ally? I want to play with a friend, but we don't want no AIs :steamfacepalm:
smartini  [author] 31 Aug, 2020 @ 3:49pm
But I like the new icon.
It doesn't replace any old icons either.
And if there's not way to do it otherwise, how is it unnecessary?
TurtleShroom 31 Aug, 2020 @ 3:44pm
Just reuse an icon. There is never a need to perform an unnecessary overwrite. Ever!
smartini  [author] 31 Aug, 2020 @ 3:33pm
@TurtleShroom Well I partially did that. The icon is also stored in a seperate file but it didn't work unless I added it to the original elder_stances as well. So I did that, which probably replaces the original elder_stances.dds. It doesn't mess with any old Elder Stances, just the icons. Other mods that add new stances should work, the icons will probably not though.
If you do know how to incorporate the new Elder Stances Icons without messing with that file directly, please tell me :)
TurtleShroom 31 Aug, 2020 @ 2:24pm
Why not create a new file instead of overwriting the Elder Stances?
smartini  [author] 29 Aug, 2020 @ 7:47pm
@INGAULD
Yeah alright I'll see if I can make it more difficult.
Right now it's friends, close relatives and NAPs for AI.
I'll lower it to only NAPs tomorrow
INGAULD 29 Aug, 2020 @ 10:34am
I have played some hours with it and HIP and looks pretty compatible, so good news! But I have seen 3 mayor leagues/coalitions in the first decades of my playthrough; between the Kingdoms of France, Navarre and Burgundy, some Armenian and Georgian kingdoms and slav duchies. Maybe the AI should have a little more strict requirements (real alliances or better opinion between them). Anyway, it is funny to see the "Gaul Coalition" against the Holy Roman Empire. Totally recommend this mod. Should try it on shattered playthrough.
kooldaddy722 28 Aug, 2020 @ 6:40pm
Works with After The End
smartini  [author] 28 Aug, 2020 @ 12:52pm
@memelord
Seems like it.
Don't blame me if you run into issues though :D
Doesn't work with ateow though
memelord 28 Aug, 2020 @ 12:29pm
dose this work with ateff
The Regent 28 Aug, 2020 @ 11:55am
Thanks for the reply. Yeah good idea!
smartini  [author] 28 Aug, 2020 @ 5:52am
@Marst No. It's a standalone. I'll add that info to the description :)
The Regent 28 Aug, 2020 @ 4:05am
Do we need to run this mod at the same time as the one it's based upon?
smartini  [author] 28 Aug, 2020 @ 3:55am
@INGAULD yes, the AI will trigger events that will make them form elective leagues.
Should be fairly rare though, even though it's a bit easier for them (they don't need full alliances, just non-aggression pacts because AI is stoop)
Tested it with ck2+ right now and doesn't seem to work
HIP DOES work (surprisingly) but no guarantees :)
Chitose 27 Aug, 2020 @ 6:20pm
@smartini I really want but this could harm sleep time of your friends. So thanks :2018bestcoffee:
INGAULD 27 Aug, 2020 @ 5:58pm
Does it have compatibility issues with overhaul Mods like HIP or CK2+? Can the AI trigger those events? Congratulations for your mod. :steamhappy:
smartini  [author] 27 Aug, 2020 @ 3:27pm
@Chitose
It's certainly possible but I don't know how I would integrate that into the current mod.
I could make a seperate one if youreally want to be able to do that.
Chitose 27 Aug, 2020 @ 10:27am
Ah I remember this nice mod.
Is it possible founding a league in form of co-founders as tributaries and the leader as suzerain? It could be more realistic.
AlmightyChaos 27 Aug, 2020 @ 9:59am
This is a bad mod. Do you know why? Because its made by my friend, and I was 'forced' to test it whilst half asleep. Goddamnit I just want my sleep.
smartini  [author] 27 Aug, 2020 @ 9:36am
While certainly a nice idea, I don't think ck2 is able to do that.
Even if it was, I'm certainly not able to make that and it's somewhat out of the intended scope of the mod. Thanks for the suggestion :steamhappy:
Teoctlamazqui 27 Aug, 2020 @ 8:53am
You should take a book out of stellaris and expand this mod to make different types of alliances like a slavery one or like one based on sole conquest with events tied to it.maybe even one where one becomes the senate.
