Unsure if this is a bug or an intended feature but Grand Invasion CBs called against a non-king title like a kingdom's rebels or an independent de jure member of that kingdom leads to you usurping the whole kingdom from the realm that you weren't at war with.

Ex: Declare war on Kadeyarajid revolt with Grand Invasion cb, wins, ends up taking all of Kadevarajid kingdom.

@CherriTomato it doesn’t work with multiplayer and I don’t have the slightest idea as to why since it works fine in single player, I don’t usually play much ck2 multiplayer because even un modded multiplayer has been rather unstable in my experiences. But if anyway wants to help troubleshoot why multiplayer doesn’t work that would be great. There is an older random world only version of this map available via direct download, and my Mercator projection random world Mars map on Steam that do work in multiplayer.

@Erik thank you! It was fun to make, I released the first version one day before ck3 came out, and the mod has come a long way in improving since then!

@last regent of han that decision for Byzantium should have the description updated so that they need to take the capital of Alba or Valles Mareneris to restore the old greater Olympian Empire

@Conquistador if you have a good congenial trait like genius or strong, if you have very high martial, if you have the spacer physiology or heavy worlder trait, or if you are celestial culture or spacer religion it increases the likelihood of successfully bonding with the Mech by a lot.

I haven't been able to try this in multiplayer, crashes the moment I try to create a lobby. So I want to know if this is known. And/or I should wait for it.

Does anything impact the likeliness of bonding with a mech? I've scrapped the past 4 mechs I've gotten my hands on since I failed to bond with them every time.

Where is constantinople? In the game, King of Olympus Mons has a decision to restore Byzantium, but there is no count of byzantion which is condition of the decision.

@darkemperor 1761 Provinces, a bit less than 300 independent nations at start. Some areas are very shattered at the county or duchy and others are more united at the kingdom level or multi-kingdom.

@james many things including a much greater variety of features for heresies, cleaned up and re-enabled the trade routes, decisions that you don't have the building prerequistites for are hidden, new decisions, new events, cadet dynasties, and new nicknames. @skylerpv Now it is possible to get cybernetic limbs and specific implants with the new update that just came out. You can buy them from the offmap empire if you have Jade Dragon, or steal them from prisoners if you have a Cywizard in your court. If you get a large amount of prestige or special traits like mystic you will get a decision to invite a Cywizard to your court if you are unable to invite one earlier through the character finder or random events. Since the infrastructure to create new full cybernetic conversions is not available on Mars or the remaining Space Ship, the only way to become a Cywizard is to steal the body of a Cywizard which is a bit more involved.

is it possible to become a cywizard or get cybernetic limbs? I cant seem to figure out how to get them, yet I see rulers with them

Other dev said buffing and adding more features to the mechs is next on their to-do list. But yeah they will remain expensive no matter what, just trying to find the right balance of how expensive vs how OP

Those were added by the other dev, but it looks like those buildings with the -5% income are only for the Spacers and nearby cultures, and that there are additional buildings to offset the negative % and make it positive again so it is only temporary.

The Mechs are very expensive to own because the infrastructure to maintain them on Mars is very bad and nearly non-existent. They have special battle events which provide additional bonuses per battle in addition to the blanket %s that owning the mech adds. If you find them not to be powerful enough even with the battle events let us know and we will buff them, they are meant to be OP but also have huge monetary pentalties to own and use given the lack of advanced infrastructure in the setting.

I'm wondering about the province buildings that increase income by +2.00 gold but add -5% national income, at that rate if you bought 20 of them you'd reduce your total gold income to zero.
Also been wondering about the common mech artifact which halves national income for a 20% boost to one or two combat stats, that seems lopsided as well.

@Kauchaus69 it is fixed now on the GitHub version, all kingdoms and empires with only one county are now removed. Not ready to update steam yet though because there are many new features that need more testing first

@kauchaus69 If you were instead wondering about the many small independent titular “empires” near the middle-left of the map, those are shattered nomads, independent nomads are hard-coded to be emperor level. They are mentioned in one of the start up prompts as not being much of a threat to the West due to being stuck squabbling amongst themselves, but could become an unstoppable horde if ever united.

There are a small number of unformed de jure one province kingdom and empire titles at start, but not many as far as I know. I will look into getting rid of most of them and absorbing them into adjacent kingdoms and empires in a future update. Might keep a few, similar to how Venice is a one county kingdom in vanilla. You still need two duchies to form a kingdom or two kingdoms to form an empire, so it’s not like they can go independent by forming the title unless they are already pretty powerful.

It was an oversight from when the mod history files were first generated, that I hadn’t focused on fixing because it offered additional drama that could ensue with vassals if you let them get too powerful while holding a key province like that before mid game when they usually have their de jure absorbed into the larger adjacent kingdoms/empires.

@junggalli9 hopefully someday, though I don’t personally plan to until something like ck3MapTools comes out (anyone is welcome to try though, I can provide higher res images of the same projection). If no one makes the tool until ck3 is nearing the end of it’s dev cycle I will probably make it myself. I probably won’t get much into ck3 modding until further on in the development cycle, unless it turns out that each dlc release does not majorly break mods like in ck2.

I might start some smaller Sci fi modules earlier that add select features from COTC that I ported to Middle Mars, using the off map empire mod to justify bringing the Spacers in as the explanation for why cloning and cybernetics can suddenly exist on the vanilla or other ck3 maps.

@emily_keim it probably is compatible with ck2 plus because all of the religions and cultures have vanilla names in the code. That sounds like a good idea so I will try on my next play through. Let me know if you have already tried and if it crashed.

Combat tactics should be fixed now, and the "nobuilding" decisions should be gone now, thank you! Including the vanilla titles is an easy fix for many issues with the unfortunate side effect of some of them being formed by late game, the in-game explanation so far has just been that the rulers that form these have read ancient texts that mentioned these ancient kingdoms, so they were trying to decide where the kingdoms were located, and where they pop up was their best guess (not realizing that the kingdom/region was never geographically on Mars).

This is a really cool mod, but I'm having a problem with combat. The only tactic used, besides pursue, is the generic skirmish tactic for both offense and defense. Other than that there's just a few decisions that require "nobuilding" and titles from medieval Europe that probably shouldn't be able to be created

Had two playthrough on this map, really enjoy the setting, you should implement custom cultures and religions even if you dont have any events ready, would help a lot with immersion, for now its fun to play with headcanon, Great Job thanks!

What I did to fix it on Steam is just unsubscribed from it then loaded up CK2 looked at mods and scrolled to the bottom then clicked subscribe and let it download then reopened CK2 and it was there.
