You think you can do Mr. X and Nemesis as Unique Enemies?
KingTiger78 3 Sep, 2020 @ 3:11pm
Well great my Nightmares from Mass Effect shall repeat :lunar2019piginablanket:

But seriously great looking mod and I'll have to jump into Xcom 2 again to try it

I'm a filthy purist that doesn't use Mass Effect mods in XCom but as a huge fan of both, this is incredible work mate, outstanding

@RJC9000
Good ideas! Yes, I recognize that this isn't a perfect 1-to-1 match of the original praetorian. This is what we could offer for now and maybe one day further enhancements.

@Spunkn
Thank you, I agree!

@Jill Sandwich
haha appreciate it. Yes, I will make a replacer mod at some point, however not just yet if that's ok!
Hopefully more to come in the future.

I love adding more ME enemies to fight, although it's a bit strange to not fight a space crab with ME3MP BS (butt lasers that go through walls, bubble of denial, staggering melee with near instant sync kill, and magnet claws).

One idea I was wondering about was giving the space crab a chance to be possessed by Reapers (ie, glowy like Harbinger's assuming direct control). The possession would give the crab more HP/armor/a rocket attack (in ME3MP, posessed spacecrabs would gain an attack that fires seeking missiles at you).

The possession could be a second phase in the vein of Andromedons, or giving space crabs a random chance to get possessed at the start of finding XCOM.

These are amazing, each new Mass Effect creation gets me reexcited for Xcom 2 and has provided me with so many hours of Xcom fun.
Jill Sandwich 29 Aug, 2020 @ 9:40am
omfg, this is pure brilliance! thank you guys so much for bringing this iconic badass reaper enemy into the game. :D

btw will you make a replacer mod for the regular chryssalids? ( keep the unique features like large size to burst thru walls, also with loot drops in normalize loot mod. )

cheers man, all the suggestions from community members are awesome, can't wait to see what enemies you make next!
tastiger841 29 Aug, 2020 @ 8:03am
Sure, also big thanks to Master Cavily :steamhappy:

@tastiger841
Maybe one day, but this is what I have to offer for now :)
tastiger841 29 Aug, 2020 @ 6:52am
Is it possible to make it like the gatekeeper, which floats and has the beam attack?
NightNinja54  [author] 29 Aug, 2020 @ 6:26am
@SolarNougat
I can see it - mechanical/bio hybrid

@VertigoJockey
Thank you for the feedback and additional ideas! I hope to continue implementing these enemies. In regards to its health - you are welcome to customize the enemy to your liking within the customization configs.

@The Magic DEUUEAUGH
Yes, I will add them to the reaper raider faction and reaper forces sitrep at some point.

@kojak, @Anarky, @Omnipotent Orreo
Thank you :)
SolarNougat 29 Aug, 2020 @ 5:03am
reminds me of a Floater.
Omnipotent Orreo 29 Aug, 2020 @ 1:11am
Nice one! Time to relive my ME2 nightmares
VertigoJockey 29 Aug, 2020 @ 12:55am
On one hand, no laser eyes of death. On the other its much faster...

I'm going to be a terrible person though and say this thing needs a bit more health to fill the Miniboss niche.

Also a few suggestions that pretty much popped into my head after seeing this mod:

Banshee - uses Faceless skeleton and animations. It makes sense due to the size of the body and the proportions. Maybe kludge together some sort of ranged attack using the Asari Biotic Enemy mod and have it use the Faceless' pointing animation.

Scion - Uses the Muton Skeleton and animations - feels like the right size. Grenade attack also uses its weapon animation. Considering it's not quite as tough as the Brute or Praetorian it makes sense.

Cannibal - Same as the above but smaller and squishier.

Brute - Berserker Equivalent.

Possessed Collector Captain/Harbringer - Avatar Equivalent possibly? Change color of attacks from purple to yellow?
The Magic Conch 29 Aug, 2020 @ 12:13am
Oh Damn! Will this enemy be included in your raider faction mods?
Anarky 28 Aug, 2020 @ 9:09pm
Incredible job. Well done
kojak 28 Aug, 2020 @ 8:43pm
Whoa, awesome. Good job dude.
