I also got sick and tired of Brighter Portraits 3 constantly being remove so I uploaded my own copy and that one is final and will stay online and will be kept up to date.

Wondering the same thing. It comes and goes, it's been hidden and unhidden so many times, it's crazy and you never know when it'll be avaliable. Wish Steam wouldn't delete the files if a mod is removed or hidden, gets tiresome.

Or use the version that is already updated as of 1.5 but still working in 1.6.

Yeah... not sure why Brighter Portraits II was removed but I seriously hate the dark portraits in the game. II worked fine in 1.5 but this one doesn't.

I don't care at all for the weird orange skin tint that this mod applies to most of the humans in the game.

@UpOneLevel and it's common sense to have basic courtesy as no modder is required to do anything for you, this is a hobby not job for them.

the mod still works for me... just make sure the game doesn't automatically turn it off since it recognizes it as "out dated".

@Up0neLevel - I see that your rude and annoying behavior towards modders isn't limited to just one mod. How exactly do you feel so entitled, when you are using a free mod that someone is working on because they are talented and are willing to work on it without pay. If every user was like you, modders would probably stop making them. Why do they need the abuse?

If you are having problems getting this mod to work copy the mod files from this one, create a new mod, and paste the files from this one into the new mod's folder and it will work fine.

Open this mod file,modify the same game file as the mod file according to the mod file parameters,it works,sorry my poor english.

1.1 made the potraits brighter, but they are still too dark imo. The mod is still important.

It was working and then Paradox pushed through yet another patch to 1.1.2 this morning.
I wish the game developers would give modders more of a heads up.

I could have sworn this mod was working just yesterday, but now it says it's only working for 1.1? And it was just updated, too. Odd.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but despite Paradox's fix list, the portraits still look horrible and dull. Since using your Mod it's hard to go back to not using it, but it doesn't seem to work yet under 1.1.1. Unless I'm mistaken?
