Havent tried tbh.. ^^'
Kakk, Lord des Haufens 4 May @ 2:33am
can i just switch to the new version of the mod and remove the old with blocks staying in place?
Kalibr 21 Jun, 2024 @ 3:44pm
Seconding Herr Doktor's comment, I love the double sided LCDs but find it distracting that one side of the corner piece is visibly dirty. The mod is quite excellent though, thanks for the work you've put in!
Kuvat  [author] 9 May, 2024 @ 11:27pm
yeeah, have to make an extra material for that more 2-4k version
Herr Doktor 9 May, 2024 @ 10:36pm
Someone had mentioned non-LCD type blocks since these would be good for windows. If you do end up doing that, can the glass be cleaner? Even if it's slightly opaque to show that there is glass there. All the dirt and smudges on the LCD's currently really stick out when trying to do very clean looking builds. And with any sort of texture, the repetitiveness of the grime sticks out like a sore thumb.
mattynipps 13 Apr, 2024 @ 8:01am
When creating windows using the non LCD function pieces, I cannot see the rotation location of the clear glass piece to place? Am I missing something, probably ;-)
pryde64 11 Apr, 2024 @ 9:25pm
these are fantastic what a great idea well done
Viper 11 Apr, 2024 @ 12:24am
great mod!
Palpatine 9 Mar, 2024 @ 9:29pm
Yeah what Herr Doktor said, I came here to say that.
Kuvat  [author] 5 Mar, 2024 @ 2:17am
Will be in the future, but needs time
Herr Doktor 5 Mar, 2024 @ 1:27am
Would it be possible to update the mod to fix all the mod errors? 21 in all due to incorrect file paths on the cubeblocks.sbc. Doesn't seem to be breaking anything, but from a server owner perspective any mod errors I can clear out of my view the better.
Kuvat  [author] 18 Feb, 2024 @ 2:17pm
yeah, should be no problem. I will upload them next update :)
Dark 18 Feb, 2024 @ 3:41am
Hi,
Would it be possible to make a version without the LCD function? this is for a question of saving PCU resources, unless putting them offline does not affect the PCU. Thank you for your work, it’s great!
Tiberius 22 Dec, 2023 @ 6:55am
Please update the mod so that the blocks are paintable.
Kuvat  [author] 30 Sep, 2023 @ 8:11am
uuuhm, ok O.o hadnt the problem
will soon take a look
currently i have much to do
Max_ 30 Sep, 2023 @ 7:32am
I couldn’t exactly tell you, but I noticed every time I got out the new ‘hologram block’ it crashed the game, I don’t know why but the moment I uninstalled this mod it worked! (Which is a shame because I love the look of this mod!)
Kuvat  [author] 4 Sep, 2023 @ 8:55am
hey, what problems do you have with the LCDs? they seem to work fine for me
Kuvat  [author] 2 Sep, 2023 @ 2:06am
aaaah, damn... ok thank you!
Max_ 1 Sep, 2023 @ 1:42am
This conflicts on the newest version of Space engineers with the holographic LCD block, might be worth having a look into!
CyberFoxx 31 Jan, 2023 @ 7:07am
Really love these, but a fix to them losing skins would be nice.
tlc09387 21 Jan, 2023 @ 11:06pm
If you ever get the chance, I was wondering if you'd consider using the same models, but making them simply windows. The model is awesome, and fit many of my builds, but it tends to get expensive and time consuming to clear the displays.
Tiberius 2 Nov, 2022 @ 11:11am
Just when ever you are able. No rush. Just figured you'd want to know.
Kuvat  [author] 2 Nov, 2022 @ 10:41am
Jup, I saw it. caused by the old SEUT export. and have to overdo the models too. But I have not that much time to work on
Tiberius 2 Nov, 2022 @ 8:30am
Could you please update the mod. It has issues being painted and with textures.
Kuvat  [author] 2 Oct, 2022 @ 5:27am
You're welcome :'D
Fury 1 Oct, 2022 @ 6:08pm
My pleasure. Thanks for the cool radar screen! :D
Kuvat  [author] 1 Oct, 2022 @ 12:17pm
That's true, I even didnt knew that some scripts use the orientation, but makes sence :'D for the next models I will remember xD
Thank you for that!
Fury 1 Oct, 2022 @ 11:41am
I think I get it. Even if you change how the axes are defined, there's no universally "correct" way to define them? That's true, but the real goal is consistency.

Vanilla LCDs had one convention. Face the screen, the "right" of the block is your right, the "up" is your up, and "forward" is into the screen:
https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2870012689

You're pretty consistent with your own convention:
https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2870012722

Only the two sided blocks are different:
https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2870012668

Not all mods follow vanilla, and even vanilla isn't entirely consistent:
https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2870012711

If you decide to fix it I suggest matching the basic vanilla LCDs, since those are the original examples. If not then I wouldn't worry about it, all this is just something to think about next time you make a block. *shrug*
Kuvat  [author] 1 Oct, 2022 @ 7:03am
Yeah, ok, but the problem is that every Block can be placed individual for any form the player want to have, so to define the "right" position is very hard, if not impossible
Fury 30 Sep, 2022 @ 8:47pm
In the case of this script, no. Rather than identify LCDs by name the script uses relative position. You label an LCD to be the top left corner of the display, and then it looks for more LCDs that are to the right or down from that LCD until it's the size you specified. The problem is that it determines which directions are "down" and "right" based on the orientation of that first LCD. I was using the double sided edgeless wall, so it thought that left was right and I ended up with what you saw.

I fixed it for myself by editing the script to look left instead of right. It only works for double sided edgeless LCD walls now, but it still looks awesome:

Kuvat  [author] 30 Sep, 2022 @ 6:27am
hmmm, the problem is that they are made with an older Blenderversion, maybe I can "fix" it. But other question, cant you rename the LCD blocks so the script can orientate it right?
Fury 29 Sep, 2022 @ 11:07pm
I was setting up a bridge with these when I ran across a small bug. The orientation of the LCD walls doesn't match the orientation of the vanilla LCD, and the various types of wall are inconsistent with each other. You can see what I'm talking about if you turn grid pivot on and place blocks individually:
https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2869347464

This doesn't matter at all for most purposes, but I was trying to create a big radar display on multiple screens and the script (Whip's Turret Radar) got confused because it looked at the LCD orientations and thought that right was left. It ended up looking like this:
https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2869347459

I haven't created blocks, so I'm not sure how much work it would take to change this but I figured I'd point it out.

Hey, neat mod, wondering if its possible to make the multi-axis panels with a version that has individual screens ? like multi-display blocks, would be neat for viewing stuff like ship cross sections etc
Kuvat  [author] 20 Jan, 2022 @ 1:14pm
I dont know, it works like a normal LCD, so if it is possible with a LCD it should be possible.
Drakray 20 Jan, 2022 @ 12:36pm
Hi there, quick question about LCDWall TwoSided:
Is it possible to take 1 image, and puzzle it in multiple LCD, like 2x3, or 3x3?
Maybe there is a script or a control for that?
Kuvat  [author] 25 Dec, 2021 @ 5:28pm
maybe a bug, I have to reexport all the models anyway, so maybe after that it will be fixed
Battlemage 24 Dec, 2021 @ 11:32am
Ok I'm not sure if this is a bug with the mod, or if it's something on my end, but every time I have an image cycle on the display, it reverts the skin back to default. Both screens in this screenshot have the same color and neon colorable lights skin, but for some reason the images cause it to dump the skin - https://prnt.sc/24dkajm
Kuvat  [author] 24 Aug, 2021 @ 12:20pm
interessting, I dont think I can do s.th. against that ^^
multidisplaying is a nice Idea i never thought about, ill take a look at what I can do (scripting isnt mine) ^^
But dont know when I have time, cause I am on an other project
Nozo.tv 24 Aug, 2021 @ 9:11am
Using the double sided block for artificial horizont flips the orientation on the back viewport of the block. see the image: https://pasteboard.co/Khogs2a.png
also when the viewport on the block is rotated, the artificial horizont turns to a wrong direction.

i am not sure if you are able to do anything about that inside the modded blocks or if this is just Space engineers doing its thing.

also nice would be to have all blocks double sided and it as multidisplay so you can configure if you want to have whatever shown on one side or both sides and even have different things on different sides.
Kuvat  [author] 29 May, 2021 @ 12:31pm
Thank you, with pleasure
[⦿] Kauz 29 May, 2021 @ 4:51am
This is great mode, man!
My smallblock warhammer cruiser uses these as windows and they are just irreplaceable, thank you for your work, and have an award!
Zyrixion 10 Dec, 2020 @ 6:09am
@Kuvat Yes, I know, being airtight IS the problem. They cause suffocation and block airflow in the right arrangement. <_<
Kuvat  [author] 10 Dec, 2020 @ 4:07am
they should be all airtight, except the LCD Console Blocks
Zyrixion 10 Dec, 2020 @ 3:53am
Any chance you can separate these into airtight and non-airtight variants? I'm suffocating randomly walking by LCD walls because they're sealing off the oxygen in areas.
Kuvat  [author] 4 Dec, 2020 @ 3:15am
Aaaah thank you for the note! Should be fixed now
Abreuvoir 3 Dec, 2020 @ 2:42pm
I love those screens, I wanted to use them as cockpit windows, but the Armored Corner LCD is not airtight in small grids :(
Kuvat  [author] 1 Dec, 2020 @ 3:52am
I just named em slope
Kuvat  [author] 1 Dec, 2020 @ 3:51am
isnt it in the doublesided one? like in the last picture
Cynical Nerdist 1 Dec, 2020 @ 3:10am
i mean for both grids. there arent any diagonal LCDs in this pack unless i somehow missed them.
