Rivendell wasn't a place of learning like a univeristy. It was a place of knowledge. Basically, it stored the history of the Elves and Numenorians from the 1st and 2nd age.
"Rivendell is a place of peace and learning". Seeing as this place houses beings that are as old as 5,000 years and houses artifacts of both science and culture, it would be fit to add a scientific and cultural boost. Nontheless, always great to see all the modifications for this game.
