If you do not have plans to do so, would it be alright for me to do so, crediting you for all works?
1) concerning sword there is mod called 'The Duchess': https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/workshop/filedetails/?id=1744414212 , you could borrow some elements from it. Here is my concept: sword's hilt can have colour like duchess's helm or rusty (in order to give it bit 'decayed' appearence), vampire's eye must be left untouched, original skin element (between blade and hilt) could be returned but darker. Also it would be nice to return original sword's blade but make it darker and give red glowing effect like the duchess's sword has or just cover it with blood;
2) additionally you could improve helmet, in order to give it original appearance like in 'TBC' by adding scars (on visor and breathing gaps) and make little spikes on helmet's peak (see my link on 'Battle Scarred Helm').
@Strider1207: thank you for suggesting the recolour, i'm really liking how the crusader is looking myself :)
if not have you thought of doing a similar thing for COM like idk corrupted shard merc characters?
kinda wish red hook gave us a official COM character like they did with the flagg, but yeah i thought it would be pretty cool to see
While making the skin i tried out a few different ideas on how to make the crusader more monsterous, but ended up scrapping most of them. I went with this more subtle design because i liked the idea that the things unspoken sometimes be quite scary as well. At first glance, he looks quite ordinary, but his grotesque tools (a sword made out of the nose of a vampire, both sword and banner decorated with vampire eyes) lead to the realization that this normality is just a front. Under the helmet he's just as ugly as the other vampires, but clings to some semblance of justice by hunting them down (or is it just cruel revenge for getting infected?).
I'm planning to do a shrew-like design for the plague doctor, which should be interesting! I think she has the potential to be one of the more visually unsettling characters since i can actually give her a long mosquito nose without breaking model. Its a really weird thing to get excited about lol
