i just wanna be marine...
there is nothing I've seen with the new file that indicates it doesn't work in ea26
it should now be ea26 friendly, and might run better but i have no idea if that part's true
the reason im asking is because im a huge halo lore nerd and ive been looking for a way to replicate the true horror of the covenant and i think these ravenfield mods will help me do it! you don't really understand how terrifiying the covenant are when you play the games because you are seeing them from the perspective of a literal god amongst men.
to give you some idea the average grunt stood over 5'6 ft (which is the average height for a human male) and were built like gorrilas, although they lacked tactics when provoked the average grunt was strong enough to tear a fully grown human male in half with just its bare hands.
and they are considered the weakest species in the covenant :(
the elites are basicly raptor samurais
given though that i thought i trimmed out the spawn-shouts, the thing i wonder about is if there'd be a much more efficient way of handling sound sources then putting them in every single bot, because just having those around probably isn't doing anything any favors performance wise
as for multiskin, it's a thing i've got to basically relearn because apparently a few days after i last touched this steel added better support for multiskin stuff and a ton of things have been added to ravenscript so there's a lot i need to poke at later
i've learned a few things recently that have made me wonder about how i'd approach this differently if i had to do it again, as the way i've done it runs into a number of walls including that on-spawn stutter
the chief thing that comes to mind is how RF has a certain limit to how many sounds can play at once, that being 32 i believe, and how given the bots scream on getting it that limit's constantly being pushed at like all times
