(2) i didn't find the level particularly hard but frustrating in a really bad way. about the spawn kills, they are a problem throughout the whole campaign cuz they dont make the levels harder, being little more than a waste of enemies or a full combo enabler, depending on how much time you've been playing the campaign.
overall it's fine gameplay wise and superb visually, i enjoyed it

sky high and arrival are peak both visually and gameplay wise, get out is stunning visually but i don't like the use of the mp5 perk as it's wasted on a really easy first floor, the same applies to dead stock. makes me question why am i given the perk if it's not going to last more than one floor and said floor won't engage with the strengths and limitations that come with the perk in question.
i didn't like daydream and pilferage but thats due to my personal distaste for corey and alex n ash gameplay so i wont criticize much about those two levels. dead stock, however, i find really bad not only due to mark's perk being wasted but also due to the many spawn kills the level has and how open the areas of the level are (1)

i hate that every time a new floor cames always there are like 6 enemys attacking you from 4 different directions :steamthumbsdown:

Okay the Sky High level is the only one I can't beat. I reached to the boss floor(maybe?) with a SMG, a katana guy on the left chasing me, on the right keep spawning enemies with knife/gun and big guys, move to the two right doors will get me killed immediately.
Level 1 is nice, many places I have to use space dodge to cross the gunfire.

I've got mixed feelings about this. Since there's a character limit, I'll list my thoughts:

-Visuals were gorgeous. Levels looked stunning thanks to the custom tiles, walls, and effects.
-Character/enemy sprites were great. They had a few bugs (like the pink enemy in the last level), but they held up well.
-Factions and player characters felt unique. I like how you added more guns into for some enemy groups. It made them seem special.
-Almost all floors began with enemies attacking you. This got old very fast.
-Making players waste Bloodline to kill dodgers on floor 1 is unsatisfying.
-The plot was disjointed and confusing. I'm not sure what happened in it. It would've been more compelling if the stories tied together.
-I couldn't find a way around Get Out's boss aside from wasting his ammo. Was there another solution?

This was an interesting campaign, but I have no desire to play it again. It was challenging, but it wasn't very enjoyable.

Y'know you were on the right track making Bloodline the mask for Get Out. It'd be really useful if you didn't make me fucking waste it on the first floor dumbass

also not to mention most of the levels looked like Miami Menace levels but with the saturation turned down, also level 3 is the absolute worst level in the entire campaign due to how open and just unfair the sightlines can be. I don't hate offscreen enemies, but with the guns at your disposal at the start and the terrible beginning of the second floor with 2 dogs coming after you just doesn't make any of it fun to get through, the entire campaign feels like this, it's a slog.

finally beat it, gotta say that it was super meh and at a lot of times it felt like you didn't have playtesters. The levels weren't hard or unfair it just felt like you were trying way to hard to make levels difficult, that way being putting a gunner or a special enemy at the start of a floor so the player has 1 picosecond to react, and then the rest of the level is only hard just because the player knows if they die then they have to go through that again, it's simply not fun. The levels themselves weren't really anything special other than them just being way too open and in several cases, straight up just not fun. The last level really should have just been the entire campaign since the visuals there were a lot more interesting compared to the first 5, where they have fine visuals but I just got so bored looking at them, which again wouldn't be a problem if the gameplay flow wasn't as bad as it was. I wanted to stop playing by level 2.

The maps are pretty sadistic in terms of their design, tho I do appreciate that they were fullcomboable, music and sprites were nice, good job on that one, story is a bit edgy at best but that's ok I am here for the levels

(2/2) Red, I'd really like to be constructive but in this case it feels like you did this intentionally. I'm disappointed in you Redstone, you have a good track record but this just isn't a good campaign, I'm sure you can learn from this. I have found very little to enjoy in After Storm, the level design is not fun, the story is close to not being absent but it may as well be, the music isn't that good, the writing bores, and I can't say enough the level design feels flatout sadistic. I'm not going to finish this campaign anytime soon.

This campaign sucks. I got to Get Out and then followed the title's advice so I haven't seen all of it but I don't trust it enough to keep going. So far, the levels are 100% unrelated, one of the playable characters is an anarchist furry, every level is unforgiving and multiple times you will have a floor transition that is directly in front of an enemy. The level design is giant and open, Get Out is the worst at this, you have the Mark/Bloodline mask and in the first floor there are two dodgers and only like 4 other people so you just have to waste your mags while being chased and run to a melee as fast as you can, and once you do get to the next floor you are greeted with two dogs and a melee dude and my dumbass brought a revolver so I just had to click as fast as I could and hope they died. This happens yet again on the next floor but this time your in earshot range of a shotgun guy and a machine gun guy AND you're in view of a shotgun guy from across the map.(1/2)

The aesthetics in this campaign are really creative and unique, Arrival and Sky High being the best ones in terms of creativity and theme. I think generally the level design is good and has challenge, but if I were to nitpick a bit, none of them felt exhilarating or particularly engaging. Also a reminder to never use Mark as a character you have to play beyond one floor again, because of the bad pickup system.

This was great Red, continue making the good shit.

Although this feels a bit assholish to admit, I hadn't fully liked anything you'd put out until now. But that means that you have gotten better, and despite some flaws here and there, shows the great dedication that you've put into this. You've managed to carve out your own recognizable style, which imbues your levels with a lot of charm

Id like to add that theres a lot of refreshing variety packed in a 6 level campaign, which I wish more creators were inclined to do

I absolutely adore your maps. The sprites and custom textures (especially on the pyrocynical ones) are so expertly made. I can't imagine the time and effort that must go into making this crud.
