I encounter the same issue in the 4th mission with the medevac task as reported by dodger6118 and ironbostik. Seems the mission is no longer maintained?

I have an issue with 4th mission...I always fail the MEDEVAC objective and thus the mission. Is it bugged or it's just that I am not fast enough? (Although I don't know how to be faster than that...)

Anyone else have a problem with mission 3 Shuttle Shuffle? After I did the 3rd landing on the destroyer where you then get tasked to clear the deck of the oil rig of hostiles and medevac the 2 Marines, no hostiles appeared. I landed and opened the doors and sat there for 2 minutes and nothing happened.

Overall the campaign is pretty good, highlighting the support capacities of the AV-42. Although some features feel missed, like ARAD and anti armor capabilities.

In the mission where you're attacking the airfield, there's a boat at the very end of the mission that's nigh invincible. Until it dies by from the surrounding ships, I’m just sitting there for about 2-3 minutes as all other objectives were already done

I think the last mission is a missed opportunity for AGM-188 and for anti ship operations in general. Otherwise the mission feels like a waste, you spent the entire time doing ferry and CAS missions only to suddenly care about Air Superiority, in a craft that wasn't really all about dog fighting. And with 70 aircraft to shoot down to boot, it just feels like a real slog and a cheap way to add just one more mission. A combined arms scenario between air and ships would've been cooler.

Spectacular scenario! Took me all the way from ferrying crews and cargo to dog fighting. I'm feeling very confident with this aircraft now and really hoping I can find one as good for the other two aircraft. Thanks for taking the time to create this.

Also loving this campaign. Good level of challenge without being overly difficult (if you're good at vertical landings on small boats that is).

I had the same problem with Mission 8 with the Marine team not boarding (also used Save game so there must be a bug with that). Plus the very first objective was to wait to take off, and didn't register as complete after the siren sounded so I just kept waiting on deck for the longest time. Finally decided to take off anyway and then it registered as complete.

What a campaign! Thanks heaps for this one mate! I stumbled upon the invincible boat as well but the comments bellow put me on the right track and I finished the campaign hoping it would not end! AV-42C is my favourite flying mini-van but I'd fly something else to see the campaign from another point of view. Cheers!

yes the cities was a mistake, i would need to learn the scaling better, i did learn this a bit on the f45 campaign, but i stopped mid testing in the summer to play other things, will have another go once bored of cyberpunk probs

I finished the campaign !
My issue with mission 8 was apparently only due to quick save/reload/restart mission.

Doing it with freshly restarted VTOL VR and no save was flawless.

Thanks for the nice details on the scenarios !
My only advice would be faster to load maps: maybe reducing a bit the area of the huge cities ?

Mission 8 seem unfinishable, when I go back to the boat to pick the Marines team, the objective complete but noone enter my aircraft ? Then next objective is to drop 8/8 of them at the oil rig, but when I do so, nothing completes. I tried waiting for 5 minutes hinted by the text, but nothing happens.

So I just rearmed with loads of AIRS-T + the GAU, and killed 40 enemy fighters almost on my own, ya ! Objective number completes, but still stuck at dropping 8 marines ... :(

Too bad, I really like the humour and scenarios of your missions, would to finish the campaign.

Also: the map takes along time to load, seems caused by the huge cities, so if you could reduce a bit the number of buildings it would be great.

I struggled a bit with mission 5 too, the mission was a bit bugged.
That damn boat did not want to die, and I did some pickup not on the correct order, which meant not enough space for everyone, then droped some, but did not work and had to restart all over. Same for the mandatory carrier landing + reload, when I first did it, it did not register, had to do it again.
Maybe skip weapon reload as an objective, just hint at it and let the player do it when needed ?
For the boat, why not make it appear only later, so that it is realistically destroyable ?

One thing that is super helpful for players is including a "recommended loadout" in the briefing before each mission. Or at least tell the player what type of mission they will be flying: CAP, CAS, SEAD etc. It removes some of the ambiguity for the player. There is nothing worse than flying a ground attack mission and then at the end you get tasked with shooting down a fighter but didn't know to bring any AA.

Awesome! To clarify I didn't mean "remove the radio chatter" just that I found it a little much...
tOetOe  [author] 22 Sep, 2020 @ 3:38pm
I am currently having such a great time building the f45 campaign, it is sort of linked to the derkaderka, though i am learning on the job how to fly the thing too and how its mechanics work, but after that round 2 is back to the av42
Shnuh 22 Sep, 2020 @ 5:27am
This campaign is fantastic. One of the best on the workshop. I highly encourage you to make more!

I felt the radio chatter added some great ambiance to the missions and enjoyed it. The ability to use the full capabilities of the AV-42C is satisfying.
tOetOe  [author] 18 Sep, 2020 @ 11:35am
Mission 5 is indeed intended that way, as it is the story feed into 6

Thank you for your kind words

The radio chatter was mainly an experiment as yes should really be more balanced
Liao 18 Sep, 2020 @ 11:15am
I believe this is the best campaign in the entire workshop at this point. It has it's flaws (which are largely just due to my personal taste but oh well...) but all things considered... just awesome. Thank you for the time and effort you sunk into this! I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Wouldn't be me tho if I didn't complain about something too tho.
- Bit overloaded with largely incomprehensible endless chatter that just drowns out radio chatter actually relevant to the game
- Mission 5 appears to have a... problem... maybe...? ... with one of the hostile boats being invincible until the very end of the mission. Not sure, might be intended...
- rather large number of spelling errors *lingual-fascist-mode*

;)
