Just for the record, I would note in my current game Zedsbane is NOT breaking on load. I'm not sure what changed in what update or mod I'm using, but it's one of few weapons that aren't vanilla weapons that don't break for me when I load the game. Pretty much the opposite of the last major developer update. I wanted to let the mod author know. Maybe you don't have to change anything. You might want to test it first.

I SHALL RETURN! I've been away frrom PZ for a long time, but I am returning. I will update this, and all my mods... The breaking issue also happened in another mod... so one of the updates in my absence must have broken it. I will fix.

Is there anything that could be done to fix this? I'm fairly sure the Brita and Arsenal 26 weapons collab doesn't have the problem of the weapons diving in durability or breaking on a load, while another weapon mod, which causes often-used weapons to become special (a prefix and/or suffix) causes the weapon to break in a similar fashion once it gets its modification and then you load the game.

So what is different between melee weapons in the former and the latter, which also breaks, as well as this mod? In the legendary weapons mod, even firearms suffer this, so it may have something to do with modded durability?

Can confirm that after you quit and then reload a save, the durability gets lowered by an extreme amount.

If you've already killed about 100+ zombies and then quit and reload, the weapon instantly breaks due to the damage already done to it.

nice weapon but theres one thing - if you kill some amount of zeds then quit - and then continue again - weapon will be broken /

the weapon is too weak at its current state. This item has a potential as it appears immediately on your inventory. I do hope this Mod can be fix
