ah, see i tried png and they came out as static in game, I'll try tga next and see how that works.

@Roidtron77 don't worry about the files being square, all textures in video games are that's totally fine, as for jpeg, yeah that file doesn't support transparency, you'll have to use either .png or .tga for that.

how did you make these? I've been trying to make my own infected icons, but they always come out square shaped in game, and it's because there's no way to export a jpeg in a circle or with transparency

Sorry I should have been more clear, I'm talking about the VPK directory, you'll need a program like GCFScape to open them, you'll want to use the program to open the VPK called pak01_dir and then use the program to navigate to the vgui/hud folder, that's where you'll find all of the source hud graphics.

where are the original infected icons? according to creator's comment it's in left4dead2/materials/vgui/hud but whenever I get in the vgui folder, there's no hud folder.

In case of this add-on is not working on online servers; Prior to TLS update, all servers execute addonconfig.cfg file on server's local folder which has a "RestrictAddons" flag.
(on C:\Program Files(or)Program Files(x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Left 4 Dead 2\left4dead2\cfg)
Local servers need to modify the value of "RestrictAddons" flag on "versus", "scavenge", and "mutation15"(versus survival) to work this add-on properly.(default value for that is "1" which blocks add-ons to be used.)

@≥PURITY≤ yeah, unfortunately, this mod is incompatible with them as they are designed differently; player icons are circular while team icons are square.

It didnt show my teammates icons like this :(
