Sadly crashes the game nowadays when a player eats seasoned food
Attention Horse 7 Mar, 2024 @ 6:19pm
I know the mod is sadly not active anymore, but I would like to say, the toma sauce is worth less than its base components. A cooked tomato gives 20 hp and 12.5 hunger, so bare minimum, for a tomato and a carrot, we should be getting 23 hp and 25 hunger.

I wonder if we can configure the stats on some of the spices. Like Fruit Crystals giving 30% from just 3 honey and fist full of jam is suuuuuper cheap. A walking cane only gives 25% and you have to wait for winter to get it and that it cost gold etc to only get 25%. I wonder if the Fruit Crystals can be nerfed to 15%? A Mag gives 20% and players would have to venture down the caves.

Wow very thoughtful mod. Yeah this definitely adds complexity to Warly's character which is amazing. I do agree that Powder Cake and Jellybeans are overly used.
ChronoFox 12 Mar, 2023 @ 10:28am
is this mod compatible with the modern crafting table?
有个国王名叫涛涛 12 Dec, 2021 @ 5:41am
Why does the food with seasoning powder fall off the line
SucháVoda 12 Sep, 2021 @ 6:59am
Why would ever someone make toma sauce? Its not worth it at all.
Nepu Nepu 10 Sep, 2021 @ 9:11am
Can you make the mod that anyone can access to Warly's exclusive tab like portable crock pot, grill, etc, and seasoning that only warly can make it?
Nicola Void 16 Aug, 2021 @ 6:33pm
@Viktor thanks for answering and kindly suggesting solution :)
Viktor  [author] 16 Aug, 2021 @ 7:57am
@Nicola Void: Sorry but I'm not too much interested in server mods anymore since I do almost only play on public servers. It might be a nice concept but Warly's seasonings don't seem to be too popular among players.

Feel free to find some other modders who could revive this mod, the coding might be bit bad and incompatible between other mods which introduce more seasonings to the game since it was my first attempt to make a server mod.
Nicola Void 14 Aug, 2021 @ 7:47pm
It's sad to see this mod left alone and discontinued. I hope some day will get updated , the concept is really neat :steamsad:
Joey McBassFace 27 Mar, 2021 @ 8:11pm
I would suggest Dry Rub, which would strengtehn the stats of any meat based dish (meatballs, meat skweres, meaty stew) by say, 45%. as punishment for not remembering the categories of a dish, sweets and veggie dishes shouldn't benefit from the dry rub but rather lose their sanity stats. (like, putting dry rub on icecream would be disgusting. so would a vegetable stinger. It only makes sense. Thanks for reading, I hope you implememnt this!

Don't mean to report again, but @Viktor the new sugar and new garlic still crash on consumption...
DJ 21 Jan, 2021 @ 12:28pm
It's nice how this mod is compatible with Heap of Foods, but 2 things I should mention @viktor ;
1. Spicing the foods with these spices end up with wet goop, thus requiring console for such spiced foods. 2. The foods lack a texture when spiced, leaving only the spice at the bottom right corner.
Cutlass 7 Jan, 2021 @ 9:03pm
Is this mod compatibility with Heap of foods mod ?
KreygasmTR 6 Jan, 2021 @ 9:35am
Has some minor issues with mini signs for some reason.
Snakai 22 Dec, 2020 @ 10:41am
After eating Honey Ham with Fruit Crystal Seasoning, my world crash
Nicola Void 8 Dec, 2020 @ 4:55am
- Pumpkin seasoning : warms you and grants winter insulation ( seasoning aplied to cookies [ warms your heart ,reminds of grandma ] maybe requiring milk (?) . Expensive but makes milk and cookies more relevant while granting insulation for longish time making milk worthwhile too.

- Could there be a pricy seasoning causing the player to act a lightning rod ? Would be useful to WX players

ps. I think damage reduction seasoning wouldn't be bad..
ps.2 Sorry if my post is kinda overwelming , just throwing some ideas that you may or may not find interesting . I really love seasoning stuff idea ! Thanks again ! :DSTchester:
Nicola Void 8 Dec, 2020 @ 4:55am
First of all thank you so much for sharing your mod . This really makes Warly more special and due to the new " Reap what you sow " update makes all those veggies more useful . I 'd love to see pomegranate/pumpkin/durian/eggplant/watermelon being more useful via seasoning !

- Maybe pomegranate/watermelon seasoning : cools you down and grants summer insulation ( both grow in summer )

- Durian seasoning : granting waterproof ( and/or causes monsters to not be hostile towards player [ i dont even know if thats possible ,just throwing ideas ] , durian is a monster veg after all )

ColorfulClusterf*ck 4 Dec, 2020 @ 2:56pm
this mod seens hella cool and very creative
DJ 17 Nov, 2020 @ 1:42pm
I see. Take thy time.
Viktor  [author] 17 Nov, 2020 @ 12:47pm
@DJ So far I managed to fix the bug which despawned the character when changing shards with the sugar or garlic buff active. I might look into making it compatible with other mods aswell but that might take more time and I'm also busy with studying.
DJ 14 Nov, 2020 @ 11:57am
Also, Viktor, turns out the regenerating garlic spice is broken entirely, too. It isn't just 'cuz of jellybean collision.
DJ 14 Nov, 2020 @ 10:43am
Lovely, lovely. And np.
Viktor  [author] 14 Nov, 2020 @ 3:44am
@DJ: Thank you for your report, I can confirm that the sugar buff appears to be buggy (changing shards with the buff active appears to despawn your character) and I also might look whether I can make this mod compatible with the other mods.
DJ 13 Nov, 2020 @ 12:02pm
Or, crash servers with caves*
DJ 13 Nov, 2020 @ 12:01pm
Oh, and the new sugar seems to crash the game when you eat something with that spice applied to it.
DJ 13 Nov, 2020 @ 11:55am
Perhaps you can make this compatible with mods like Feast and Famine or Legion or Uncompromising? Or do you need the devs' approval for compatibility?
Dvil 24 Oct, 2020 @ 2:58pm
IMO you could make it as additional spices instead of changing existing ones for better variety.
DJ 22 Oct, 2020 @ 2:08pm
Seeing how the new cave content update is out, you may need to update this mod so the spices apply to the new foods.
Viktor  [author] 28 Sep, 2020 @ 3:54am
@Pyro is Shy!: Buffing the health to 20 would grant you 40 health per Toma Root and render Quality Seasoning or the new Garlic Powder useless. Toma Sauce is supposed to be a cheap seasoning suitable for any kind of dish, making it rewards you with +10 sanity and infinite perish time (until it gets applied on a dish) at the cost of not granting you the 17 health you would get from eating the cooked toma root and cooked carrot directly (which anyway can't be consumed by Warly).
Pyro Is Shy 27 Sep, 2020 @ 9:47pm
Idea: a poisonous spice that adds a -200 hp penalty to whatever dish you apply it to, useful for killing hungry mobs or for forcefeeding in PVP situations
Pyro Is Shy 27 Sep, 2020 @ 8:29pm
IMO, toma sauce should give 20 health instead of 3 health to the dish, because thats what cooked toma root gives anyways
thediaper 20 Sep, 2020 @ 12:20am
I don't think any seasonings are strong enough.
DJ 18 Sep, 2020 @ 5:12pm
The game can't cope jellybeans with the new garlic spice
Azure Blue Fox 18 Sep, 2020 @ 4:53pm
I love it! and the two new seasonings :)
Thank you for this mod man. im so giddy
Azure Blue Fox 14 Sep, 2020 @ 9:33pm
ok, I only wanted to give suggestions to help.
and you can still keep your recipes the way you want,
but what about those of us that cant run caves?
id love to use your garlic seasoning, but caves are to much for my computer :(
All in all, love the mod!
Viktor  [author] 14 Sep, 2020 @ 11:22am
@Azure Blue Fox: I just had to add another ingredient to Garlic Powder because Garlic only as ingredient felt a bit boring. In that case I decided to add LGB to its recipe since it literally grants you its effect over time just like the spice currently.
@Pistachio: Grim Galette has almost the same effect as your suggestion and nothing would stop players from applying that seasoning on Powdercake only if it heals you completly.
Azure Blue Fox 13 Sep, 2020 @ 9:37am
im not sure why glow berry was in the garlic seasoning,
but theres such a thing called garlic salt if that helps.
and there could be the alternate honey seasoning called "honey Glaze" or "Caramel"
not sure what it would do, but hope that helps.
and incase you missed my other idea, Pumpkin + pepper for "pumpkin spice"
Javi 13 Sep, 2020 @ 6:53am
Bueno :steamhappy:
Cuttlefish64 12 Sep, 2020 @ 4:30pm
wow thats a good idea :steamhappy: the resipy shold just be 3 glomer goop because 3 glomer goop heals 120 sooo...
ℂ𝕚𝕣𝕔𝕦𝕚𝕥𝕤 12 Sep, 2020 @ 11:36am
you should make some kinda spice using glommer goop,it could be cheap or pricy depending,i think it should heal you to full hp and hunger but half your (current) sanity, perhaps name it GoopGlaze?Like donuts?
Viktor  [author] 12 Sep, 2020 @ 3:52am
Thank you all for your feedback!
@quote188: Toma sauce is suppoed to be a cheap seasoning to start with and I feel like it's doing a good job right now. If the effect becomes too low for you you might change to quality seasoning which increases the stats of the dish by 33%.
@mouth67463_02: I wanted to keep my recipes creative and move viable for early game, a recipe requiring 3x rare farm crop doesn't fulfill both of the points compared to a recipe with 1x farm crop + 2 other ingredients.
Azure Blue Fox 11 Sep, 2020 @ 6:54pm
@MrZebras the seasoning could be Pumpkin Spice.
Pumpkin + Pepper
Cuttlefish64 11 Sep, 2020 @ 3:04pm
um why not just make the spice recipy only need 1 engedent ised of 3 or 4 and keep the ond spices the same :steamhappy:
Evonne 11 Sep, 2020 @ 2:55pm
there should be a option to be able to buff the toma sauce in the mods configurations
MrZebras 11 Sep, 2020 @ 11:37am
Yo add a seasoning that makes you move faster, since coffee doesn't exist in DST
Viktor  [author] 11 Sep, 2020 @ 11:09am
@quote188: I added the current recipes of the seasonings to the mod page but I also want to notice that those recipes aren't the final recipes and everything can change due to balancing or more creative recipes.
Evonne 11 Sep, 2020 @ 11:02am
it would be helpful if you add the recipes of the seasonings to the mod page
