All your stuff is fantastic. Like Rooke, I somehow missed this and am finally playing it. A really fun level. The attention to detail is just amazing.
Rooke 14 Nov, 2024 @ 6:12pm
I have no idea how I missed this map until now. I thought for sure I'd already played all of your maps...

Anyway, it's absolutely an amazing map. So many levels and puzzles, so much detail in every room, so much really good Hammer work and so many really well laid out rooms and vistas.

Kudos my friend!  :p2chell:
A new fave. :p2cube:

Another fabulous level in a long line of fabulous levels! You're easily my favorite creator on here, if there's ever a Portal 3 I'm gonna need them to hire you!

Enjoyably rigorous level! (a little bummed there was no escape scene at the end but most people don't know how to do that so i get it)

Part 9? I'm sure that would keep me busy for a while. And with Glados? I guess that would involve neurotoxin.

Thank you.

The lighting in the room one arrives in when stepping out of the elevator at the very beginning of this map is a a work of art in itself. And then the audio contrast as soon as stepping out of that room... That whole opening is like stepping into a top notch Hollywood science fiction movie. Kudos once again from me Sir Skyferret. Another great map if I say so myself. Thank you! I had loads of fun :-)

Always a pleasure :) Thank you.

Thanks for playing.

Well done, lots of time put into your maps is much appreciated. I always get caught up at the end. I've only been playing custom maps for about a month, some new stuff for me in this series, I like all the environmental eye candy that makes me like this game. I really enjoy your commitment to the fun factor in your maps.

@ZAEROS Stick with Most Rated in the main menu from time to time, it refers to life-time high rates, some were not to my own taste but the queue can last about a year before looping, and later on Valve server corrupted and Rated stop working for me, I especially enjoy Skyferret's maps and difficult old maps from Mevious and few others.
ZAEROS 12 Nov, 2020 @ 3:59am
I played this years ago I am sure? Wish somebody posted this type of map nowadays but most tend to be very short and exploiting a new bug of some sort. Will search back and see what is still available. Enjoyed, Thank you.

Secret defective turret
Joric 25 Sep, 2020 @ 8:14am
Super easy no logical puzzles no thinking required but kudos for the long map.
StabGami 21 Sep, 2020 @ 3:11am
Another top quality map! (Never saw a door as a portalable surface, though. Hmm) Great to see some new additions to your library.
Free Beer 19 Sep, 2020 @ 12:58pm
Great series. Excellent as usual!
Nycki 18 Sep, 2020 @ 11:57am
Yeah, thanks, I saw the ceiling but I hadn't watched it, si I didn't remark the hole.
^8PumpkinJack 18 Sep, 2020 @ 10:47am
OHH, thank you Skyferret, I've used the hammer editor for Gmod and CS:GO but I didn't know if portal had a different one, thank you man.
quatrus 18 Sep, 2020 @ 10:09am
Another spectacular adventure. I had to look around a bit but thanks for the flashing lights etc when needed. Well done again. Thanks for creating.
Andy T 17 Sep, 2020 @ 8:03pm
I think you should put a hint in it, I did that to my own map but I do remember few others did it before.
Skyferret  [author] 17 Sep, 2020 @ 7:09pm
If you mean the part where you portal to the other side of the turret assembly line and you find a room with a pile of junk to one side, look up.
Nycki 17 Sep, 2020 @ 6:18pm
it's weird, the round door at the end of the turret assembly line is closed and I don't find any button, any other place to shoot a portal, nothing to grab to possibly destroy the glass, I can't go back because the entrance door is closed... but I see people answered and rated it positively so it must be me.

Another great map! You set the bar very high for other creators, Skyferret. You really have a handle on stitching together a series of challenges and test chambers with a great setting and atmosphere. Some puzzles are easy, some are not, but the over all mix is very satisfying. Thanks for another series.
Skyferret  [author] 17 Sep, 2020 @ 2:16am
Those are prop_exploding_futbol, but the bombs you see moving through the tubes are prop_dynamic (npc/personality_sphere_angry) which are moving via func_trackrain. After the tube opens, the track train moving down passes a path track which fires output to spawn the exploding futbol.
SorkoPiko 17 Sep, 2020 @ 12:28am
also in hammer how do u summon bombs? i have not been able to find it online :p2aperture::steambored:
SorkoPiko 17 Sep, 2020 @ 12:20am
oh sorry, the first part of it (where the elevator is) has a wall with a DOOR HANDLE that i didnt see before
SorkoPiko 17 Sep, 2020 @ 12:19am
geez this is HARD!
Skyferret  [author] 16 Sep, 2020 @ 5:50pm
I use what's called Portal 2 Authoring Tools. Otherwise known as the Hammer Editor. So basically, if you have the game installed, the editor has access to all the assets that you see in the original game.
^8PumpkinJack 16 Sep, 2020 @ 11:29am
I have a question, how did you actually make the map? I only use the built in community chamber maker and it's limited and only so good. How did you add all of this other stuff and make it look this well and use all these different things?
Rx 16 Sep, 2020 @ 3:33am
Another great map thank you!!
Skyferret  [author] 15 Sep, 2020 @ 6:02pm
cantcle.......I guess the bomb detector/trigger for the white gel tube wasn't long enough
canticle 15 Sep, 2020 @ 5:13pm
Watched some playthroughs and now see what the bombs are for. I tried that on the front half of the white gel tube and it did nothing so I figured the white gel tube was just for show. I got speed gel on the ramp by juggling it until it lost momentum and then dropped it on the ramp area from the upper panels. It only covered one side of the ramp, but was easily usable
canticle 15 Sep, 2020 @ 4:51pm
Another great set of challenges in the Antares series. This one felt a lot more like 1 than did 2 (which was still good - don't get me wrong - just 1 and 3 are my faves). I never found a use for the "splody ball" bombs...and, for the final area of turrets, I feel there was supposed to be a clever use of the suction (like the previous), but for portal placement while being shot, portaling in behind was quicker - wish I'd had the bomb throwers at this point:steamhappy: I really liked using the suction to walk the cube along the wall as the final challenge - I have not seen that technique before, so it kind of only occurred to me once I figured out I couldn't use any standard tricks. Really enjoyed this - I really like the behind-the-scenes and dilapidated environments. Thanks so much!
Heatstreak 15 Sep, 2020 @ 3:18pm
Good level, but maybe it's a bit too long. When making the goo ramp, you can get stuck on the left side corner if you haven't put the white gel on. I was stumped for around 20 minutes for the last puzzle, but solved it. Also, maybe put an indication to the open the door for the first part. Good job :steamhappy:

Lol man just launched the game in like 3 years and the quality of the map is so damn good lol
